It amazes me that some players think their the best when they clearly can't beat the other QB on the team AKA Nick Foles. Vick saying he wants too start, and still not being signed tells me teams think he can't play anymore. I don't understand the thinking of some pampered players. It's like get a dose of reality will you.

I would rather have Vick as back up then Matt Moore... If Geno Smith falls apart, Vick isn't a bad back up plan, compared to what options were out there for the jets.. Vick can still win you games with a good defense behind him...
Nick Foles, the guy who took his job, was the number 1 rated QB in the NFL last year... So Foles not only outplayed Vick he outplayed everyone in the NFL in QBR...

Huge mistake by NY IMO, Vick is a polarizing person, the first INT by Geno and the Jets fan base as well as the NY media will be screaming for Vick (can you say "instant QB controversy".......unless they've seen enough of Geno already to know he's not the guy. Either way it's bad news for the Jets......which is always good news to me
Yeah, definitely QB controversy material. But Vick got a lot of praise for being a good team mate and locker room guy even when he got benched... So I don't think it will be on him, but more the NY fan base and media will be ready to turn on Geno quick, which isn't easy for a young developing QB...
But if Geno does suck, Vick is a good option for them, so I don't think it is all that bad news for the Jets in that case...

Finshady- Amazing as it might be to you, last time I checked he has certainly won more games then he lost..

You guys don't get it legs and and QB don't go together. They can work some what if you can throw on the run like Kapernick or Wilson. Vick can't thrown on the run anymore. I still can't believe we lost too the Jets with Smith as their QB sorry really.

BNF, the Los Angeles Times and myself have been battling each other in editorials (by them) and "Letters to the Editor" ( by me) over the death penalty, obviously with me in favor of putting our fellow man to death.
As far as I am concerned, when ranking the nobility of animal life on this planet, dogs are at the top of the list and I'm not quite sure where humans fit on the list afterwards.
Now that he is not a Jet anymore , I gotta say Mark Sanchez handled things pretty well season after season of disappoints , failures, and becoming the poster buy for the term" Butt Fumble". Gonna miss him. Does Rex Ryan get a New ink over? LOL......

CB, puh-leese post that letter to the editor on here. I can only imagine what your letters to the LA Times say based on what you post on the phins message board
and I agree I like my dog better than 99% of humans I encounter, by a wide margin

I'm an animal lover as well. BUT it takes a special kind of lowlife to actually hold a dog underwater as it drowns and begs for life. Some of the things Vick did were obscenely sick to even those who don't love animals. You don't do 2 yrs in prison and come back a changed man after that. He learned to say the right things and found new people to hang with , but he is and will always BE a dog torturer and murderer. Perfect for the Jets and Rex Ryan. Who will always be a fat undisciplined POS who got lap band surgery because he can't close his mouth. Shortcut man to the max. I look forward to watching them fail yet again.
practically every serial killer got their start torturing animals. it takes a special kind of sociopath to do that and I don't give a f#ck about anyone who says "he paid his dues," etc, no one should ever forgive what he did or think he's a changed person. he is utter scum. a perfect fit for the jets!!

Right on spot, Treasure. And if someone can find it, review the film of the first time he was in the stands of a football stadium after he got out and look at the smug look on his face as if to say, "That's right. Nothing means anything to you fools except your Hero Worship."
No worship here. We condemn a man this past Summer for using the "N" word out of context in a private text. He might never play Pro ball again.
But starring down into the eyes of a helpless animal as you watch the life drain from it body as it suffocates under water , that's OK to comeback from and given a second chance to make Millions and be the leader of a NFL team?
Strange society we live in. The Press pretty much decides who lives and who dies. Quite scary actually.
