Geez, I feel like an old codger with nothing special to talk about in an exciting way. It's become "oh- hum" the Dolphins are back to ground zero again. The franchise seems to be doing the same thing over and over and expecting a better result. We've changed coaches how many times, same with assistants, players are drafted and all have expectations of developing and making the team a co

Hooligan--your speculation may be accurate. Tampa is far better than I expected this year; the Dolphins are much worse than expected as we all hoped the team would be building upon last year's effort. Not so. Realistically, Tampa will out-distance us on the score board. We have no offense to stay in the game. I will record the game and watch it without commercials and breaks later t

With Grant GONE who will be returning kick offs--not that it matters much with so many ball going out of the end zone. We should trade the "big 3 committee" on offense for one person to be the OC and to own it. Too, too late for anybody of quality to step in during the season. Another stupid Dolphins dilemma.

Grant didn't perform. Simple. Goodbye and good luck at a second chance.

Hire Marino to replace the 3-man OC team. He couldn't do worse.

If we assume that there is talent on the team...we need to upgrade the coaching staff to improve the level of play as a unit. Rather than hope for a star getting picked in the draft, we need to hire FA players that are starters and pay them to get them. Tua is a fragile QB and his value to the team has diminished greatly. He's not the QB we thought (or some thought) he would be. Getting rid

The Dolphins haven't hit rock bottom yet. They will when the are manhandled by the Jests. I don't expect a Dolphins win. Agree, the team has regressed.

I am not a shrink but have stayed numerous time at a Holiday Inn Express. With that out front--as I see it.... I believe that when the offense on any team is competent, it helps make the defensive players more stable and competent in what they need to do on every play. Conversely, when the offensive team is below the competent level, it adversely effects the defensive players mentally and ph

Are we all in Groundhog? Every season we seem to repeat the same thing. It's very hard to stay hopeful anymore. We've opined that it's management. It's scouting. It's the inability to field the right player and cast a way other players who seemed really good. We've questioned the play calling, the coaching, the assistant coaching, the refs, just about everyone except the ground crew and beer

I was in Publix earlier today buying groceries and was wearing Dolphins hat and T-shirt. The place was very busy and I was the ONLY person sporting Dolphins gear. Does that say something about the fans and this lackluster team. I think it does.

Our D is playing okay. Colts offense is really lacking. Our offense is really, really lacking. This could be a game with less than three scores total by both teams.

1pm game tomorrow at the stadium. Colts (0-3) are not on top of their game by a long shot. The Dolphins o-line is still the weakest link in the offensive game. If they can muster blocking consistency Brissett may have enough time to throw to receivers. BTW, Brissett used to be a Colts QB and this could be an interesting game. Go Dolphins!

We see the same thing in other sports. Baseball for instance. A ball player barely making the line up on one team is traded to another and suddenly has the opportunity to maybe start and play in consecutive games. During that opportunity, the guy makes great plays on the field and gets on base, scores, and gets rbis to boot. Now the guy is important to the new team. He has taken the opportunity a

Making a significant change at OC during the season isn't going to work. Hiring "former" top linemen (retired) to assist the assistant coaches by teaching technique might be a good thing to do. I am sure for the right money, one or two highly respected tackles, guards and center could provide useful tips to our O-line players that would improve their play as a unit. These guys would act

We've had lots of coaches since Shula. Johnson was probably the best post-Shula, and the jury is still out on Flores. There are coaching and training problems along with questionable position moves, especially on the O-line. I do think it was a mistake to let Fitzpatrick go as he was a guy that Tua could learn from in a variety of ways--Flores too. Do I think the shine is diminishing on

The way things were going with a few minutes left, I was ready to write this one off. Then, surprisingly, the Dolphins tied the game. Wow, I thought. In OT, the Raiders won the toss and put the Dolphins D back on the field. That was a smart move on their part. They got a FG and the Dolphins came through and matched them. The D was exhausted and it showed as the Raiders moved down the field a

Our "hopeful" QB is sidelined...no surprise. Even if he comes back in a few weeks, his durability is a weakness that opposing teams will take advantage of with blitzes. A few hard hits and he'll not perform very well afterwards--punch drunk.

TC, I have the same tv. I can guarantee that it doesn't make the plays any better. LOL. It's a late game so I'll be busy doing other things until the game starts. I sure hope the team can avoid another blow out. Heaven only knows how disgusted we fans are with this constant need to rebuild or re-tool to try and become competitive.

Tomorrow, the Dolphins face a tough Raiders team. Brissett, in for Tua, will face multiple threats from defensive linemen, LBs and corners. Our o-line has to grow up and play strong and smart or the Dolphins will face another long afternoon. The Dolphins can't risk another QB injury. I have my fingers crossed for the best (optimism high) but reality will be on the field against a Raiders team

For starters, the o-line players need to play in their best positions. Start where they played in college. Improve their blocking techniques in those positions. Work them in concert with their fellow linemen until execution is old hat. Tua has yet to sparkle in anything he's done. He seems like a bright guy but is not physically durable. So, I must agree that he's not the answer. The Dolphins

Okay, so the focus is now aiming at Grier for incompetence in selecting "real" talent. I get it. I also want to add something else to the mix and that is coaching and training. If what we see is based on solid training, teaching and coaching, then there is certainly a major problem with the level of talent the Dolphins have on the team. If what we see is the mishandling of talent b

A pounding by the Bills. No offense by the Dolphins. Dolphins, once again, have a pathetic o-line. Year-after-year it is the same old malady. Jesse Davis at RT is horrendous. The o-line was out-muscled and unable to move fast enough to stay with hard rushing Bills D linemen and blitzing linebackers or backs. Again, I don't understand why the Dolphins always have players not playing po

What a shameful disgrace. Horrific o-line play. There is no strength there never mind speed. I am beginning to think we have an RG3 as our QB. He's not a big enough body to take hits. Jesse Davis is a joke at RT. He's too slow, and I mean slow. Geez, this is embarrassing. Coaching has to be one critical factor in positioning these o-line players. I'm sick and tire of players being calle
