I hear you. Far from being an expert, the play calling is out of whack based on what I do observe. Abandoning things that are going well is a way to mix things up, however, you don't abandon something that the other team is not handling well just to mix them up and confuse them. This is not fruitful at all, and it seems to happen all too often. The play book also seems to be quite thin. Thi

The "committee" created by Mr. Ross should have had one or two long-time Dolphins' fans on it who pay to watch in person at the games. Real, vocal perspective might be advantageous into treating and curing some of the ills effecting this team.

Sickofit-- You nailed it. It all comes down to having good personnel--management and players. One or two very good players can do little without a solid team of average players supporting them. We don't have a solid team. Back-ups have to be nearly as good as the starters. If the starters are average, why accept a below average substitute? Tough decisions ahead for Mr. Ross. His first job

toko--The reason I mentioned Yeremiah Bell was because the guy could really tackle. His age was his limitation. Agree on you assessment of our needs.

Unless there is an experienced head coach, one with a proven record of winning that has the burning desire to step up and take over this dysfunctional team, Joe Philbin will be here for next season. The easier position to fill in my eyes, FWIW, is at GM. Someone else "rolling the dice" might change our luck. It's been too long a streak of failing player selection by Ireland. Tim

The Dolphins are in shambles and the "house is on fire." I'm not going to focus on Martin/Incognito enough nonsense already about that crap. What is more important, more noticeable are the many deficiencies on this team. 1. Wallace: A speedy WR with poor route running capabilities who can't fight for a ball in traffic. Total separation between the coverage is necessary along

"As the World Turns," "Secret Storm," "One Life to Live," "Days of Our Lives," "Guiding Light." "Bold and The Beautiful," The Young and the Restless." Now we can include, "Miami Dolphins." It's non-stop opinions locally all day long. MNF will be just another chapter on what's right, what's wrong, what's PC, what'

This nonsense with Incognito and Martin is prime time soap opera material. However, football is why we're fans. Isn't it time to start looking at the Monday night game and what we have to do to beat Tampa Bay? With Martin gone and Incognito suspended, what "bodies" will take their positions on MNF? Can they keep Tannehill upright?

I'm standing back watching this sordid mess unfold. If Ireland is dismissed that will be a step in the right direction.

Ricky Williams has an interesting perspective. He's really talking about the guys being his family...what is said is meant to rile, to energize, to invigorate and then to act together, in unison, like a well oiled machine, to take and bully, beat up and push around the opponent on the field...simply put he equates this ragtag group of team mates, specialists at each position as a "Band of B

The Dolphins will win even though the O-line will be a motley crew. Replacements will step up their game...to earn starting positions. The Defense will supplement the effort.

Guys, it's only my opinion, but what we are slowing learning, trickle of info here and there, some reliable info some with "spin" on it is that there is a culture in NFL locker rooms that permits hazing as a right of passage. Intimidating rookies, playing pranks on them has been going on ad infinitum. However, when does behavior of this ilk cross the line and become full blown intimida

Just a little personal anecdote, bear with me-- When I was a teenager one of the sports activity I was involved with was boxing. We trained and were taught what to do and not do. Every time I faced a right handed opponent, I was not faked out with his moves, however, on those rare occasions facing a lefty who led with his right hand, I got faked out and typically got caught with his left. As

The O-line survived last night. Garner filled in for Incognito and did fine. The line is still not up to par in pass protection (pass blocking). They are better run blocking. However, not having a Lou Polite type big back to get those tough two yards on 3rd down is a deficiency. Daniel Thomas is not the tough bruiser we need for those situations. Perhaps we need to use a big line man a la Will

All 5 points on target. It was great to silence all the TV talking heads as well. Very hard fought. Great victory.

Watching NFL Am early today and they give the Dolphins no chance beating the Bengals. Strong criticism of Wallace, the O-line, RBs, and Tannehill. What a loss of respectability. We are thought of as LOSERS.

Probably! Is my answer. I listened to the Joe Rose Show on WQAM this morning and Joe interviewed Mike Mayock and later in the program, Omar Kelley. Mayock is here covering the Dolphins and Bengals today and tomorrow and will provide commentary from the TV booth the night of the game. What I drew from his comments is that there's a systemic problem with the coaching; Omar Kelley opined du

"If I can't hit him in the head then I guess I'll have to take his knees out." Stupid, foolish, assinine comment. There's a lot of body between the head and the knees to tackle.

Hmmm. Food for thought. Would there be any difference if Mike Sherman was the HC instead of Joe Philbin (meaning Philbin is out). Would Sherman run a different more creative playbook than what is being used right now? Would the 0-Line block any better? Would the Secondary cover better, intercept more balls, create more turnovers? Hard to say, huh.

Today is Tuesday, 2 days from Thursday night Bengal v. Dolphins. This thread is about Bryant McKinnie...I'm returning to it. Looking at Mckinnie's performance at LT on Sunday, given the fact that he had only hours of prep time, the guy did a good job overall. This maybe premature, but I think he may be the anchor we've needed on the O-line since Jake Long's departure. If Martin, who appears

Oh I think a person's demeanor can be effective or ineffective when dealing with large groups of men. A leader doesn't have to yell or be angry in what he says for others to take him seriously. If done right, what is being said will be accepted, taken to heart, and applied if possible. Let me give you two examples of demeanor. The words,"You've got the ability, the know how, to

Although I do agree we're not going to turn this around, it's way too early to think about drafting anyone for any position. If things continue to slide, the Dolphins may go 4-12 or 5-11. What will that mean, or should I say what should that mean? It should mean the end of Jeff Ireland and possibly the firing of the entire coaching staff. Who out there in "never-never" land could
