I'm still OK with Gase so far. I think our most immediate problems are more "lack of talent" than play-calling or scheme. That said, it does bother me that, in a game where Billy Turner and Dallas Thomas were your starting LT and LG respectively, he did not choose to have Tannehill roll out to his right on basically EVERY play. That or put two tight ends on that side to help out, or

I'd probably fire Tannenbaum. I just don't trust him being in control for multiple reasons, most notably: 1. He's not really a "football guy" and isn't known as a talent evaluator 2. His track record from his time with the Jets 3. His recent history with the Dolphins I'd either find a real "football guy" to put in that position, or just eliminate the position alto

> For whatever reason, Tannhehill's accuracy and completion percentage went backwards for the first time in his NFL career... Sorry but it is not just because of the Oline, when he managed to progress the previous years with a worse Oline... I agree that the o-line isn't the only issue. He did regress last year, for reasons that aren't obvious. But, again, the whole freaking team seemed to

Tannehill has been playing behind a high-school caliber o-line his entire career, and yet still managed to get progressively better 3 years in a row, before having something of an off year last year. But, the whole team had an "off year" last year... maybe it wasn't all Tanne? And did anybody notice that Tanne quietly became one of the best deep ball passers in the league last year?

I agree that you should lock up your in-house talent *before* they get to Free Agency, but all told I'm not that upset with these moves. Why? Well, we lost a bunch of guys who got us to 6-10, so you have to ask how good some of these guys really were anyway. And don't quote PFF ratings to me, I put as much stock in PFF as I do the posters here (if not less). And here's the thing... we're pro

Give Ryan Tannehill an actual NFL caliber offensive line, instead of this "would struggle to succeed in the CFL or Arena League" line he's been playing behind, and I think you'd be amazed at what he will do. Remember, this is the same kid who threw for over 4,000 yards last year, with something like 27 TD's against 12 INT's. Tannehill isn't the problem.

Yeah, DT probably wasn't out biggest need, but we did lose Starks and Odrick. Suh replaces one or the other, but we did need depth. Anyway, I believe in drafting BPA over drafting for need, and if PhilHickenBaum felt that Philips was the BPA, then so be it.

Agreed. We have to add some help at OG, whether it's through the draft, free agency, or both. Gambling on Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner is like playing with fire while standing in a kiddie pool full of gasoline, holding a golf club overhead, during a lightning storm, poised on the edge of a sheer precipice with a 30,000 ft drop to a valley full of jagged rocks, shards of broken glass, a ton of

> You don't sign a guy looking for 3-4 mil a year to mentor guys on the developmental/practice squad Not sure Jennings will actually get that much, but nonetheless, I'd say that you sign him IF you think he can give you approximately what Hartline + Gibson gave you last year, along with mentoring the young players. The young players, BTW, include more than just Landry... perhaps you missed

But 2 years 6 mm I'd do it I could actually see Jennings starting here, along with Landry and Stills in a 3WR set (which Lazor seems to like). He might still be the 3rd option on most plays, but if he gives you at least what Hartline and Gibson gave you, that's a win just

45. Re: WR
We have to draft a WR early, OR sign a mid-tier Free Agent. Why? Simple, look at it like this: * Stills replaces Wallace's production (best case) * Landry repeats Landry's production from last year Now, you have to replace the combined production of Hartline AND Gibson. And even then, all other things being equal, you've built an offense that gets you to... wait for it... 8-8. No

No, he's no burner like Wallace, but he ran a 4.52 40 at the combine, and a 4.49 at his pro-day workout. And the guy was a star track athelete in high-school as well. Criti

So we've taken a team that already had a lot of holes to fill (LB, DL, CB and OL), and turned one of the few positions of strength (WR) into a glaring hole. I'm operating on the assumption that Wallace is gone as well, which means we now need: 2 new starting WR's, and at least one depth guy. 3 WR's. 1 new starting MLB 1 new OLB that's an upgrade over Koa Misi 2-3 new DL, depending on what

You can't intentionally tank games just to try and get a better draft pick. Do that even once and you lose all respect from the players and the rest of the organization. If you're going to preach all year long to the players that the goal is to win every game, and "take it one game at a time and win next week's game", you can't just turn that off in the last game without outing yourse

If Harbaugh is so much better than Philbin, why are Harbaugh's 49'ers 7-8, while Philbin's Dolphins are 8-7?

Is Philbin a great coach? Nah, probably not. But this team needs more good players more than it needs a better coach. Seriously, we're something like 3 plays away from being 11-4 right now. Better players at LB and in the secondary would probably have gotten us there. This offseason we need to upgrade at LB, DB and OL, and maybe add depth at DL and RB. If we can pull that off, I think Phil

Ellerbe is garbage, we should just cut him and Wheeler now... we'd do just as well playing with 1 LB and 6 DB's.

The best think you can say about this o-line so far, is that at least they haven't given up 6 sacks already.

Wow, after all these years, we finally get Quinn. Personally, I'd rather have Ted Ginn Jr. back, than have Brady Quinn. Quinn is a scrub. If he starts at any point this season, we're f%v@d.
