You are oversimplifying. It is VERY doubtful that it was only Incognito. He is just the one who got caught. Racial slurs are a little more than "being mean".

The point some are missing is that the team suspended him for "conduct detrimental to the team". That tells me they have seen enough evidence that they want to separate themselves from Incognito.

And like Bill Polian said....If Richie Incognito is one of your team leaders, you are in trouble.

Sounds like everyine just went along with Richie because they didn't want to take him on. It wasn't just o-linemen as I have heard Odrick's name mentioned.

So by doing nothing, the other players have contributed to the problem. We have already seen that Pouncey isn't too smart, by his "free hernandez" message.

I dont buy the extent of the racial slur... If it was truly racially offensive and mean spirited the way Incognito was acting to Martin, The 40 other african americans on the team would not have put up with it and most likely beat Richie's ass... So I have to question it a bit that all of these others guys just ignored Incognito being a racist in the locker room...

You dont think it is odd that a whole locker room ignored Incognito being a racist to Martin... But the WR in Philly barely got out of his locker room alive when his team mates found out he used racial slurs towards a guy at a concert when he was drunk..... I just find it hard to believe or it was joking or a term of endearment of some sort... If he was truly being a racist punk, I dont believe Martin's team mates would have stood for it.... That is a fact I know...

Wasn't the racial slur on a voice mail or text? How would anyone not named Richie incognito or Johnathan martin even know about it unless one of them told someone?

Instead he bottles it up inside, saves it and waits until he abandons the team to send it to Adam Schefter an 8 month old voicemail... The whole thing is entirely suspicious to me...

Martin has been setting this up for a while it seems, and waiting to make this BS move... Why not address it in the offseason or when it happened instead of now to the press? This guy is F8cking loser for pulling this crap, how and when he did...

Crowder, it may have been that that was one hot blooded moment comment by Igcognito.

Remember there was an incident at a football stadium recently where some celebrity (I can't remember who) was asked by a Black security guard at the stadium to move on and he got mad and said, "I'll fight every N in this house".

In that context, the celebrity could have been using the word to say he'd fight every man in this house.

Again, as eesti says, we don't know the facts but suppose that was just the straw that broke the camel's back coming at the end of a long trail of incidents as eesti said where Igcognito had either turned everyone against Martin or at least frightened them into silence.

Seen as such, rather than being a crybaby, maybe Martin just said "F*ck this team. I'm leaving!" Me and Pouncey are the only stars on this O line and I'm getting this sh*t from this dude and they won't back me up? Screw them."

Who is the p*ssy? Martin or the guys on this team, including defensive players, who won't slam Igcognito against the wall and say "enough of this BS."

Martin's perception as a p*ssy or a weak link is just the type of personality an ah*le like Incog would attack. No wonder our offensive line was dysfunctional. No wonder they played so much better when the 2 problems were removed.

Goodbye to both of 'em. I do feel a bit sorry for Martin you don't come to work to take shit everyday. Taking shots from teammates is ok but when it goes overboard its time for someone to take charge. From my experience the person that keeps taking the shots is the one w/ the problem. Martin's family sounds educated Incognito's like a bunch of idiots sounds like Incog had a personal problem w/ Martin's background.

Coaches failed on this one to. This hole org needs to be cleaned out.

I was getting at the fact that people are assuming this was public knowledge and it was ignored by the front office, staff and other players when the very nature of the "offensive" comments was private.

So either martin went to Philbin to complain and they ignored it, or he never said a word and they knew nothing about it.

Based on Martins actions the last week and the timing of the comments as well as the time line of martin's actions I'm guessing it's the latter and not the former.
