I don't get it. Why would people be comfortable taking him with a later 1st than the 5th pick? Does it mitigate the risk? If you're sold on him you get him. With the number of picks we have there's very little risk.

We have 3 first round picks and 5 of the first 60 picks. If his meds check out you take him at 5. If he flames out we still have 2 more firsts and seconds to build the roster. This guy won't make it out of the top 10. At some point you take a chance instead of making excuses because if we pass and he flourishes elsewhere, well, you get the picture. He was projected at the #1 overall pick

We haven't been able to draft and develop an olineman in a long time unless drafted in the first round. We need to pay for 2 stud olineman imo and draft one in the first.

Replacing O'Shea with Chan Gailey is puzzling and makes me rethink all the praise I gave Flores throughout the year.

I was at the game with my son. On paper the Bengals have much more talent, but they also have Zach Taylor as their coach and I think a lot more castoffs from Philbin's staff. Coaching matters. Our practice squad plays hard for flores and have bought in. The halftime celebration honoring the best team in the NFL's fist 100 years was. freaking. awesome! Full disclosure...I had tears in m

The way this staff has developed gesicki and parker I'll wait and see with Rosen. The guy was supposed to sit his rookie year and got thrown to the wolves. Rogers sat 3 years, mahomes 1. I'll trust the staff in their development of Rosen. That said, if they ID a QB they have to have then they have the ammo to do it. The Texans ID'ed Watson and the Chiefs Mahomes. They did what they ne

Armando Salguero started the Tank for Tua narrative and our lazy national media picked it up.

I don't wish injury on any player but glad it happened now rather than in our first preseason game next year. Good luck, kid. His work ethic will land him on an NFL roster.

With the draft picks we've accumulated we're still in a position to get whichever QB we want....unless the bengals get the first overall pick. Even then, the consolation prize will be fine after watching the LSU/Alabama game.

Couldn't agree more. The next defender he makes miss will be his first. I want to see more laird and gaskins.

We actually have a staff that's developing players. gase kept gesicki in to block and didn't like parker. In short, gase and his high school staff were idiots. I don't consider this a lost season. We're finding out who is going to be a part of the future and we're also finding out that this staff has done a great job getting a bunch of scrubs to buy in and play disciplined ball. I thi

105. Re: Drake
Salguero wrote an article stating both staffs didn't like his practice habits. He showed flashes but at some point you need to be a professional and earn it. Best of luck but I really don't think we're going to miss him the way Walton has been playing.

106. Re: 0-16?
we get it, sam. Nowhere did treasure say trade the picks for a bunch of late round picks. But don't let that stop your repetitive nonsense. The pats just traded a 2nd for Sanu. You know why? They accumulate picks by trading back in the draft. If the houston first is in the mid 20s I'd put a 50/50 chance on us turning that into another 2021 1st and an additional 2020 2nd and 4th.

No. Tua isn't the be all end all prospect and got hurt again. He lights up the lesser competition and struggles when they actually play a good team. I'd take Joe Burrow or Justin Herbert before Tua. I hope the Bengals get the first overall pick and take Tua.

Kilgore needs to take his time to completely heal because Boehm looked much better calling the protections.

Just and FYI, neither flores nor any of the players are tanking. That's a narrative started by armando salguero that went national. If for one second you think Flores is making decisions with tanking in mind you really don't know much about sports. So who are these "young up and coming" gms?

Charles harris is a bust. That was a bad pick. I don't know what Grier will do. I can only hope adding Marvin Allan and Reggie McKenzie will be an upgrade to Mike Tannenbaum. I think the first draft you can truly grade Grier is this past draft. He ran the show. I can't believe for a second that Tannenbaum and Gase weren't involved in the past drafts.

5 games into a total rebuild and you're declaring a guy a bust. That's nice. We're playing with roster full of backups. It's an evaluation year and they've said as much. There's maybe 5-6 starters out possibly some depth for next year. Aside from Howard, most of the cbs will be gone next year or primarily special teamers. If you're expecting aaron donald results playing next to hot garb

They do, Sam. I was watching the redzone channel yesterday and it seemed like every game they showed, a flag was thrown every other play. These games are getting harder and harder to watch.

Wait until Tua plays some real competition. His game declines when his WRs aren't open by 10 yards. If they don't win it all this year he may just stick around another year. That's paying dividends for Herbert right now.

Don't forget that Grier brought in Marvin Allen who helped shape the current Chiefs roster as his assistant GM and Reggie McKenzie. He was the personnel man of the year in 2016 and is our director of scouting now. Grier is an easy target these days but I will give him credit for surrounding himself with experience in his first GM gig.

I couldn't have said it better, cap. I look for positives each week and I saw a D that competed and played well the first half. They got worn down in the heat. Saw a few clean pockets in the first half but we couldn't do anything with it. This is long overdue and will be painful. The flip side is we could have spent 20mm on Teddy Bridgewater and still been up against the cap doing wh

The D actually competed well until they were worn down. That was a positive. The oline gave Fitz a clean pocket in the first half. That was a positive. The Pats running up was a positive because now Flores is justified going for Brady's knee in the rematch.

This says more about Minkah than the organization. When talking about the pats d yesterday, the announcers said they love it because they learn multiple positions and can change schemes at any time. It keeps them focused and engaged. Minkah says it's too hard and he's playing for a 2nd contract. If they can get a 1st and another player? Do it. He's a distraction. Every question is about

This is the new age modern athlete. If it's too hard, cry and have your mommy take to twitter until you get your way. Minkah got benched week 1 because he was horrible and now is blaming the scheme.
