Wow, big trade! I actually think they keep Ginn and put him as the #2. I think you will see someone like Camarillo traded to thin out the WR corps a little. We might get a 6th for him from a WR starved team.
Biggest thing now is I think you will see us trade down in the 1st to try to recoup a 2nd round pick
Marshall is flying to Miami. He will have to pass a physical. Then he will Sign a new deal making him the highest paid WR (or close to it) in league history and then its official
basically if the deal is a 2 this yr and next, it equates to a 2d and 3d this year, it's way better than the cowboys got ripped off for roy williams, but still a lot
however this move makes us much better this year, no way a 2d a 3d would have done the same
if we can trade down a few spots and get a 2d or 3d back, we're in business!!

Very interesting! Significantly more receptions, a few more yards, but less than half the TD's.
Why? Offensive scheme? QB? DB's? Rice better in the open field?
This is crazy. I'm kind of in shock in right now that we actually made this move. I love it! We can cross WR off our list, but Sparano and Parcells can't ever open their mouths about "quality character" guys anymore.
He's going to make our passing game so much more physical. We finally have a 6'4 receiver!!! I can't wait to see how much better Henne will look with a target like this.
As for the #12 overall, EARL THOMAS! Let's get another playmaker, but on the other side of the ball. After watching last year and what hurt us more between having a weakness at NT and a weakness at FS, I have to say that a ballhawking FS like Thomas would do more to make our defense better than fixing the NT situation right now. Every game we lost, we lost because passes were flying over Gibril Wilson's head. We fix that, and we win 4 more games at least.
time for a thread merge!
if it's a 2 and less than a 2 next year I like it. 2 twos is a lot for a WR given his baggage and what other wrs usually go for
I agree Mike I think Nolan had a lot to do with this. I've never seen a report that any of the Trifecta even met with him before the deal so I assume Nolan's first hand report carried a lot of weight.
On another note, Armando stated that the deal is for 2 twos, with the 2011 pick def a 2. I had heard that pick was conditional. Not a huge deal but I think that pick should have been a 3d but conditional to a 2d depending on production and him staying out of trouble. He is just one "strike" from a 1 year suspension--and I put strike in quotes because apparenlty his issue is he likes to smack women around. We've had a bad history with people like that--L Phillips, C Collins. He better keep off SoBe and the booze while he's down here.
I'm not crazy about giving up two 2nd round picks for this guy. And with all those 2nd's up in NE you have to wonder WHY didn't they get this kid?
Moss = OLD
Welker = Injury
I think they like bargains and this deal is NOT a bargain. A single 2nd round pick would have been good value for us. But anyway, lets hope he lives up to the hype. I was on board for drafting Dez Bryant.
