I agree with Mizzou and the trading down scenerio and with what Phinfan is thinking. I would also pick Simmons at 5 if the others were not available. I am so against trading up (into top 4) to get Burrow or any other QB. I have always stated if you throw out any players 2 best and 2 worst games that is who you are going to get most days. Mizzou you stated that Love can be erratic and that

samsam3738 I whole heartedly agree to both of your posts. No one is worth 3 first rounders, especially for an unproven player. Even if you picked a QB in the first round this year and next year you get two shots of getting a good one. I definitely agree with the comment on the coaching staff. I think they are the right group with the right head coach. As for the toxic enviroment... think

I was worried when your post didn't have an edge player but see that Lynch is considered an Edge. I would take what you proposed now. lets do it and start training camp.

I do hope it is a smokescreen. Heard Herbert and Love are doing well at the Senior Bowl.

You two make me want to cuss (in Italian because I am Italian too). We can go back and try to rewrite history by filling in our roster with whatever player you want and it won't do a thing. I read these forums to have a conversation about our Dolphins and all of the threads end up into a bickering contest. The real thing we should discuss is who should we pick in the draft. If you love a QB

I guess what I am trying to say is that drafting a franchise QB is dependent on who you surround yourself with. Put any HOF QB on a crap team and you get an average QB. That's my opinion. I hope we as a franchise figure it out, and hit a homerun in the draft. I ask, if for some reason Burrow goes first and other teams go nuts and jump up to 2, 3 and 4 for QB's, are we dumb enough to pick t

While I agree that if we had a "great QB" that would be great, but if the recent games proved anything it was that you need a great Offensive and defensive lines. Hell I could have played QB and won the San Francisco game this week and all of the Titans playoff games they won. They also prove that it is NOT the player it IS the system that they are in that makes them successful. Lo

captkoi I agree with all of your points. I hope he is available at #5 we pick Isaiah Simmons LB/S from Clemson. All great defenses have a Great middle LB. I still think that Cincinnati may not draft Burrows (for Young) or trade the first pick to some team for a bounty. All these media want to link Burrow there because he is a Ohio kid. HELLO , Young played for Ohio State. Why wouldn't they

Not saying he cheated in this instance. He does use the rules for his advantage.... but does cross the line a bunch. Wish Houston would have lost but New England loosing was a good substitute.

I am positive the rule will be changed this year. Its about time one of the loop holes Belicheat found came back to bite him in the ass.

The draft is a educated guess at best. And taking a chance is part of that process. Dallas took a chance on the linebacker out of Notre Dame a few years ago. BUT that chance was a second round pick for an injury that was a known athletic injury. Tua's injury is more like a car wreck injury. Not taking a chance with the #5 pick or any or our first rounders. As for Trevor Lawrence.... If w

jsm08 its interesting that you described Tua as " head and shoulders better than any QB in this draft" considering those are the only body parts he didn't injure at Alabama. If I had to take one of the QB's if healthy to win one game then yes I would take Tua. But the reality is Tua is often injured playing behind a great line with great skill players and still Had 4 operations. The

The best part of him taking penalties to keep the clock running is that New England started that crap earlier in the year, and it came back to bite them.

I "may" take him if he falls into the second round, but way to much of a risk before that. He has ankles with basically fishing line through them holding them together, and a hip that supposedly has lost internal rotation. The fracture will heal, he will walk and run again but if you loose motion in a body part what happens when that part actually has to do that motion? You rip it apa

ChyrenB you asked for it so here it is: Here are the QB's drafted top five and other pro bowl QB's taken in that draft 2000 - none taken (#18 Joey Pennington first QB taken) ; (#168 Marc Bulger, #199 Tom Brady) 2001 - #1 Michael Vick; (#32 Drew Brees) 2002 - #1 David Carr, #3 Joey Harrington; (#108 David Garrard) 2003 - #1 Carson Palmer (none) 2004 - #1 Eli Manning, #4 Phillip Rivers; (

LT cost a lot in free agency... I would rather get two $8 million a year players then one $16 million a year player. One injury can cost you big time. So lets be smart. But if we do spend lots of money lets get at least a great guard (Thuney or Scherff) if we get a RT to even better. Draft at least three O-line. We would be good to go at O-line. I like the Yannick Ngaoue idea and the DB

Wow where do I start: First off if Antonio Brown was still a Patriot New England would have been a wild card team at best...he is a cancer and would destroy a teams chemistry. Second: yes we need plenty of line help, I would draft at least 3 O-line and add more in free agency Last: Yes, I believe that Fitzpatrick has a enough talent and leadership ability to elevate his team to win more

I was just thinking the same thing about the Patriots. We can’t clone them, but I do think the things that they have done and worked we should use. Like the O-line being able to play many positions is a good idea. We should not reach or pigeon hole things, but we need flexibility. If we find a guy that only plays LT or RT if he can play I am good with that. A strong center is a great thing, he

I like those O-line that can play multiple positions. That is one of those under the radar things that made NE good for so long. All their O-line could play every position. So if they had an injury they had a good replacement.

I admit I am not sold on Hurts because of the Oklahoma system, but you make good points. I only watched him a few times and he looked good, except against LSU where he looked lost. (but so did everyone on Oklahoma) The talk out of NE is just talk because they know Brady can't play forever and they need a replacement. I have even heard that Brady would come down to Miami because he sold his h

I still would go after Joe Thuney (G New England) He is 27 and real good. He is an observation, I was wondering if anyone else has notice this. If a player gets traded because of under performance it seems like the defensive players still suck and many of the offensive players thrive. Take Tannehill and Drake they look great. Yes we got Beigel and he is doing well. It seems to me the scheme

Mizzou15: love your draft... I would put Tyler Biadasz (C) Wisconsin in for our first pick of second round, he is a beast and hope we get him. Then get a (T) with either of the next two picks. Not sold on Hurts but he is solid and we do need to draft a QB at some time.

No way in hell should we trade our whole first round for Burrows. We have holes everywhere. One supposedly sure first pick (Q won't do anything if he is getting killed because he is not upright. I would choose YOUNG if I made the decision, and Young may be the first pick no matter what the media is telling us, they are just trying to sell stories. Burrows still may be around when we are o

I agree with fixing the O-line. We need to use a few draft picks on that area. Maybe we can get Joe Thuney (G - New England) or Brandon Scherf (G - Washington)and Jamie Collins (LB - New England) and Byron Jones (CB - Dallas) in free agency. The two New England players it's obvious our coaches have relationships with them, Washington is an awful situation and Dallas is spending to much mon

177. Re: Draft
I have been rooting for Tannehill and Tennessee because they had a shot of getting either Pittsburgh or HOuston out of the playoffs. Don't think it will happen however. On the draft front. Currently we sit third behind Cincinnati and NY Giants based on strength of schedule.(which in my opinion is stupid considering we lost to the two teams that have our same record. Why is head to head not f

I think you leave him on the sidelines. I think he was shell shocked last year and it was getting that way this year so they pulled him out. I think he has potential, but Fitz has the maturity to handle this situation much better. I do believe with the injuries we have that puts losing the last few games into a real possibility no matter who plays QB. I never believed we ever tanked... it was

I agree with you Colonel.... beef up the trenches. I thought Saquan Barkley looked good last year, but this year his line sucks and he looks average. Same thing goes for many other backs... look at Dallas. QB's are the same way, Brady looks average this year cause his line sucks. Go back to Dallas... Prescott looks great one year and not so good the next... all because of the O-line. Their

Whatever position our draft picks end up in I do believe that Coach Flores will make an intelligent pick based on his background as a scout and his track record with signings this year. He is a smart cookie. Glad we have him leading this team.
