The problem with our WR's is that we haven't had a starting QB that can throw an accurate deep ball since Marino. I like Chad Pennington; but, even on his long balls, they float, the WR has to come back, fight, etc. If our QB hits Ginn deep streaking down the sideline....Ginn becomes an elite WR...by virtue of the QB's throw. The coverage changes which opens things up for the other WR's a

yes, we drafted him and Wanny cut him....and then he started for several teams winning SB rings with the Pats and the Giants. I remember his claim to fame was that he castrated sheep with his teeth. I have a feeling he is losing something if he can't stay as depth for the Seahawks. Unless he refused to sign for the veteran minimum. I wouldn't be sad if we signed him. he is versatile and

I was impressed with the poise and control White showed; not to mention his zip. He ain't there yet; but, I liked what I saw. I think we will see him in a game sooner than Henne.

The depth chart this week is meaningless for fans. It is being used as a carrot for some and a whip for others. Parcells & Sparano want competition at key positions. Some guys think they have the job lined up so they drop them on the chart to see if they can give more. Other guys are busting their butts and making plays and getting rewarded, even if only temporarily. The Depth Chart

With the new changes on kick-offs, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bess get another shot at it. Elusiveness will be more important than it used to be. with the wedge being split up, there will be new lanes, and more importantly more cutback lanes.

At 36 he needs to accept a contract that offers him a chance to compete for the starting job, with the more likely role of back-up. He was healthy all last year, so he certainly will have something left in the tank; and , he will feel he has something to prove. sign him.

True, but we spent the money on Wilford already. Keeping Wilford will cost us $3 million. Cutting him would cost us $4.5 million. So our WR locks are Ginn, Bess and Camarillo. I would think it is safe to say Turner is a lock. Wilford will be our 6th WR/3rd TE. That means Brandon London has to beat out Brian Hartline as the ST/5th WR. If you were Matt Jones would you sign on the

I liked him in the draft. If they sign him i won't be sad; but, we have 3 WR's on the team that are 6'4" or taller. Jones is not a #1 WR and neither will Wilford, London or Turner be. So the question is....how much of an upgrade is he? How much is that worth/ and does it make sense to take snaps away from Turner? Ginn is a lock. sounds like Camarillo is back, Bess is a lock. Turner

We made the play-offs with connsistently improved play in all phases of the game. Each part got better as the year progressed. As you pointed out; we have upgrades in many areas, so it is reasonable to expect more improvement; even if there is a short adjustment. Pats- Brady is back; however, Moss is now 32 yrs old and will start to lose a step and take longer to recover; their OL is old

I don't think we are 'that' close to making a strong run, so bringin in an older vet just takes snaps away from young guys. I think our Front Office is committed to developing the guys on the roster, or waiting until next year.

Agreed. In addition we have enough new prospects to provide a tall possession WR. In the short term Ginn is going to face double teams and lock up with their #1 CB; but, as a big tall WR emerges to move chains on 3rd down, we are going to see teams risk 'man' coverage on Ginn on 3rd and medium situations which could provide some of those big plays!

Agreed, not sure how these moves are worse than Wayne, Blockbuster and questionable Waste management wealth? These owners will bring new fans to the team; we already have corporate suits buying ticks and leaving the game before half...so how bad can these new fans be? Maybe Ross is lining up 8 minority music act owners and we will have pre-game, half-time, and post-game music acts? the r

You played a game with a crushed C5?!! Thank God yet? Luck doesn't even come close to covering it. Wow! I've had players lose feeling and mobility from compression of vertabrae. My late father-in-law could barely walk with after a fracture. You were blessed my friend. Sorry about the sermon. First thing that came to mind.

#1) Anyone with 4 kids from 4 women in 4 states is a scumbag. BUT, in addition to that; he demonstrates either: poor decision making, stupidity, or great degree of self-centred living. do we need that to improve our team? #2) While our Wr's weren't 'awesome'last season, they were in the top half of the league. And that with a QB that doesn't normally throw many long TD strikes, and with a '

So were video games in the 70's. I agree that it has limited appeal, but, really...why do we sign on to this forum every day for 13 years? Drew Rosenhaus uses twitter to generate chatter about his clients. twitter can be dangerous though. Some guy 'tweeted' something to the effect of " on vacation with the whole family"...which one of his 'followers' read as...." my

JT could also play TE in a pinch, in the red zone anyway. Could you imagine a red-zone formation with Turner, London, Wilford ( I know he'll likely get cut...just work with me), and JT? That's 6'5", 6'4", 6' 4", and 6'5". What team could cover that? line up two on each side and look for the shortest defender.

What a MORON!!! this isn't some high school league where you can 'get in their heads'. NFL teams have pschologist, advisors, personality 'managers'. Crowder is going to be motivated to play lights out, and the team will ensure he isn't 'too tight'. What is Ryan the Head Coach going to do? tell his OC to call some great plays designed to expose Crowder? really? What if the blows up? Crow

It is true that teams 'learned' to defend the Wildcat to this extent: They sold-out on plugging those running lanes and covered the 'trick' pass ( flea flicker); they did leave plenty of open WR's because they knew Ronnie brown would sooner grind out 3 yards then try a challenging throw. The first time they line up with Pat white in the Wildcat, they need to be ready to take what the D give

No I'm not kidding. Notice i didn't say "he would have been good" I said "who knows how it would have turned out. And that comment was in the context of comparing Cam's 1 year to Wanny's 5. No comparison. Wanny inherited an 11-5 team with a dominant D Cam inherited a Cap strapped, team, void of any young impact players ( thanks to Wanny & Saban) and some old vet

I agree about the Ginn highlights. When we drafted him and I saw those hghlights...I thought...wow!! In retrospect, when i re-examine the Ginn highlights....we is a great return guy, and turning hitch passes into big plays, or reverses. but I haven't seen as much 'wr' footage that impresses me. That said, he is improving. This year he could hit 1,000 yds.

Gotta agree. Wanny still makes me want to puke. 1) Screwed over Marino. 2) Was in love with Jay Fiedler to the point that he passed up on Drew Brees, siging a young Trent Green. ARGH!!!! I can't do this! Just remembering a few F---ups and I am getting angry. Cam Cameron? who knows how it would have turned out. he was inexperienced and had a crappy team. Wanny screwed us for a lo

Camarillo starts on the PUP. We carry 6 until it looks like he is ready to play and then try to sneak 1 onto the practice squad. Bess, Ginn, & Turner are locks. London, Hartline & Wilford fight are the most logical to make it. If one of the small guys shows some good hands and crisp breaks, then they will have to choose between London and Wilford. London is inexperienced

he has not played LB in a 3-4 scheme. he did play LB in college, but in the CFL he never dropped into coverage, he was a traditional end.

JT has done it before, and as was said, this coaching staff will get creative. My thought is, if you have a goal line situation and you put those 5 as WR's, there isn't a team in the NFL with 3 guys who can cover 6'4". There will be 2 guys covered by LB's or by short DB's. If they go short DB....uh...there's the target. If they slide bigger LB's outside and fill the middle with DB's..

I guess I didn't catch you seperating Sparano from the Trifecta. fair enough. Parcells and ireland get the blame then. But I still say he was far from a stiff. He is a situational player. Chain movers typicall have high 1st down percentages but low over-all numbers. And that's who Wilford is.

sorry if this was covered in one of the 100 posts on the other thread but.... So essentially we lent JT to the Redskins for 1 year which saw them assume JT's $8 million salary in exchange for Pat White. And now we get to sign him for $1.5 million. What must the Redskins fans be thinking? HOLY CRAP!!! Parcells just bent the Redskins over and....well you know!

Agreed, don't get me wrong. I love Sparano and Parcells. they are doing great things for us. BUT...as a 'realist' I try to keep track of the good and the bad. The Wilford thing so far is the only 'negative' thing I am attributing to Sparano. It is unfair to pin it all on Wilford. The guy is who he is, and has value to someone. If the Trifecta want to pass on him...fine...but let's not pre

Hey, I can see sitting a guy for not being a practice warrior when he is a rookie or a guy on the roster you inherited; but, when that is the 'KNOWN HISTORY" of a guy YOU signed...it is on YOU! plain and simple. And if he WAS a 'stiff' as you've said.....how can you not blame them for signing a stiff to such big contract? It can't be both ways. Congrats to Sparano for signing a stif
