But losing him and the chemistry he had with the QB is a setback for Tannehill. I would rather re-sig

Not a chance. Not with the red flag on his migraine issues, and his repeated issues for confrontations with coaches. Pretty safe to assume that the latter means he is of no interest to Philbin.

And it's a comparison to Nelson's skill set, not to how pro ready Nelson was coming out of college. People may not be crazy about Allen because he doesn't come from a flashy program and isn't a

I would say he has regressed since 2010. After he was benched for Jason Allen, he rallied back and played really well, although he dropped a boatload of INTs. The same can't be said for the last two years, when

Some of the reports I have read say that Keenan Allen is an ideal fit in a WCO. I think he will be one to pay attention to at he combine. If you look at Green Bay's history with drafting WRs while Philbin was there, route running, hands, and run after catch ability all seemed to be more important than size or elite speed.

I disagree about needing a 4th RB. If you go back to what Sherman says he really envisions for this offense is 90 plays per game, with about a 50/50 run/pass split. To pull that off, you need 3 RBs to contribute every game. And in that case, you have to carry 4 RBs for depth. People shouldn't sleep on Jonas Gray. He could be a sleeper. And for a veteran pickup, because I would not count on

Eesti is right. Hartline is a very good #2. That said, his skills don't make him a great red zone threat. He's not real physical, and he does not get much separation on the short quick routes. Throw in that with our current weapons, he draws extra attention in the red zone, and it's going to be difficult for him until he gets a different supporting cast. If Hartline did what he did this year in o

Over that time, Dexter McCluster or Steve Breaston served as the primary slot WR. PFF doesn't break down his snaps on the outside by X or Z, but from anecdotal stuff from google, it seems like he has played plenty

Victor Cruz ran 70% of his routes from the slot WR position. We need a Split End (X) WR more than anything else, with Hartline moving back to Flanker (Z). Can Cruz carry that load? I don't know, because he hasn't been asked to fill that role so far.

230. Re: Wait
So, that's another article about Wallace from before the 2012 season, when he was actually forced to run more of the shorter routes. Here's the main thing I can't get by with Wallace. Assuming that he will be the most sought after WR on the market, why would he pick Miami? There is no reason for him to do so, unless we significantly overpay him compared to what other teams are offering. He's n

Philbin would never even consider adding that kind of attitude to the locker room.

It all depends on what happens in free agency. I think we will add a WR and a pass rushing DE like Michael Bennett or Michael Johnson. That would negate the need to go WR or DE in the first two rounds.

We can find an undrafted guy who can do better than that. A guy who averages less than 9 yards per catch doesn't help us address any of our weaknesses.
