After watching the preseason games, I am off the Hogan bandwagon and came away impressed with Matthews. At this point, I am of the opinion that we might as well keep 3 rookie receivers and let them and Tannehill grow together. If, at the end of the season, we don't see improvement, then we know we have some draft picks we can use. What I don't want to do is sign a worthless veteran who has r

Bob, I know this. If I were traded, I would like to know the truth as to why. Not knowing why would eat me up and I would have resentment if you fed me some standard line. I believe in the adage, "Say what you mean and mean what you say." As a mature adult, I can handle constructive criticism and I look at it as an opportunity to learn. Therefore, I would have appreciated the in

Jim, It seems we are insync right now. My post on Jared Odrick, in a roundabout way, was intended to send the same message. We posted them at the exact same time.

I noticed on "Hard knocks" that Jared Odrick was addressing the team before the game. I really liked that and thought he would make a much better leader than Dansby. He seems to be an exemplary model for the type of player Philbin and Ireland want on this team. He is, first off, very talented, strong, athletic and a football player. However, he also has great character, intelligence

I don't have the time to read what everyone else wrote so sorry if I repeat something another said. I didn't interpret what Ireland said as they were cutting him because they were completely unhappy with his performance. I felt that Ireland cared enough about the kid to let him know there were things that, if he wished to be more successful in Indy, he needed to do there. By letting him kno

I see a guy that has matured and knows what is at stake. With his newfound dedication, I think he is going to be a good player for us.

Certain players don't like it because they are fearing what might happen to them if they don't fall in line too. It is Philbin's way or the highway.

Personally, I came away very impressed with Ireland and Philbin. From decisions on Marshall to Davis they have consistently revealed large cajones. I didn't want to loose Davis, but considering his issues and the value we received, it was a good trade.

Fasano is better and he would get in the way of the development of Clay and Egnew. Remember that we are rebuilding. No thanks.

That is all part of the fun. It is because I am a big boy that I can't resist. As a little boy, I didn't care about politics. At least, I am not ever mean spirited about it. You have to admit the Chad Johnson liberal-like name change was funny.

I whole-heartedly agree. The Dolphins are essentially part of our identity. It has to happen, though, in your youth as you create that identity. When I was a kid, I remember watching games and thinking about what will happen at the school bus stop the next morning. If the Dolphins would win, I would have bragging rights. A win gave me the ability to rub it into my friends. However, if th

I know it sucks to have to suffer through another loosing season, but if I am the coach, I would sure as hell start rebuilding.

Bob, I remember our correspondences regarding politics and you mentioning that party. You probably recall that I find it ridiculous that one's stance on abortion, the death penalty, gay mariage etc. are so important to people when voting for a president. Throw everything else out the window, but economic policy and views on foreign affairs. I consider myself a libertarian because I am pretty l

I have liked what we have done over the last 3 years. This last draft I think will prove great. I don't see Ireland as incompetent. With Philbin, Sherman and Coyle at his side, I think things will get even better.

Yes, but I was fearful of a long term injury. That would have changed a lot regarding the future too.

Would somebody please call Jake Long? The suspense is killing me. Tomorrow on "Hard Knocks" it will end with the injury, the evaluation and Jake Long walking into the training room. It will be a freakin cliffhanger episode.

88. Re: TE?
Maybe the Jets will cut Tebow and we can sign him as a TE. He can't throw, but can he catch and block? For the record, I don't think they will cut him, but they ought to or play him at TE because he is the worst quarterback I have ever seen. Sanchez isn't too good either.

they hired Tony Sparano as their OC and signing Tim Tebow. Immediately, I knew both were a huge mistake and celebrated the moves. Some of you guys see us as a crumbling franchise, but I see us as successfully rebuilding. We are missing some pieces, but we have a young group and a stock pile of draft picks. The Jets have less of everything. I like where the Dolphins and the Jets are headed
