I'm giving it to the draft , its fun to see how everyone has turned around on the Phins since my last posting. All of a sudden everyone is on the Tannihill bandwagon..... Tanihill will be a great one. He will bring greatness back to this Organization after many Dark dark yrs. He might not be #13 stat wise but he will bring us the almighty Lombardy after 40 yrs wandering the desert.
For those that accused me of being Sarcastic , and repetitive I apoligize. I love my phins, I live them. My boys do the same. Sorry , but I won't relent. So if its an issue I'll be classy and just read.
You people NEED TO BELIEVE! You didn't hear a peep out of me for over 10 yrs. I've been reading here since 98'. Tanny is the real deal. Phins are back , even if I won't be.
Tannehill is going to be a lot better for several reasons.
1. Much more talent offensive weapons
2. A year and new linemen geared for zone blocking vs Parcells
3. Another year for Tanny to adjust to the speed of the NFL
Maybe not a lock yet, but I'm a lot more confident than what I've seen put on the roster in years.
I think that's the reason momentum is going Ireland's way on acquiring deals, other players see the potential for the fins too!

He is upset the dolphins are making such great signings in the offseason.
Looks like he cant be negative for a while so he decides to stay away and drown in his own misery.

Wish I had known.....I left because I couldn't deal with him, and others here were coming to his rescue. Thanks Truth! Looking forward to the draft!! I'm actually a defense fan (#54 is my all time Dolphin) and I am really concerned about our corners. We need Top options there , at least one to be successful .

A&O left because of that troll also.
Don't worry.
The first time Tannehill throws a pick in OTA's he'll be back to proclaim how much RT sucks and how he was a 2nd round pick.

I am glad you are back TCP, but I don't think everyone has turned around in their questions regarding RT.. As you said before, I hope RT is what you all think he is, but I still have many concerns and have hardly jumped on the bandwagon.. There just isnt much sense in arguing the same thing over and over while no football is being played...
IMO thinking RT will jump from 12 TD and 13 int's to 28TD's and 15 int's is what I would call overly optimistic and not the type of confidence I have in him...A more then double TD jump between his rookie and sophomore year seems a bit like blind optimism... I am just hoping he doesn't slump and the more weapons can help his confidence in terms of redzone football..The last game I watched RT start we got shutout 28-0 by the Pats... Did you guys watch the same last game I did?
WHile we added Wallace, Gibson and Keller, we lost Long, Bush and Fasano... 3 of our best ten players.. I am still in wait and see mode with all of it.. I am cautiously optimistic, but far from blind optimism..

You're probably right, but I hope not. I do find it funny that once the season is over he has nothing negative to say or any claims to make about how much this team is in the shitter and how bad Tannehill sucks blah blah blah. Hope that douche never comes back.

I'll just say he smells like salad dressing.......
TCP-
Our Oline has gotten worse not better at this point.. We lost our starting LT and one hell of blocking TE from the line.. Fasano had to protection block a lot last year because of weakness at the tackle position.. Any way you look at it Jake Long was our best tackle and we no longer have him..
Bush was a playmaker, a true playmaker, we no longer have him..
So while you say Tannehill had to bootleg his was around a beat up line, at this point I think he is going to get killed, if we don't solidify his protection, which we have not at this point... Also bootlegs and rolling out is not really a good thing to do.. Sure you can do it a couple times a game, but it cuts the field in half, you minimize where you can throw and make it easy on the opposing defense who only has to defend half the field...
I agree RT is smart and athletic, and that is where my optimism comes from..
I like that we signed some WR's to help out although i think we grossly overpaid for one of them.. So I am not sure about those cost implications towards our team long term and what implications that will have on our roster in other areas... We have done this game before, when we had a young Henne, traded for a top WR in Brandon Marshall.. And signed big money LB in Dansby... So lets see how this all works out...
Am I rooting for it to work, of course... Am I going to act like it already worked before anything has been accomplished on the football field in terms of wins and losses, no...

I am also concerned that we we "traded" roster spots of Fasano and Bush, who were both great pass protection blockers for Lamar Miller and Dustin Keller. Both of whom have serious questions about their blocking skills... Who exactly is going to protect RT so he has the time and comfort to let it rip.. While adding WR's is very important towards his development, so is his protection in the pocket... When you seem to be going forward with one area but backwards in another, I am not sure the impact on a young QB... I do know taking big hits isn't good for him or the Dolphins... Even if we get the tackle, we still have questions at pass protection from the TE and rb spot... Maybe it will not be important or maybe it will bite us in the rear...

No doubt I liked Fasano. But this Offseason isn't done yet. And I'm not broken up about losing Jake......even though I'm stuck with a $60 #77 Jersey I'll probably never wear again. He didn't play towards the end last year and when he did I would watch him telling Ryan Tannihill......."My Bad Bro, sorry, Over and over.
Our Oline is the same . I'm sure blocking Fullbacks/Tightends on on the list before the season is out. Reggie Bush wasn't worth a shit in a block scheme. And Yes Our Oline DID get better. How? We will have Multiple reciever sets stretching the feild instead on the onslaught of Blitz's Ryan was getting over and over by the end of last season.
I hope you are right about the oline Treasure, you are wrong about Reggie, he was a very smart player/good blocker at picking up the blitz.. Jake didnt have a great year last year, but I will bet you money he goes to the probowl next year and our LT will not... WHo knows,we will see, I hope they have that protection for RT sealed up... We need a strong draft at certain positions and everything could definitely look a lot better. I am judging the roster as it sits now..

Because I can not predict the future of our roster moves this offseason. Last year after we traded away our Pro-bowl WR, most would have thought we would have been serious about replacing that hole last draft or offseason... We didn't address it for over a year, we just left the hole at the position.. So yes all I can judge is the roster as it stands now...
Our losses
Bush, Long, Fasano, Sean Smith, Dansby, Burnett, Marlon Moore
I like the action at LB, but uncertain how it will play out, with pretty much a whole different LB core who have never played together. The offense moves are good from a receiving aspect, but questionable at this point from a protecting the QB aspect IMO...

All I'm saying is you have to be excited though! When I see people pretending to be Dolphins fans not at least excited It blows my cork. I too believe he was a Jets fan.
I am always excited about the Dolphins, every week I sit down and watch us play and think we can win, it doesn't matter who we play.... But as I've watched this roster churned for 8-9 years during off seasons, I have also learned to wait and see how the moves really play out... Once the Dolphins show that the moves they make actual lead to a consistent winning team, I will change my tune and have a little more faith based on the history of making the right moves....We don't really have that history, or positive track record so I find it hard to ignore that fact.. Our moves while drastic and all over the place over recent years, have not really lead to much improvement as far as win/loss records go from season to season. Yet every year, we all feel like this is the year we finally turn it around...
I bleed aqua and orange, probably more so then most of the guys in the organization from top to bottom... Every year I am with this team, yet all of these players, scouts, coaches, GM's and even owners come an go, but I will always be here with the Phins..

Last year we were picked by most to finish in last place in the AFC East. Things are a little different this year.
The Bills have no QB, one WR and no LB'ers and lost their best offensive lineman....no FA wants to go there.
The Jets are a mess but couldn't be much more of a circus than last year. Sparano is gone so Sanchez should be better. They still don't have many weapons on offense and their line is nowhere close to what it used to be. They have no guards and no LB'ers and are depending on Mike Goodson to be the starting RB.
The Pats are expecting Amendola to replace Welker and paid him Hartline money to try. He is now their best WR. I look for them to draft one high unless they try to snag Emmanuel Sanders from Pit who they can get for a 3rd round pick. They coul dget it back from Cleveland if they trade Mallett. They still have the TE's but can Gronk stay healthy? Hernandez is a bit overrated and drops a lot of balls. At some point the Pats are going to go down and I can't wait to see Belichick and Brady lose their cool when they do!
Bills and Jets trending down. NE stays even and is the team to beat and the Dolphins are trending up and trying to close the gap.

Not only that.....I think we had a heck of a year. We lost several games by just a score or less. We challenged every team except for that one game against the Titans. Even with the injuries. This year should be a huge step forward .I'm really looking forward to crushing the Jets and the Pats. I almost feel bad for Bills fans now.
We had a defense that could keep us in games.. If the defense improves, then we have something... Our points per game is going to need to go way up... But realistically we lost our 2 top scoring threats from last year.. Reggie Bush contributed 8 TD's last year and Fasano 5 TD's. The next closest guy had 4 Daniel Thomas. Nobody else had more then 2, with Hartline and Bess only scoring once each.. In perspective Bush and Fasano accounted for more then 40 percent of our TD's scored.. If RT can be protected, I know we will improve on the 3 TD's we got from our recieving score... I think obviously this team is going to look very different from how they looked last year, which makes me concerned and excited at the same time... If we fail to adequately address the holes at LT and CB, I will be more concerned then excited.
