Re: So- Now I know why

I whole-heartedly agree. The Dolphins are essentially part of our identity. It has to happen, though, in your youth as you create that identity.
When I was a kid, I remember watching games and thinking about what will happen at the school bus stop the next morning. If the Dolphins would win, I would have bragging rights. A win gave me the ability to rub it into my friends. However, if they lost, I had to be ready to be humbled and take the digging. At that point, I would explain to my peers, "That's okay, I really don't care. It's just a game." But the truth really was that I was eaten up inside and licking my wounds.
Fortunately, hope springs eternal, which is why by Wednesday, I would look forward to Sunday so I could feel that rollercoaster of emotions all over again. And if I came to a point in the season where I realized it is a lost cause, it was at that point I started looking forward to winning in the draft.
