Marin said it wasn't about bullying, the Dolphins said it wasn't about bullying... But Adam Schefter and Alex Marvez keep pushing from un named sources that it was absolutely about bullying... Without Schefter pushing back with un named sources this story dies... But he is just stirring the pot with unknown sources.. Schefter is a piece of shit IMO.... If everyone involved said it wasn't the case, who the hell is he to deny it, with out having any proof other then un named people, not directly involved... When the named people all made statements to the contrary of his report... Schefter is just making it harder on Martin, Incognito and our team by creating drama and further empowering the distraction.... So I don't get it.... Until I hear different from the actual people involved, I stick by what the actual people involved said, not these other reports by media with an agenda... And in that case it should be dropped and Martin should be left alone to get his act back together...

bullying implies someone physically intimidating someone else. how the hell can this 300+ guy be bullied by anyone? he's bigger than incognito and almost everyone else on the planet.

I think the "new" accusations that came out today is spin control on Martins part, and I think his agent is pushing it to save face, his agent has to know he'll have a hard time finding a team to take him unless they can somehow make him seem sympathetic in all of this.

That may very well be true but still we don't know.

I don't think it is his agent. The agent needs this story to die, not give it more legs..... I think it is Martin's parents being pushed by reporters... Who are being protective of their little Johhny, like any parent would be... They are picking on my boy and he is our little champion... Martin himself knows it is not on Incognito, it is issues he is facing, why else would he be getting mental health help right now... And the parents have to blame anyone but their kid, pretty natural....

part of it might be to protect his own $$. If he walks out on the team bc he was just upset that he was demoted/teammates pulled a prank, the team doesn't have to pay him. If he makes this a league issue of "bullying" then he's got a case that the team should pay him. So he made a formal complaint.

You might be right Crowder, but I was lumping his "team" into calling it his agent, supposedly he texted incog that it wasn't about him, then all of a sudden he files a formal complaint, someone got to him, sounds like something an agent might float to help J-mart save some face.

Yeah, you are right, very good point... Especially if he lost the desire for the game and doesn't like it nor the culture of the NFL... This could very well be about collecting the rest of his contract or a lawsuit, to set up his future without football..

When did he file a formal complaint? Any reference, I saw 4 or 5 hours ago, that no formal complaint had been filed?

martin's agent filed a formal complaint with the nfl alleging player "misconduct." I don't know what the specific alleged misconduct was (the article crowder linked to doesn't say it was the 15k thing) but apparently it is some of this supposed hazing stuff at the bottom of it

Which to me says his agent is grasping at straws to help his client save face and not look like some giant smelly vag in need of some summers eve, he sees an easy target in Incog to try and make his client look like a sympathetic victim, in todays world of "political correctness", it just might work, but J-Mart will have a hard time getting accepted into any NFL locker room from here on out.

it's all about getting paid while he's gone from the team. a formal greivence helps that a lot.

Since he's incognito to begin with, nobody's even going to notice that he's gone.

I'm not lawyer but didn't the team have to do this once an official complaint was filed or risk greater legal exposure?

With all that is going on, I would be extremely surprised if Martin ever played another snap with any team in the NFL again. So everything we are going to hear or see is financially motivated.. Martin is such a pussy and can go jump off a bridge for all I care... To be honest I am glad Richie is gone too... Let's just move on... And hope to never see either of them again... Total BS all the way around... Maybe we should just clean house with the coach and GM at the same time.. The GM for putting these guys on the roster and the coach for failing to control and lead these players... This is all so amateur on so many levels...

In hindsight I'm wondering if any of this dysfunction had anything to do with Jake Long's decision to move on to another team. I don't believe the money was all that big a factor.

It's easy to sit back and pass judgement when you don't really know the facts. (I am guilty of this as well). One or two reports or public statements do not tell the entire story.

It's also easy to call the guy a pussy but if he is getting harrassed it's most likely instigated by one person (Incog) BUT reinforced by other moron followers who would rather "go along" rather than potentially putting yourself in the same situation as the victim. These are the pussies in my book.

So yeah, it's easy to sit at home a call the man a pussy but you don't have an entire group of giants harrassing your every move.

Incognito is know for being very smart. Combine that with bad intentions and it's a formula for disaster.

Just because they pulled the same prank on Garner means nothing if they weren't constantly harrassing Garner. It's very likely that Martin did go along with the prank which was probably not performed with ill intent. It was his way of trying to fit in with the guys that were harrassing him and possibly get some relief from the spotlight. That's all in good fun.

What you don't see or possibly realize is that the situation may have been vastly different when it happened to Martin.

Suppose just prior to going to lunch he was called a racial slur (also rumored) or something of a similar viscous nature and then the lunch room incident happened. You can sort of empathise with the situation under those likely circumstances.

It's not like this was an isolated incident as it probably was for Nate Garner.

Like I said, I am guilty of making a judgment before the facts as well but maybe we should all take a step back until the ACTUAL facts come out. What did the text say? In what spirit was the voicemail message delivered? We don't know these facts.

If the bullying is going on, it is from a group of people. That's how they get their power....by getting followers to back them up because deep down they are the coward. It's easier said than done to stand up to the situation if it is only going to make your every day life worse because everyone is going along with it.

If this happened in an office eesti I might agree with you. But this is football. Incognito may be the biggest douchebag of a teammate ever, but martin should have abandoned the rest of his team because incognito was mean to him

It may also have affected his play ON THE FIELD. Our O-Line has not been good as a unit since Incognito has been here.
