Today I received a phone call from my oldest friend. We've known each other all our lives. Regretfully, he is a Patriots fan and a Tom Brady fan. He called to wish me Happy New Year but also to kid me about the Dolphins game against the Titans. He was clearly ribbing me about the game to push my buttons. Laughingly I told him he was correct, the Dolphins offense does stink. And...watching the Do

Astro34, your second point about lack of arm strength possibly due to the hip injury is sound. Perhaps, Tua has not fully recovered and that's why the Dolphins are putting in Brissett on QB sneaks (or 4th and 1) situations. If that's the case, a non full or 95% recovery matters and truly effects Tua's ability to reach his potential.

Post draft sour grapes. We should have drafted Creed Humphrey and that would have been a great foundation at center. Oh well.

With our last game on the horizon, it is the O-line that must step up and provide 2 seconds more time after the snap so receivers can run their respective routes and Tua can do more than "dink and dunk" on almost every passing play. We, the fans, his teammates, coaches and talking heads need to see another side of Tua. Tua needs time.
Stepping it up by the offense also means holes

I didn't catch what Joe Rose thought about the game, so I can't respond to that at all. However, I've watched every Dolphins game for years without interruption and do believe that Tua is lacking in one critical area--arm strength.
With a subpar O-line that provides hardly any time for receivers to get down field which prevents medium to long pass plays, the game callers began using the quick

Monday morning.
Devante Parker isn't playing well IMO. What I saw yesterday was an inability to run good routes to breakaway from coverage and when targeted not using his hands but more of his chest to catch the ball.
(Does that make sense?) Gesicki is a good receiver, but don't think of him much as a TE. He seldom blocks. He is more of a big WR.
The O-line still is weak in 1) pass prot

Terrible offensive "sandlot play." We have little to speak of--a damn field goal. The game is out of control and the Titans will win handedly.

I've said it before. Jessie Davis is too slow. He can't block if he has to move.
Tua is afraid to run. That's what I am detecting from his play. He needs to take off once or twice. Also, bringing in Brissett is foolish tactics on short yardage.
Offense is unable to play with the better teams. That's my take.

Half-time.
Offense is showing its weaknesses. Duke Johnson provides good hope on the ground but Tua's weak arm strength is adversely effected by the cold, windy and wet weather. RT's throws are much stronger and the Titan running game provides balance in their attack.
We need to put RT on his back a few times. However, pressure is lacking to this point.
We need more very short, quick

Good morning everyone. People are still celebrating the new year in my neighborhood and I hope they left a few fireworks for today after the Dolphins play the Titans and beat them in Tennessee.
I do hope the team is focused and not reeling from New Year's festivities. LOL
The game with the Titans (a good team) is surely going to be a test for our offensive and defense, in fact every face

Watching the game was disrupted when I learned that an old friend passed away. When we were in our teens we built and jointly owned a 57 Chevy Wagon race car that saw strip time. We did that weekly for a couple of years. We did many auto related things together including cruising the beach for girls and dating the same girls we knew. Only memories now, but good ones. Very sad to lose a friendship

It's my understanding that Ian Book (from Notre Dame) will be starting his first NFL game tonight for the Saints. They guy is mobil but who knows if the Saints will allow him to move out of the pocket. If he does it will be interesting for the D. If he stays in the pocket, expect quick slants and the use of the TE to move the ball. The guy has a decent arm and is very smart.

Tua, despite a victory was not sharp. He did make two bad decisions that resulted in interceptions. The throw to #84...the CB saw it coming and #84 kind of waited for the ball to reach him--not by much, but enough for an interception and a catch up TD and extra point.
Zach Wilson, as I see it, has potential. However, he is being overwhelmed by and under achieving offensive line. (We know wha

Kind of a goofy game going on.
The Jets have the Dolphins D a little flat footed. Gadget plays tend to do that. I want to see more of Duke Johnson, Williams, Gesicki and Parker. Since, the Jets are doing a little gadget stuff, the Dolphins need to do something along those lines too just to confuse them a bit.
Half time.
Go Dolphins!!!

Nice drive for 6. Parker's catch set it up for Johnson's TD run.
10-7 now. Things appear to be settling down for the Dolphins.

Waddle makes Tua. Without Waddle...big trouble. Weak arm showing again. We need to get Isiah Ford in the game...on short passes.

We are at home. This is a game we should win. Hard to positively know who is playing and who is out tomorrow.
With the "bye" we had plenty of time to perfect game strategy, so, I am hoping we "throttle" the Jets.
Go DOLPHINS!!

TC--don't let that minor league commentator upset you. No one thinks he's a good commentator let alone an expert on QB play. (Severe injury curtailed his QB career in the pros and one can only speculate if he could have been a franchise QB, if the injury to his spleen had not occurred.)
By making comments about Tua all he has done is to focus attention, negative attention, on himself.

The Patriots handed off to running backs that kept coming and coming. Their running was a punishing effort. This reminded me of the Czonka days, with Kiick and Morris.
The Patriots won by intimidating the D-line of the Bills. The Bills took a pounding...a relentless pounding. Kudos to the Patriots for finding the right RBs to do that and for an O-line that run blocked with precision.

Okay...no dominating for sure. We are playing too conservatively and I sense Tua is relying solely on his buddy Waddle. He needs to have a throw and catch with others....get others involved to open the play up. 4th Qt now.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Nothing close to domination. LOL It has been a slow, deliberate, conservative game play from the Dolphins. Waddle keeps momentum going.
Hollins getting free in the end zone for 6 and point after makes it 10-3 at the half.
After watching college games yesterday with plenty of scoring...this game is very, very quiet.
Looking for domination in the 2nd half....LOL

Giants come to town to face the Dolphins. This is a game the Dolphins can win (maybe dominate).
The team is coming together and Tua will have Devante Parker as a third or fourth target. Smythe was targeted often last Sunday and did quite well. He may be used again to complement Waddle and Gesicki. Balance on offense is still needed to make it all work. We need to see more of the running game
