Just listening to NFL network on Sirius radio and they were speculating that Olsen could be had from Chicago because the system Martz runs relies more on a blocking TE then a recieving one. This was purely speculation on there part so i'm not even sure in the Bears would move him but I'd make a go at him if they were willing. They're short on recievers so maybe Ginn and a later pick or one of our

Just read on an MMA web-site that that fatso was fined 50Gs by the J.E.T.S. jets, jets, jets. At least they did something right......if they actually make him pay it that is

The 2 big names that keep getting tossed around are Marshall and Bowe, if they were available what would you be willing to give up for them? Marshall to me is the cream of the crop but I dont think i'd give up more then 1 pick and a player, if they said Ginn and your 1st I might consider it because he's that good, but if they said a 1st and a 2nd or 3rd or 2 1st's I wouldn't do it (we have far to

5465. Re: WR's?
Why does everyone assume Bowe will be traded? I think KC would trade him for the right price to help them with thier re-building but that would likely take a boat load of picks.

5466. Re: WR's?
With the current CBA situation and the FO coveting picks as they do I dont see us getting any big names before the draft, I think we will draft someone from the 2nd rnd on down and hope that person as well as some of our own young WRs develope into a solid group ala the Giants or Vikes (although Rice looks like he's a star in the making)

eesti I dont see Clausen being a top 10 pick let alone #1 overall but I will admit I have a little bit of ND bias in me

Couldn't see us getting much for Porter either. The trade scenarios on this board crack me up some times

If they utilize him right and with another camp under his belt he could get 14 sacks Mike. Coaching and schemes can improve average players game's, it's been proven in the past. If you choose to be negative about everything I dont know what to tell ya

Mike I realize we need some better players but you do realize that Nolan took Denvers D from like #26 last year to #7 this year. That kind of turnaround HAS to have something to do with the coach

Det. was one example because I couldn't think of all the other high rnd busts (someone had a good post on another thread pointing out all the names). I wouldn't burn all my gear if they drafted him and I would hope i'm wrong but WR just seems really hard to predict, just scares me at 12

To me WR is too much of an inexact science, it's not just Ginn but look at the host of Det. recievers that were drafted higher and didnt pan out, pretty sure they were "can't miss" also, then look at all of the stud WR's drafted later or went undrafted.

I live in Chicago so I already have Minny and Green Bay penciled in as road trips to add to my ultimate life goal of seeing the Dolphins in every NFL stadium before I die.....

The only way I would take a reciever in the 1st rnd is if we trade down and get another pick or 2. Maybe it's the Ginn hangover but I don't take one at that 12th spot.

Under some of the past regimes I would say get rid of all our draft picks because they couldn't do anything with them anyways, but this regime seems to know what they're doing so I would agree with your thoughts

MikeO Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Moving Boldin for 2 Top 40 picks........I would > think Arizona does that in a heartbeat!! But your scenario is Boldin and their 1st for our 1 and 2, cant see em doing it. I dont see them moving Boldin at all to be honest with you, I think we'd have a better chance at Marshall or Bowe before Anquan

Sounds good Mike but I dont see them giving up Boldin for a 2nd rnder and moving up 10/12 spots in the first. I dont know that I move Ronnie for just a 2nd, like Realist said a 2nd and a 4th/5th or decent player in return and then maybe

Kinda hard to trade a guy and get anything good coming off a major injury dontcha think? And if we trade him we would then have to use a high pick to replace him with an untested rookie = bad move.

The local Chi-town sports guy said he should be the 3rd WR taken after Dez and Tate, sound right? If so he should be there later in the 1st I would think.

Didn't really affect me hearing about this too much until I read the story and saw the pic of him and his 3 kids, very sad to think of those kids without their father (especially around the holidays). Stuff like this hits you harder after having a kid of your own. Very sad.

I think Thigpen is sticking around as Henne's backup but White stays listed as the #2 for wildcat plays (just like Henne earlier in the year). If they continue to run it i'd like to see Thigpen give it a go, good runner with a way better passing threat.
