Not sure I agree with this. Yeremiah Bell had one a few years ago, I don't think he lost much speed or agility. If he did, he would be Mr. All-World about now if he hadn't had the injury. Maybe he's the exception rather than the rule.

I don't disagree that Davis got abused at times last year, I think it was because he consistently covered the other team's best receiver, and they will always go to their best receiver. I think Will Allen starts opposite Vontae Davis. Contrary to popular opinion, I do not like Sean Smith's cover skills, and he doesn't tackle well. Also, I apparently have a higher opinion of Jason Allen than most posters and pundits do, I think that his physical skills make him a viable safety. Every chance he's been given in a game, he's produced.

You have to have the ball to eat up the clock. If your defense is giving up that many points in two quarters, the QB doesn't have time to do much. Look at Reich's stats for the first half.
