LUDUPORCU, I was 9-12 and remember seeing Jim Brown play. He was my best friend's favorite player and we watched him on TV all the time. My best buddy was our fullback on the midget team (in the 50's, the fullback was, because of Jim Brown, the premier runner on the team when everybody played the strict "T" formation with the fullback in the middle and a half back on both sides). I w

I would have to say that the greatest running back I saw was Orenthal James Simpson. My criteria, I saw OJ made moves that I have only seen dogs make. I saw one at Strawberry Canyon at Berkeley when he was playing for S.C. I saw it time and again as a Dolphin fan. You know how dogs can be running in one direction at top speed, slant and in one extra step regenerate top speed going in another

This was a very intelligent discussion between eesti and Crowder52 with a lot of facts and a lot of knowledge by both parties. I went back and forth reading both parties. The middle ground, of course, is that the survivor is hiding the fact that it was a drunken party where all parties were acting a fool and the boat flipped over, the anchor went down and all drowned immediately except him

Hmmm.................I must confess, Crowder52, that what you say has thrown some dry kindling on something that has been smouldering in my mind from the time I heard there was one survivor.

I agree Daytona, if they had life jackets on it is pretty heartless to stop the search. These are athletes in good condition. What could take us out in a shorter time, may not close the case on them as early.

I dunno Montequi. I think that if any four people were lost at sea that there would be publicity, particularly if one were found clinging to the boat days later.

Agree with your comment about the media being stupid, eesti. The problem is that we are so used to being on land where you do not change position until you decide to or until something moves you. In the sea, you are moving constantly without knowing it and to keep the same position requires effort, the exact opposite of what happens to you on land. It could even be a struggle to hang on to t

Whoa, Dolphin Sam, lay off the stereotypes. Remove the "white" from your post and I think it would apply to anyone regardless of demographics. Therefore, I don't think the word "white" was necessary. Without the attributes you describe (both those purchased in a bottle or the God given physical ones) I don't see Blacks, Hispanics or Asians succeeding in any greater numbers.

I'm finished except to let the readers go back and see who made it personal first, which is why his recent comment that all he did was to say my insight was "a little too much" is baffling. Re-read his post at 3:48 p.m. above.

Oh, you're not kissing up to Ghotirule but he is the only one who taunts me about my Berkeley education. You're kissing his a_s right now. And I'm sorry that you don't like my posts. Your posts are ridiculous and you are such a little kid that when someone recently caught you in a lie you begged them to believe you and even pleaded for them to believe you with the words I am telling the truth

I agree with eesti. I know that the game has little respect but I think putting it the week BEFORE the Super Bowl, particularly when those players won't be showing up, is likely to reduce, not increase, viewership. As far as the location is concerned, maybe the gate might increase by shipping it around to various cities but, I can't see how on the whole they would make more money considering lo

After seeing the video that you attached, particularly the replay at full speed, it looks more like he did not have as much of an opportunity to go low and may even look like he tried to go low and was tossed aside. The replays I saw while watching the game on Super Sunday were from behind Warner and it looked then as though he was trying to grab the ball or arm tackle. But this certainly s

I often think that some people and a lot on this board do not truly know how to use the criticism that "Hindsight is 20/20." You can say that about every comment but it only properly applies in special situations. On one hand, if some drunk guy at the zoo climbs over the fence in order to pet the lion cub snuggled against its mother and gets mauled, do you say to the guy who calle

I too think that the refs called it WAY TOO MUCH the Steelers way. Dolphin Sam was mad about the roughing the quarterback call but I say, even more, what about that roughing the holder call? The guy was stumbloing down and naturally you put your hands up to cushion yourself against hitting the object your head is moving toward. And remember, it was not a "running into the kicker" cal

I, too, was glad that it was not a blow-out no matter how frustrating the outcome was for me.

Actually, he TRIED TO either tackle or strip with his arms. Look at the replay. Therefore, if your point is risking what makes him a player than it would have been better (for his career) for him to fall down underneath Harrison, (like every punter or kicker is taught) than trying to reach out, as he did, and attempt an arm tackle or an arm strip. And if your point is that he should not ha

Dammit,Kurt Warner, in PEE WEE football they teach you to TACKLE THE RUNNER'S LEGS. Kurt was the only one who could have stopped that touchdown by Harrison and was standing right in front of him and then tried to either arm tackle him or strip the ball. Had he just fallen down in the way even, then Harrison would have fallen. There is too damn much of a trend in the NFL and particularly
