This really hurts. So many good memories of him playing and announcing. He will be missed for sure. BTW I doubt if he was 72. I'm 65 and I don't think he was much old than me. God speed to his family.

Colorado has a "Make my Day" law that allows a home owner to shoot to kill if an intruder enters or attempts to enter their home. This would apply.

Funny how some here have the guy a murder without knowing any more than this article. Easy for me to picture. Goes to his aunts house and finds this guy drunk. An altercation starts and fighting/wrestling begins. A gun shows up and bang. Maybe he pulled the trigger during the tussle or maybe he took the gun and fired while pulling away. Who cares which? Either way it is not murder. None of u

fiedlerhater. Glad to see someone else here understands what an owner goes through. However, hard to compare the NFL to the real world. Tough to have any sympathy for either side. I do think the owners are looking toward the future and what the game needs in the way of expenses and growth. So the money has to be there. Funny how so many look at only the amount of investment or amount of prof

Typical Union garb. Their biggest problem is the hold people back. I'm sure they have their reason to be against this, but these are athletes that want to win and that takes putting themselves in a position to win. That is why they want and need this practice. I hope they tell the union to get out of the way.

ChyrenB I did not miss the point. I know exactly what he is talking about. My point is that exposing butt flesh or underwear in a private place, or public for that matter, is going to far. A dress code in a private place can be enforced. In a public place it is debatable. Is it "indecent exposure?" In today's society probably not. Back in the day of the Hippy, it was women going w

*if Dez's friends...and the plumber....didn't expose their actual butt cracks, but instead exposed their Boxers/BVDs/Man-kini-thongs, the same concept applies...is a dress code enforceable on private property? Answer? Yes.

Straggly hair, Pierced eyebrows, tongs and what-not, tattoos all over, crazy looking close, and just plan dirt I might not like but I leave it alone. It's for them and I just don't care. But waring ones pants down past their ass and exposing their crack is going to far and that is just plane fact. Dez is an ass hole to associate with them but no doubt he thinks it's cool. I figure about anothe

Just talked to my Son. He reads everything imaginable about football and baseball. Anyway, he said that he read this is a couple of articles but could not remember where. Not from the players. Probably some dumb sports writer. I still say, put skirts on them and play touch.

It would be interesting to see some stats on how many injuries occur on kick offs and punt returns. Especially head injuries. Also, how many quarterback head injuries are caused by helmet contact when tackled in the back field. I'll bet there are very few. Most head injuries of QBs are cause by contact with the ground. Just my opinion. It would also be interesting to know how many head inju

Three or four years from now we won't even recognize this game. There is talk about taking helmets off so the head can't be used for contact. I don't have a source for that as it is info from my Son. Anyway, the game will be changing and I think that sucks. There will be no way to compare the game over the years.

In my opinion the NFL has changed rules every year for several decades. I'm really sick of the NFL and if not for the Dolphins probably would not watch. Didn't they change that rule before by moving the ball back to the 30 so there would be more run backs? Now they want to move it back to the 35. What's the point? Are they afraid the poor babies will get hurt? Maybe they should all ware dres

Good post. The biggest disappointment of last season was the way Sparano and others actually depleted an up and coming OL. They were at best mediocre. We need to upgrade the QB position, but I still think the OL should come first unless we just get plane lucky at 15. A new CBA could change everything as free agency will be going wild.

Prices will stay the same as long as there are people willing to buy tickets and stadiums are full. That is not the case in Miami, but it sure is in Denver. The Broncos sell out every year with season tickets. If I wanted to buy a season ticket I would go on a waiting list that would take years and then get a lousy seat. So why should they lower prices? It sucks but it ain't happening. It's a

"Leon- there is some conflict, where as Govt does issues government contracts to private companies" True as this is it is very easy to track and make public. Not as big a conflict and might not ever be a conflict as government contracts are bid on under government rules that include the Bacon act. Bacon Act are wages based on union contracts. This levels the playing field for bidders.

Biggest problem with Public Unions is a huge conflict of interest. We all know that unions donate huge sums of money to Democrats. I really don't care about that except that the state and local politicians are the ones that are approving the public contracts. Well if that is not a conflict I don't know what is. Now I know that the argument is that big business donates to the Republicans. Howeve

This whole Decertification thing is nothing but a sham. It's obvious to all. However, how a judge rules is up for grabs. In the real world, which this is not, the two leverages that can put pressure on negotiations are strike, and lockout. Players don't want to strike so they pull this sham instead. It's all bull.
