Tonight, Devonta Smith, superstar Wide receiver at the University of Alabama won the Heisman Trophy. He is just the 3rd WR to win the Heisman. Devonta Smith will go high in the NFL draft. Perhaps 3rd after two well known QBs. If he is still available at #3, the Dolphins would be insanely foolish to let this instant star slip away. He is so dynamic of a receiver with uncanny athleticism to go

Clearly our running attack is inconsistent. The caliber of RB is one facet, the other is the run blocking. These two areas need to improve either by better coaching and learning that improves the player's ability or an upgrade in personnel. Same holds true with our receiving corps. More play makers are needed. We may have one 'A' receiver in Parker, but Gesicki is still learning and is probably

The calendar year has changed. Nothing other than that. However, I do wish everyone a better, healthier year and hope the new vaccines can tame this damn virus so all of us can enjoy life again. Keeping the faith here. Go Dolphins.

In September I wrote this about Tua: "More often than not the media has fallen in love with a player just to find out that they were overzealous in their commentary. I too have doubts about Tua's play in the NFL. Playing time will eventually prove or disprove what kind of force we have at QB. In the meantime, we skeptics just have to wait and see while we watch Fitzpatrick and the new offens

I just watched some of the "5th Quarter" on local channel 33 here in South Florida. Flores was interviewed and the bottom line was the team played lousy. He said that over and over to every question. Moreover, I truly believe this blow out game and lackluster performance greatly embarrassed Flores. He rambled on about the team's overall performance and stayed away from criticizing i

We scored. That's good, but Tua remains disappointing. The hype was just that....

The Dolphins are terribly outclassed in this game. The Bills passing game is superb and the running game is working too. With no "A" players as receivers--that includes Parker and Gesicki, the Dolphins can't do much in the passing game to move the ball. Moreover, Tua doesn't have any spark. His balls flutters when thrown. We have just 6 points--two field goals--the Bills have

We are watching A Bills' blow out of the Dolphins. I see nothing with Tua. He may not be the QB answer we were hoping for.

The Dolphins post season may hinge on the team beating the Bills in Buffalo--the last regular season game. The Bills are 12-3 and the Dolphins are 10-5. Win or lose, it still comes out to 10 wins. This is a big step for the team and the franchise, IMO. The Bills seem to be red hot at this time and Josh Allen has proved the naysayers wrong in that Allen is a franchise QB. I've enjoyed watchi

COVID-19, hmmm. There is no good time to get this infectious disease, sorry to learn Fitzpatrick tested positive. Just like all things this year, all of us have had to rearrange plans and do what we can do to stay safe while trying to carry on a normal existence. This positive test places our rookie QB in the spotlight without any hope of having the elder QB come in to hold on to a victory o

Yes, I also agree. Tua was tentative and he knew it. His receivers weren't open long enough, not enough distance between the receiver and the defender for him to feel comfortable to make the throws. In contrast, it was easy to spot the difference in experience between Fitzpatrick who knew he could throw in front of his receiver and they could catch the ball. This confidence comes from playing and

#24 Byron Jones--a gross disappointment. Not the CB hyped to be. He doesn't cover well. Not just this game...he doesn't tackle or cover like so many expected. No shut down corner. Dolphins are in deep trouble. Fitzpatrick can move the team, but receivers must make crucial catches to pull out another score.

Faster pace helped sync the offensive with short passes and a few quick bursts for yardage. Gaskin's catch and run lead to a much needed first touchdown. Game is tied at 13. Defense needs to bear down and stop the Raiders to get field position.

Receivers are not getting open and Tua is tentative with his decision making...hope he can adjust his game in the 2nd half. Defense is not in sync....a few good plays but we need more. Coverage isn't terrible, Carr is timing his throws really well and his receivers are completing most of them. Disappointed with Tua in this game so far---he is showing what appears to me to be a a lack of

It's Saturday. Big game on TV tonight as the Dolphins prepare to whip Gruden's Raiders. The Dolphins team will once again be a patchwork of substitutes playing hard to step up and make consistent and big plays. Carr is slated to started so the front four and others must pressure and pressure this guy to succeed. Defense will play a prominent role, again. Looking forward to to big game ton

"Tua learned from his foibles of the first half. He's learning!" Rick, those are my choice of words while watching the ballgame. Your opinion of Tua at this point differs from the views of many others, however, you won't be vilified for expressing a different view point. I was one that believed RG III was too small, too thin to stand up to the punishment he would receive in

Watching Trevor Lawrence last evening against ND convinces me that he is going to be better than Tua, Burrows, Herbert and Mahomes. The only problem is he will go to the Jets...and that team will ruin him. Not sure I agree with Tua being mediocre, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt coming off a serious injury and not having a pre-season to mature a bit more. Time will tell though. R

A Big Win for a team struggling offensively. Lots of players today stepped it up particularly in the 2nd half. Kudos to all for the hard play and the persistence to keep hitting hard. Really like Roberts. He hits hard and is around the ball. Trick punt play was almost perfect. Disappointed that it was nullified. Blocking was quite effective today and Ahmed saw holes and went over 10

Newton pass to Meyers caught and Howard punches the ball out and is recovered by Dolphins (Roberts). Another great team defensive play. This follows our scoring drive. Momentum now in our favor. Go Dolphins!

Half time. Tua is perplexed. He has had some opportunity to run the ball when the receivers were not open and scrambled to no avail. Second guessing him, he should of run a bit to keep the Patriots wondering. They have Tua stymied. The Patriots are also struggling and the Dolphins defense is hanging tough so far. Losing an apparent Cam Newton fumble and defense TD, really killed possible mom

I've hesitated to post, wanted to watch more of our offense. Tua is a bit baffled. He drove the team well and threw an errant pass near the goal line that was intercepted. His follow up possession is marked with mistakes and some indecision. I hope he settles down.

The word that comes to mind is "transition." The Brady era in NE has run its course and every Dolphins and Buffalo fan knows this fact. It was a miraculous run for NE. No one can argue successfully to the contrary. With Brady's departure and the growth of Buffalo at all positions, the transition away from NE being dominant is over. Two teams will vie for the top slot in the division

The Patriots play the Dolphins at 1 pm on Sunday. Both teams are suffering from injuries or illness that is limiting their ability to field the best players. The team with the most heart, IMO, is the Dolphins. They have shown real enthusiasm and grit game after game despite who was taking the field; they have an attitude edge over the Patriots that could make a difference in the final score.

MNF game between the Ravens and Browns kept me awake. Both quarterbacks are terrific in the way they play. The game could of gone either way. It was exciting to say the least. Lamar Jackson relied on his running ability for most of the game and scrambling like he did allowed the final scoring drive to clinch the victory for the Ravens. The Ravens are no longer the defensive team of years p

Tua, given time and based on the play book and caliber of his teammates, will develop his own NFL football characteristics. The young fellow shows great promise. He'll grow just like the number of Dolphins' wins and fans in the stadium. Josh Allen seems to be on the right track for Buffalo. It HAS taken time for him to blossom and it seems too coincide with his supporting cast. The team is

This message is directed at SamSam-- Samsam, you apologized to me and Treasure Coast a month ago and now you are once again trolling for a reaction by calling up your favorite topic, Tannehill. Apparently your apology was meaningless or you have a short memory. Well, you have gotten a reaction to calling Tannehill a wet firecracker--me. He is playing on another team and is no longer a Dolphin

My thoughts: The Dolphins are going places! They fought very hard, never quit, pushed to get more and came up short. Very pleased with the team and Xavien Howard who intercepted another pass which re-motivated the offense in the second half. The offense is weakened because of all the injuries, yet they scored despite themselves. When the team has a full complement of players this team will b
