Ohhh ooooo where are the doubters and haters? Where are the "football experts" that after the first week of preseason wrote Henne off?

ChyrenB,
I dont think anyone was claiming Henne's performance was Peyton Manningesque or anything remotely in that category. But by no means was it a horrible performance. Henne managed the game very well, made excellent throws, other than 3 passes he was an above average NFL QB on Friday.

I want to keep this thread alive since it serves a good reminder to everyone, we shouldn't overreact.
With that said, what are reasonable expectations for Henne this year? That way we have a measuring stick up during the season.
Thoughts?

Berkeley,
I 100% agree. I posted the same thing last week concerning the timing of when we should judge Henne. But i think the most important part to remember is he does not need to be an elite QB for us to do well.

Wow after tonight, Henne should be in the Hall. I know it's pre-season, but I don't care. To me this game meant everything. Based on the first 2 games of pre-season, I can tell he will be the worst QB in the league and also a pro-bowler this year.
For some of you that don't get the above comment... I am patronizing the people that freaked out last week.

Here are Henne's stats over the last two years:
2010 Miami Dolphins 15 490 301 61.4 32.7 3,301 6.7 220.1 15 3.1 19 3.9 57T 37 4 30 178 75.4
2009 Miami Dolphins 14 451 274 60.8 32.2 2,878 6.4 205.6 12 2.7 14 3.1 67 23 4 26 176 75.2
Last year he had 3,000 yards passing and 61% completion percentage. If he swaps the 15 TDs for the 19 INTs, we are Playoff bound. Do you think after last night's

First of all, I am not saying he has improved (Even though his stats were up slightly last year over the year before). Second of all, I was one of

I am not making excuses, I am telling you to hold his feet to the fire game 1 against the pats.
I think our franchise looks like a bunch of idiots when the fan base is calling for Henne's head on the 3rd practice of the pre-season. Give the man 1 chance in the regular season, that's all I ask.
Trust me I am no Henne apologist.

The new additions to the Dolphins' offense via the draft will be eye catching to a veteran QB. If I'm any QB on the move this off-season Miami looks like an attractive destination. Heres why:
The offensive line will be one of the best in the league. With Jake Long covering the blindside in addition to Pouncey, Incognito and Carey there will be no gripes about QB protection or run blocking.

Daniel Thomas, RB, Dolphins. Believe it or not, Thomas may actually have lucked into being the top fantasy rookie of the season. He may have gone 34 picks after Mark Ingram, and he may have been the fifth rusher selected, but Miami has a gaping hole at running back, and Thomas is a great candidate to fill it. Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are free agents; one of them (Williams?) might return in

Love the pick. I like how he doesnt hesitate in traffic (hope that doesnt change in the pros). Also watched his interviews from the combine and a college spotlight on youtube and think this guy has great character.
Value wise, I think this may be our best pick of the draft.
