Definitely we do need a new QB, but I can't see that a guy smaller than Pat White was is the answer. I'm told that Murray has a far better arm than White did, but what difference does that make if, like White, he gets smashed running his second play from scrimmage and never gets a chance to throw the ball? None at all.

And it didn't help him > to have Philbin & Gase for HC's who both seemed > like a couple of dummies. I don't agree with this assessment. Joe Philbin was just out of his depth, but Gase was an arrogant, egotistical, immature, brilliant offensive-minded kid who is going to be an excellent coach in this league someday but today isn't that day. We already know it, but it appears that t

I think it would benefit us to try to get Josh Rosen from the Cardinals for a third round pick. He may have not had a good year last year, but he had no weapons except an aging possible HOF receiver- no running game, no other receivers, and, most importantly, no O-line. This guy is a young, accurate (when he gets time to throw), pocket passer with an excellent arm. He needs seasoning, but with th

I would change the first of those three OL's to a C specifically, or a DL, we need a defensive line as badly as we need an offensive line. I don't think we could go wrong either way, though.

I agree with most of this post, just not the McSorley part. The guy didn't impress me at all.

I think we should draft a qb this year, but not early, because I don't think any of the qbs available this year would be able to keep us from having a sub-par year.

I agree. At this point, I'm don't have any idea how I would handle the situation other than drafting a qb both years, because I think its clear that by drafting a qb in both drafts, we open up many options, particularly if the first draft pick plays even middlin' well. The more options we have, the better.

I keep hearing that Kyler Murray "is linked to the Dolphins at 13" in the draft. The idea that we need a QB that is 5'9', or possibly 5'10', is kind of silly. I have also heard that he is "slightly built" from experienced pro football writers like Mike Florio and Jeff Darlington. In last year's draft, it was controversial that Baker Mayfield was "only" 6 feet tall,

You are mistaken, they do not ALL stink, and the facts back that up. An amazing amount of ex-Dolphins have made the Pro Bowl and post-season games, not just this year (Suh, Pouncey, Williams) but also in years past (Larry I

I agree, mostly, with other analyses I have read here and elsewhere about our team, but I have two ideas that I would like to get your feedback on: 1. Since Charles Harris has failed so completely at DE, and he was a 1st round pick, it is my idea that, if we do go to a primary 3/4 defense , that we try Harris at the OLB position, which he played in college. He doesn't seem to have the bulk to

"find someone that can unseat Tanne in the near future but that is the least of our concerns with this team." No, not the least of our concerns. Sure we have plenty of other holes and therefore other concerns, but QB is the most important single position in sports, and an NFL team isn't going anywhere without at least a competent one. We haven't had one since Marino retired, with the

"Will the Dolphins ever see a 10-12 wins in a season again? What is the likelihood of them ever taking the AFC East Title? My crystal ball is broken...anyone know?" You don't have to have a crystal ball to know that the odds are....not good.

It's the first play of the third quarter, and a rookie 240 lb. running back sprints for a touchdown putting us down just 4 points after we survive a disastrous first quarter and get back the momentum. We play decent defense (for a change) and force them to take a FG to go to 24-17. Then, we get the ball with the momentum and decent field position. From that point, we can't do anything right, Gase

I'm having doubts because his QB's can't handle a blitz at all, and he apparently doesn't realize that he has to call quick passes if his o-line is blocking poorly (or, not at all). He also apparently doesn't realize that some quick passes can be thrown downfield instead of sideways, or that if something is working you don't need to change it, or even that you shouldn't change it. ITS WORKING. Le

No doubt about it. This guy cannot win on the road. Plus, he can't beat a blitz he and everybody else in the stadium knows is coming. Instead of getting off a quick pass unless his guy is covered and then just throwing it away so we can punt from the current line of scrimmage, he pulls the ball down and basically waits to get sacked, so we have to punt from 8 or 10 yards further back. Stupid. Poo

That seems to be incredibly expensive for a QB who might or might not be THE guy. I'm not arguing against our need for a good QB, that just seems to be overly expensive.

The team played well enough to win this game. The turning point came with around 4-5 minutes left. They punt to us, we get lousy field position, but enough room to move. We are ahead at this point, but we need a sustained drive to run out the clock. So, do we stick with what has been working? NO. Gase calls two low percentage passes, both incomplete, then a slow-developing deep handoff for a gain

"Tannehill is out FOR THE WHOLE SEASON with an injury" Where did you hear this? According to this morning's paper, Tannehill is starting to throw again. I don't think that this statement is correct.

I'm beginning to think you might be right about the housecleaning, but I don't think that the breakdowns in the run defense were particularly on the D-line - the linebackers cannot get off blocks and fill their assigned holes. The two rookie LBs were nowhere to be seen most of the day, and Alonso can't do it alone. McMillen shows flashes, and Baker shows fast but small flashes, but neither is sho

Perhaps, but I don't know if this QB could get it done - even if he had a handful of starters back.

I think we DID compete in the first half, right up to 14-9 in the third- then Osweiler completely folded his tent, and he had a lot of company. But not the O-line.

Save yourself some grief. Don't watch it. I'm sick to my stomach. Every time we get to the game's tipping point- 19-14 in the third- we make the mistakes that allow the other team to beat us convincingly. Brock Osweiler didn't just have a "bad game". He is a truly bad QB. He should be cut immediately. His offensive line gave him a lot of time for most of the day, they played much better

At this point, I think Derek Carr has shown that he was a flash in the pan. He might be better than Tannehill, but not by enough to justify the price we would have to pay for him.
