It's been a longer time coming for the Eagles! Screw the Cards! Go Eagles!

???
Eagles won NFL Championships in 1948, 49, and 60. They also won 2 NFC Championships in 1980 and 2004.

Why do you want revenge on the ravens? Did you think we were the better team? I can see if we should have beaten them and they ruined our superbowl run but we went as far as we can and had a hell of a season. The ravens are amongst the NFL best this year and deserves to be in the championship... just my thoughts.
It has been a long time for the Cards as a franchise, but if you look at the 'team' of Andy Reid, Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook, John Runyan they have been to the Superbowl and the NFC Championship several times with no ring.
In that context, THESE Eagles have had it within their grasp longer and more times. Kurt Warner has a ring, the rest of the Cards are young with possibly better years ahead. The Eagles are all getting old. Runyan and McNabb are almost finished as elite players, so this is likely the last grasp.

That's NEVER a sure thing. You know that!! Philly has had chances and blown it time and time again. I'm, personally, getting tired of watching Philly ALMOST get there. If Indy hadn't won the Superbowl 2 years ago, I'd be saying the same thing about them!
The Cards don't have the die hard fans that other teams do, but neither do the Lions. It happens when you've been in the gutter for so long. If they win it, it gives hope to the other teams that haven't been there (Saints, Lions). So, that's my justification for rooting for them.

RESPONSE: Because it wasn't YOURS.
Maybe, none of us should post and we should all just respond to Ghotirule's posts. But, of course, that would be boring because Ghotirule's posts are dumb.

RESPONSE: Good! THAT GIVES ME AN EXTRA REASON TO ROOT FOR THE STEELERS, i.e., KNOWING THAT GHOTIRULE WILL BE ROOTING FOR THE OTHER SIDE.

RESPONSE: Because they beat my beloved team! That is not only the sole ingredient, but it is the greatest motive of all. Frankly, I couldn't give a damn about whether or not they were the better team.
I just can't believe all the lucky breaks these birds get. Steelers receiver reaches over the goal line with his body and ball, and they call it an incomplete pass because the ball moved when he hit the ground. I hate these new rules. Anytime you cross the plane it should be a TD, period. Then they call interference on the Steelers because their receiver was touched in the end zone, even though he was completely unmolested when he tried to catch the ball.
Ravens are so lucky, I despise them. At least they're losing on the scoreboard so far.

RESPONSE: Don't know, Ghotirule. All I know is you gave me a reason to stay interested in the game and root for one side. Thanks.
