Mizzou15, thanks for the insight. If he played on your team in college and you don't want him then a big red flag just went up.

But don't you think that against decent SEC teams his offensive line was getting blown up and he has very little time to throw. Not to mention if the D-line has stopped your run then you are just a sitting duck. Basically, I am saying a guy like Tua sits behind this huge line and has all day to throw. Yea he looks good, but how good. Clemson sure made him look less invincible in the champion

I like this kids potential, in maybe the 4th round. I also like Easton Stick, he is under the radar but can throw. Does not have a really strong arm. I will admit Mayfield surprised me a little, thought he was a product of that Lincoln Reilly system (ie Kyler Murray possibly) Drew Lock peaks my interest in a QB. I do think you need to find someone to fit your system. Even Brady wou

ChyrenB.... Dan Marino never won a super bowl because his defense was bad. If he played for San Francisco at that time they would have won eight super bowls. He is hands down the best QB ever. Greise was also a great QB in that he got the most out of his players around him, lets not forget they did have the #1 defense in the league in our undefeated year. With respect to the upcoming draft.

Don't like Rosen. I didn't want him last year he had to many concussions in College. I would draft QB Drew Lock,if he was not available then a DT or Edge with our #13 pick.

Wow ChyrenB, you are bitter. The question was just asked to provoke thought. Like what a GM would be doing. I am one who hates it every time a team trades with New England on draft day, because NE always gets the better deal. The whole idea of the trade is that is one extremely talented player more valuable that four very talented players. The poll was attached for fun. Why tell peopl

I am almost positive New England would not do it, but they have tons of draft choices and we might have an edge with our new coach.

I suggest that we trade our #13 and #151 picks (value chart 1180.6 points) to New England for their #32, #64, #73 and #101 picks (value chart 1181 points). We would move back in the first round but would end up with 7 picks between 32 and 116.

The QB from Oregon is 6'6" with a cannon for an arm and quite mobile. He has all the qualities. Go watch the first half of the Stanford game when he shredded there defense. I say draft him if you can!!!

Not trying to be Debbie downer.... but if you look at the 3 wins so far they are basically because of turnovers. We were out gained by miles in two of the three. That is not a receipt for a winning team. You cannot count on turnovers at crucial times to win games. Our team needs lots of components to become relevant in the playoff picture, the injuries are not helping either.

Ken ........... I know what point you are making, but being a current Athletic Trainer, we bust our asses on a daily basis no matter how bad our team plays. I do agree the rest of the team was awful.

252. Re: Hayes
Guys, I have worked as an Athletic Trainer for 30 years and am all for rules that make the game safer. This new QB rule is just stupid and is now responsible for an injury to a defensive player. That sucks because he was doing well this year. I guess we should just put Quarterbacks in a different color uniform and blow the whistle when the defense gets near him like they do in practice. Don't

New England is the team that goes out and finds the problematic good players and tries to turn them into something productive. Eventually, those bad apples will spoil the bunch. I am wishing that on them. PS. my brother has always been a bandwagon jumper, I don't believe anything he says

My brother is a Patriots fan and he is thrilled because they got Randy Moss to play well. Moss was a head case because he thought he was the greatest player on earth, Gordon is a whole other head case. I am thrilled they got him, hope he gives them what he gave Cleveland these last 6 years.

I believe he planned it all along. Mentally he was finished with football but he wanted his last big headline. So, since it had never been done before he went for it. SPLASH, huge headline for him. If he just retires or even fakes a hamstring injury, his story is a side note. It's a shame for all of his teammates, they deserve more respect than that, to bad he was a good player at one time.

Anyone who protests during the National Anthem is trying to disrespect the flag, because they could protest any other time. They just know it will create the biggest uproar and get them more attention. I think that whoever is broadcasting the game should show the American flag and not any players.

257. Re: 2018
I would rather have a roster of average players that would give everything they have for the coach and team, than a roster of supposed superstars that don't want to give there all. Plain and simple the players we cut loose were not going to give there all for the team, so they have got to go. Just like in life something is only as valuable as the price another is willing to pay for it. Our

TC, I am glad you brought up the Pats...... I need to vent...... Is the NFL stupid!!!!!! Why do teams continually trade with the Patriots who continue to win every trade. They obtained a 2nd, 3rd, and 7th round draft pick in next years draft by trading back. I have more to say but none of it is clean enough to write in this forum.

The way the draft played out we had three choices: 1) trade back - no takers (but we still have to take someone if we did trade back) 2)LB Edmunds - went to buffalo at #16 3) Fitzpatrick - our selection Would have been happy with any of those, Fitzpatrick was a steal at #11.

watch Nelson's highlight tape on youtube. He literally blows up a backside blitzing CB against Georgia. Dude can really play, I would love that pick.

Does anyone take into comparison that these are the players from the top QB schools that could be drafted on offense this year. Josh Allen (Wyoming) - no one Darnold - RB and WR Rosen - WR Mayfield - WR, FB, TE, OT I did not look into who may be drafted in the next few years. Seems to me that Mayfield and Darnolds stats should be much better. I do think UCLA has some really go

Fins72 if the draft plays out the way yours does..... then sprint up and take Nelson! Will play every down at a very high for many years unless he gets hurt.

Go to ESPN and take the QB blind stat quiz, it will show you how stats can be misleading. TC I do agree with your point we need more good players not just one QB. If we win a championship not won will care what we do.

I made that same comparison about Marino a few weeks back and got slammed. Allen played with two true freshman (i believe they were on same side of th line) and one red shirt freshman offensive lineman. That plays a huge difference. Lamar Jackson does not have a completion percentage of over 60% in his career and won the Heisman with 56%. I have made the case that Mayfield's 70% is in part d

BTW, Joe Namath was the worst HOF QB ever. His stats sucked, win percentage, TD/INT ratio everything. Had a great year and made a prediction (and played for Alabama). Just in case anyone wanted to know. We are in a no win situation, no matter who we draft. Someone will not like the pick. Hope we draft well, fingers crossed!

If anyone can tell me a QB that you could have replaced Marino with and made any of his teams win a Super Bowl please enlighten me. Football is the most "team" sport. Three separate teams ( offense, defense and special teams) We need a team full of good players. I do think we have no plan other than going with RT this year and if he gets hurt we are SOL.

TC I agree with you. Our best case is to trade back and get more picks. One player will not magically fix us, me need more pieces. I really believe that most players(that's over 50% for everyone who wants to give me an example) become real good in this league because of the situation they are placed in. A star player on one team may be mediocre on another. If we can find a trading partn

Back to the point of this forum (the #11 draft pick), Dolphan4545,if you were the GM who would you pick up/draft as that one player that would make us a championship contender? Any of the Quarterbacks? If he fell to us at #11 I would think Quenton Nelson would be my draft choice but I don't think he will be around at that spot.

Dolphan4545 ......Why are you attacking me, just because I don't use big words to make myself look smart..... I just asked a question about Mayfield and added facts to back it up. You cannot name one player that played in the last 10 years that would make our team a super bowl contender..... go ahead , give me a name..... we have to many holes.....I can make a case for any of the 5 QB's or many o

The whole point to my original post was to question Baker Mayfield's completion percentage and raise the question if Lincoln Riley is the reason why he had success. I agree that the Dolphins need to draft a LB, CB, TE and G. Possibly add depth at DT and OT. Hopefully we get one of the LB's in the first round and a TE and CB with the next two picks. Although I do like the idea of trading b
