Ever since the wildcat came along, I always thought the natural progression would be for QB Coach David Lee to take over as OC. Now, not so sure anymore, but if they did let Henning go during the season, Lee would be the logical choice for interim OC.

While I'm not privvy to what the mgt is thinking, I believe this switch is very short term (unless Pennington goes on some tremendous stretch like complteing 90% of his passes and getting the offense to score 30+ pts per game). My opinion is that Henne needs to do some more studying, and not having the burden of taking most of the snaps in practice may give him that opportunity. I think Henne wil

124. Re: 0-3
Not sure if that is sarcasm or not... The O-Line has been very good at pass protection this year. I'm not saying the stats tell the whole story- the defense wasn't playing too well early last year either. Purring all of 0-3 on CP is not correct. If Henne didn't play last year, would CP have brought in a 0-16? Of course not.

Let's take a look at Pennington's stats from last year: Stats Overview Passing Year CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA LNG TD INT SACK RAT 2009 051 074 413 68.9 5.58 021 001 002 006 76.0 Not very poor, but not great. To me, the big stat is 6 sacks in 2.5 games. That's a whole lot more sacks allowed than what Henne has had this year. You can see they did not give him much time to find the ope

We're talking about the same Cam Cameron that: Drafted Ted Ginn and "His Family"- a great Kickoff and punt return specialist. In only his 4th game (preseason) sat in the stands to let his D Co-Ordinator (whom had much more HC experience than him) to get a chance to coach a game. Told us he wanted his team to "fail forward" so they can learn to win. Lost his team when he wh

WHat is with the hate lately? I mostly just observe here, but really this is too much lately. Ness could be a good pick up, but it's an end of the roster transaction. Miami put in a claim for Merriman, but he got picked off by Buffalo. No one wanted Moss, except Tennessee. That should tell you something right there. The Dolphins are 4-3, not 1-6. I wonder how bad it was here back during 1-15? Th

If we did pick up Moss (hoping not), I think RIcky Williams would be the one person that could keep Moss on the straight and narrow. Ricky's been through it all, and he might be able to keep Moss in line, if anyone could. Wherever he goes, he won't be happy unless they give him a new contract, and that would only last about a year before he started up again...

Locally, it will be on one of the Miami stations either 33 or 39 (I cannot remember which one). If you look around enough, you can find it on the internet...

every time they try it, a massive SUCK-SUCK-SUCK chant goes up right behind it. No way that chant works in our building

Crowder is a player who doesn't have flashy stats, yet makes the defense better. Since there is a playmaking ILB with Dansby, Crowder will be even mre effective, IMO. Glad to have another run stuffer up the middle in there.

from the Sun Sentinel: Crowder back at practice, and teamed up with Dansby as the starting ILBs. Carpenter and Dobbins 2nd team ILBs. G John Jerry not at practice. His grandmother is seriously ill, and speculatiopn is this might be why he wasn't at practice. Pat McQuistan lined up in Jerry's position. No new players at practice to fill the empty roster spot.Speculation is a new person is enrou

Last I checked, there were some pretty good sports stores in the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise (just across the street from the Panthers' arena). Can't help you with Miami, as I live in north Broward.

I hope I am wrong, but... Vikings 24 Dolphins 10 Vikings D is way too tough, and I fear the old man will burn our young secondary with his TE, and Harvin.

pooch punting a free kick only worked 1 time as far as I know. Miami vs Cincinnati in the 1980 season. Shula made it work, and we won the game because of it. I was telling my buddy Buffalo was making a foolish mistake pooch punting.Kudos to Sparano for calling the timeout to see where the kick was headed.

There's also the point that if you have to build a team from scratch (ie no usuable talent in the prime of their career), you need to reach a bit more to field a good team. Most teams would'nt have found a Bess, but we had to turn over more stones because we had so little quality talent on the team when Parcells came in. So, if they make a few more mistakes than other teams with more talent, then

Most of the previous regimes would have kept these players on teh team to keep from looking like idiots whiffing on these choices. At elast this regime has the guts to cut their losses, and keep better talent.
