I've been wondering if this un-capped year is gonna cause havoc on getting draft picks signed? The agents will want to squeeze out every last drop cuz they'll know next year will probably have a rookie cap, and the teams wont be able to use "cant go over the cap" as an excuse to only offer X amount of dollars. Slightly possible.......highly unlikely. This would be like egg on their face to eat all that money then re-sign him with a new signing bonus, and it would also reek of desperation. I'm all for the signing as long as he's not out the 1st 6/7 weeks, not for 2.5.....if the whole PUP thing is actully true. If we need him for that cake strictly for his head then we need to fire the QB coach and my only point was that Ross said he was gonna spend wisely and paying a back-up QB 2.5 mil on a one year contract when he's gonna be on the PUP for 6 weeks would not be spending wisely...

Darnell Dockett DT of the AZ Cards just said on Sirius NFL radio that Dansby's best fit is the Dolphins, said he doesn't see him going to a cold weather East coast team, won't play in a 4-3 and he's not all about who the highest bidder is, sounds good to me. Lets be honest the Jets totally backed into the playoffs with Indy sitting their starters and got pretty lucky in their 2 playoff wins. Defense is better that's a given but all this other stuff is up for debate. I'm more worried about the Pats then I am the Jets right now.
