I agree 100% ... often times the cheering in Dolphins stadium is louder for the visiting team than it is for the Dolphins. The "J-E-T-S" chants, anyone?? I also remember a few years ago when we played Baltimore hearing "HEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAP!!!" after every big catch he made. Its ridiculous. It's one thing to be a fan and homer... but reality is Dolphin Stadium is NOT a

Haynesworth will probably not even be seriously looked at... as his skills are much better suited to a 4-3, than a 3-4, plus he is going to command a LOT of money. He is much more valuable to a 4-3 team. We should not get into a bidding war for his services as his pay would far outpace his overall impact on OUR team. Matt Roth would not make a good ILB. He does not have the lateral movement ne

I disagree... realistically nobody thought this team would be legitimately in the hunt for a playoff spot this year. Would Zach be a better QB for the defense?? Of course... and IMO, that is why he needed to go. We've spent a lot of time developing Crowder and it was time to see if he could take over and be the dominant LB we need in the middle, or if we needed to start looking for his replace

i don't think we are more skilled than any of the other teams that will be in the playoffs... except for maybe Denver, but the one thing we have going for us is we play smarter than anyone else so it makes up some of the gaps in skill level. Usually the team that wins the turnover battle wins the game... we are on pace to set the record for the fewest turnover in a season. If we keep that up

Yes... he was hired to be President of Football operations, and that is exactly the role he is playing. If he wanted to be Coach or GM, he could have easily taken those roles... but he didn't. His job was to come in here and put the right people in place to build a winning environment, and he has done exactly that. I am almost glad we had to suffer through the last couple of seasons to get to

The network is determined by the conference of the ROAD team... that way each network gets access to a home game for every stadium in the league. CBS = AFC road games FOX = NFC road games

The rules are sort of convoluted. Orlando is a secondary market for Jacksonville and Tampa Bay... which means the CBS affiliate is REQUIRED to play the Jags games anytime they are on the ROAD and the Fox affiliate is required to show the Bucs when they are on the road. They can choose whatever game they want when those teams are at home. I don't know if it applies to SECONDARY markets lik

If the Jets would have won last week, you can GUARANTEE this game would have been the primetime game. But, as it stands, there is the possibility that the Jets can WIN and be out of the playoffs. THAT makes for a real interesting post-game interview, doesn't it?? I hate to say it, but the Broncos/Chargers is a more compelling national game, because it is GUARANTEED to have playoff implications

Honestly... I really dont think there is. once you get below freezing it is cold as hell no matter what. I don't think 10 degrees is really any worse than 30 degrees. They both just suck.

Isn't it amazing that this guy was essentially on NOBODY'S radar for a head coaching gig... other than Big Bill's of course?? In fact all of the top coach of the year prospects this year essentially came out of nowhere. Are we going to see the beginning of a trend where teams move away from hiring coordinators and move more to position coaches??

Haynesworth while a great player is not a good fit for this team and the 3-4 defensive scheme that we run. He is not big enough to play the NT and isn't really a good fit for DE in a 3-4. I doubt we will make a play on him... as while we could probably find a role for him, he is a LOT more valuable to a team that plays a 4-3. We do need to try and find a stud NT though as ours are a little lon

And yet, had we taken care of the Jets (or Patriots) when we played them, we wouldn't have anything to worry about. If you win against the teams in your division... you are in, its pretty much that simple. Sure, there are other ways to go about it... but if you take care of business in the division, you are prety much set. Like someone else said, if we are going purely by record, why even h

I agree... I see no problem with the current system. In fact, I think it does one big thing that is a positive. It makes the divisional games all the more important. That makes those game more exciting to watch and the season more interesting. Really, how intense is that last game of the season against the Jets gonna be, when it is likely gonna be for a divsion title and playoff spot?? Now, ch

The rules are complicated... but basically it comes down to this. The local network affiliate gets to choose which game to air, unless they are in a "home market" for a team carried on that network, in which case they HAVE to show that game, unless they are blacked out due to non-sellout. Usually, the network will have a "national" game that will have their top-broadcast te

Again... Ronnie Brown is getting the recognition because he runs the WildCat for Miami. It has been a big part of the Dolphins success, and has taken the NFL by Storm. That means every week for several weeks, sportscasters across the nation were showing Ronnie Brown highlights over and over and over... and it stays in peoples' heads. Hell, ESPN even went as far as to have a roar sound every time

Ronnie Brown is getting there because he runs the Wildcat plain and simple... plus, Pro Bowl is about name recognition and often players will get in based on LAST year's performance, and last year Ronnie Brown was the best back in the NFL before going down with injury.

Having an off the field issue is one thing... but this has ON the field issues as well. He is a locker room disruption, doesn't attend meetings, has personal issues with other players and coaches. I think it speaks volumes when a team will make a player sit out a game as punishment... especially one like the Giants that lacks any other solid playmakers at his position. Plus, they did it more t

Well, technically after training camp we did control our own destiny... going 16-0 would guarantee a playoff spot.

With 4 games remaining its a little early to start talking about "controlling our own destiny" ... at least not extensively. There are a lot of other teams in the league that still control their own destiny too. It will be picked up when it is closer to season's end and it adds to the storylines of the individual games.

It means the Dolphins are back in control of their own destiny... if they win out, they win the division. As, I've been saying for weeks, and I keep saying, it is all gonna come down to the last game of the season against the Jets for a playoff spot. (Division or Wild Card) So, do you guys think we can beat the Jets on the road, likely on national television, and in a cold weather game??
