Ha! That's like the Patriots accusing other teams of cheating!
ChyrenB - your story highlights a trend that is becoming more common. Pats fans, while wanting to think that everyone is jealous of their success, are now in fact jealous of the Steelers's success.
I live up in NE and I'll say this, Roosevelt Colvin was on yesterday and the guys were trying to get him riled up about the Clark hit on Mcgahee and also on Wes Welker. His response, "Wes knew when he was kid that he was signing up to play football, not checkers." That's a condensation of what he said, which was longer and more in detail and of course Colvin is a defensive guy but he said that he thought both hits were clean.
Most guys who play football have no problem with those hits. They understand why the rules are the rules, but they also know the game isn't played in a slo-mo camera with three angles.
Guys, I think we are all in agreement that the hit was clean. Anyone thinking differently doesn't know squat about football. Many of the NFL rules, especially regarding QBs suck, but other rules such as speering are good rules. This hit did not break any rules, it was clean.
That being said, anyone hear the latest on Mcgahee?
Well, IMHO they only thing "dirty" about it was the hard helmet to helmet--- BUT I don't think that was intentional... I think it was just defensive play.... both men moving at speed and POW mass collision and the heads smacking together hard.
So, yes, it was helmet to helmet but I don't think it was intentional.
