That's not positive -- the Jets could wind up getting a better coach and GM!

Yeah, you know, I could not think of a worse fit for Tebow.
1) New Yorkers with that Christianity stuff, not a good fit
2) But the Sanchez haters grab on to him
means
3) There will be a disaster no matter how the season plays out.
I followed Mark Sanchez since he was here in California playing for USC.
The guy IS a franchise quarterback!
The difference is that, like all NFL fans today, If he or his team gets beaten by a score of 60-57, instead of putting the blame where it belongs, that is on the defense, the NFL Fan OF TODAY, will blame the quarterback for not putting 61 points on the board.

Then we'd better not use that first pick on a QB and get ourselves a pass rusher in the draft.
As a long time Crimson Tide fan I don't see anything positive for Miami concerning "Tim Freaking Tebow" going to the Jets as a "Red Zone" specialty player.
I would rather him have gone to Jacksonville or St. Louis. Not New York, unless of course he would have been the starter for the Jets.

I can just see Ole Ryan in the bathroom stall tugging away to pictures of feet and cursing like a sailor and taking the Lords name in vein. Tebow will just love that. But after last year I think Rex was really looking to change the culture of the Jets. He might just start hand holding and praying. Watch. Either way I don't see it being very effective over there. I lived in NYC for over 30 yrs. You can not change it overnight.

Thank you. I am glad you finally realized.
Despite all of Tebow's positive commentary about going to the Jets, I don't he's going to be comfortable there. The brash coach and the media attention, will really test this guy and the players around him. Sanchez will be upstaged by his mere persona. The cry will be for Tebow to start and for the excitement and winning to begin in NY. He will divide the team and Jets fans and it will not be pretty.
Contrary to what many of you might say to the contrary, Tebow IMO would have put pizazz back into our lifeless franchise. Garrard won't be able to do it.

I think pizazz is the last thing this franchise needs on the field. It needs to win and win consistently at a high level for the long term.
With all due respect for what Tebow has accomplished at the collegiate level, he just isn't the answer at this level.
Yes, I know he 's 9-7 but it's a really weak 9-7. He's the NFL equivalent of a baseball pitcher who killed it in the minors and then lucks into 15 wins his rookie year with a 5+ era.

I say why stop at Tebow, I think we should of signed Charlie Brown as our FG kicker and Lucy as the holder, NOW THAT WOULD BE PIZAZZ!....and about as effective in turning this franchise around.

Our defense embarrassed tebow until he put together a drive vs our prevent defense and we failed to cover the onside kick.

You guys make me laugh. This team doesn't. You bitched about Henne the robot...at least Tebow would have had something encouraging to utter about all the good guys working hard around him here. That would be uplifting for a lot of players. The issue is quite moot now that he's a Jet. He'll do it in NY/NJ and take over the QB position from Sanchez in short order. His detractors will wait to slam this leader when he errs. The fun begins for "big mouth," the Jets and the Jet fans.
BTW, Garrard is better than Moore. However, neither is capable of leading this team on the field to the playoffs in 2012. Don't expect more than 5 wins. We don't have an offense.
At least with Lucy and Charlie Brown, you'd be sure of the fact that Charlie's shoe would never make contact with the ball.
