I want to reiterate that this wasn't a bad pick. I've been on this board for 3 drafts now. And I know most of us are optimistic (I remember arguing with some of you on the Pat White pick) about the picks. But just because there was a need and we filled it with a safe/good player, doesn't mean it was the right choice. BTW: TreasurecoastPhinsfan good points.

Also, I didnt mean for this thread to be a discussion on Mallett. The point was this is a typical pick for the dolphins... AKA more of the boring same...

The Dolphins had a chance to swing for the fences last night. I would have liked Ryan Mallett as the pick. But I would've been happy with any player that was dangerous, dynamic, a game changer. Instead we went for the safe pick, Mike Pouncey. This is no different from what the dolphins did all last season: they played for the field goal. The only difference between this regimen and the Wannst

as a big MD fan (didn't know there were any!) what do you think of Torrie Hunter? Your ignorance is forgiven... and I think you meant Torrey Smith. I think he worth a 2nd rounder, not a first. Additionally, i think he would fit nicely in our WR corps.

I am a big Maryland Fan and I will tell you that De Rel Scott is not who we want. He has great speed but doesnt have the vision nor the power a starting NFL RB should have. But I am all about Alan Bradford.

jlyell13, I am in 100% agreement with you. however, i would add Ryan Mallet to your list of QBs. I am hoping we can pick up Ryan Mallet at the end of the first round and get one of your aforementioned receivers.

I love Mallet, I have liked him since his days in Ann Arbor. I think he would be great pick at 15.

Does anyone think that DeAngelo Williams could be our solution at Running Back? With so many Running Backs going into free agency this off-season, I think we are best served to pick up a FA RB and not waste a draft pick on one. Thoughts?

1. No matter what happens he will be due is 2011 Salary. And without certainty of a 2011 Season why even attempt to change coaches? Or pay two coaches at one time. 2.The Offense has struggled this season, but with a good QB Sparano has shown he can win. With Pennington at the helm we won the AFC East and had a top rated offense. 3. He has shown he can fix problems. We have gone from 1-15 to

We have 1 game left before one of the most important off-seasons in recent dolphins history begins. We are without a 2nd round draft pick and have major holes at RB, OL, QB (?) and MLB (Crowder sucks). So my question is: Do we have anyone on our roster to get additional draft picks or players (Kyle Orton?) I think we are stacked at DE and Tony McDaniel, while i love the guy, would get us in

I am not advocating for a new coach, but if I was Dungy would be at the top of my list; if he had his name in the hat. You guys are nuts for trashing a guy that built the Bucs team that won the superbowl under Gruden and pushed the Colts over hump to win their super bowl. Dungy is a winner and you hardly ever see a winner lose.

I am on the McNabb Bandwagon. Sorry guys. He just had his worst NFL season since his 2nd year in the league. And it wasn't all his fault. I think McNabb can be extremely valuable to us next year.

If the Jets lose the next two games and beat Buffalo but we win our last 3 games... who wins the tie-breaker?

I goggled the Jets strength and conditioning coach yesterday and saw that he had a linkedin profile... that website now has been deleted... Ha! I bet he got a bunch of hate mail... well deserved.

"Richie Incognito has an overall grade of -0.5. He's got a -2.5 in pass blocking, and a +2.3 in run blocking. He has a -0.3 for his 3 penalties. He has allowed 3 sacks, 5 QB hits, and 7 QB pressures. He ranks 30th overall among guards. His run blocking is 15th. His pass blocking ranks 56th. His sacks allowed is 7th most among guards. His 5 QB hits allowed are the 2nd most." I bet
