We've NEVER had a WR with those physical characteristics (size/speed). Perhaps Paul Warfield is the closest if you compare him to the WRs of his day.

I watched the first vid. I liked the fact that he drives after first contact and usually requires more than one defender to bring him down.

Peter King said yesterday from people has has talked too in Miami that the wildcat is all but dead. It died with Pat White and his inability to expand/improve the wildcat and take it to the next level. King said you will see it now and then but not like in the past as it was a key part of Miami's offense.

he said when you have a guy like Marshall, you don't run a wildcat and take him esentially out of plays cause he can't even be used as a decoy, everyone knows its a run play. Plus King said Henne is almost to the point where you want him under center at all times

What also died is Pat White's value on this team. I have trouble believing he'll beat out Bess, Camarillo, Ginn, or Hartline. He's never returned punts or kicks. So, it's too bad we wasted our 2nd rounder. Hopefully some other team will be willing to take a chance on him and offer us something in a trade that we can use.

Eh, I think Pat White's career ended with that hit he took at the end of the year.

He'll play in the NFL again, but not in a Dolphin uniform...unless he goes to baseball drinking smiley

He has a better shot at FS right now...jk

Although Parcels has done it before with Scott Frost. It will never happen.

He has no place on the team right now. You are correct. No way he beats out Cam or Bess.

NOT in a Dolphin uniform. He'll be gone, but some other team will give him a chance. It doesn't mean he'll be successful. As for baseball, I was referring to his twitter about moving to WR.

He looks like a man playing amongst boys.

I sure hope Nolan is right about Marshall's character. If he's really a team player, then we'll all look back on this deal and say it was a huge bargain.

We should keep White on the team and allow him to learn from Pennington, Thigpen and Henne. He has value as a #3 quarterback because Pennington won't be around forever and who knows eventually he may be good enough to unseat Thigpen as the #2. Unil then he can be listed as at whatever position and play on special teams.

Not quite...but with quality development by Henne and two or three key additions (upgrades) we could have...

As it is I think we will be somewhere around 7-10.

our offense is much better. It's good. But a year from now we will be talking about adding a QUALITY #2 WR to make that next jump to being a Super Bowl caliber team.

A year from now Hartline will be talked about as a great #2 WR. Better than what Indy, NO or SD has at #2.

Eddie Royal had 980 yards as a rookie playing opposite Marshall. I think Hartline is better than him.

While I agree with your points...and think the Phins should agree with you...

I think Henning will be tempted to use Marshalls ability to get open and come down with jump balls to turn the Wildcat into a balanced offence.

If White of Brown can complete a pass to Marshall ( and Marshall gets crazy YAC) they will be forced to keep both safeties back and then the Wildcat is back to running 8 against 7.

So don't be surprised if they try.

Curious how you go 7-10? grinning smiley (unless you meant we would make the playoffs with a 7-9 record)

I was commenting on Mia1's comment about us having the best offense in the league by adding Marshall and if we want to have that it'll still take two or three more key additions.

The offense we have right now with Marshall I think is more likely 7-10 tops league wide.
