I am totally in favor of finding a good QB.... but stats show that more QB's since 2000 that won the super bowl were drafted outside the first round. Now I am not in favor of drafting an OL every first round, that's nuts too. I look at as if you drafted a pitcher every year in the first round until you finally find a good one, but your defense is awful. How good is your team? If working w

Samsam I really hope you are joking about taking a QB in the first round until we find one that is good. Because here's all the drafts since Tannehill and who we would have had: 2013 - EJ Manuel not Dion Jordan (both bad) 2014 Johnny Manzel not JaJaun James (we loose) 2015 Garret Grayson not Devante Parker ( we loose) 2016 Paxton Lynch not Laremy Tunsil (we loose) 2017 Deshone Kizer not Ch

jsm08 I totally agree! Treasure I that Flores is smarter and we should make a choice and stick with it. But I do think the team lost confidence in Tanny for whatever reason and he needed a change. I maybe wrong about Hebert, I think he can be really good, but I liked Josh Allen better than Mayfield, Darnold and Rosen in that draft and we are seeing that play out. I like his arm and mobility

I admit I didn't get to see a lot of the Dolphins this year. I am deep Carolina country. So I do agree with getting rid of guys that are not first team players with large contracts and maybe recouping something for them. Don't matter if it is financial, players or draft picks. I like the OL suggestions many have given. I do believe that is a huge issue we need fixing. Our QB cannot throw a

I am all for taking a QB at #5 or some other time. Pick a guy and go with it. If Burrow fell to us at 5 then I would jump at him. If it cost us three first rounders then I think someone like (Herbert, Fromm, Love , Hurts) with the other player would make us a better team. Burrow is just like Tua: his team was loaded. Possibly 3 to 4 defensive players can be taken in the first round. A gre

Agree to disagree(and this is just for arguments sake, I really am not sure)... I think they both stay based on an argument I made in another thread. We need to space out contracts with older and younger guys or we will never be able to afford the contracts in three years.

Can we move on from Tannehill!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy crap! We traded him, he is gone, he was not good here for the most part and won games in tennessee because of a great running back. BLAH BLAH BLAH Now onto today. I said Burrow was a one season wonder. He is, hell I got on the field more than he did for his first college and I am an athletic trainer. He first year at LSU was average then he

I keep reading Burrow has leverage on trying not to go to the Bengals. I am not understanding the leverage. Elway forced a trade but was going to play baseball if he was not picked by who he wanted. Russell Wilson got drafted later than he should have because of the same rumor about baseball. Eli Manning basically forced a trade by threatening to sit out a year, and his QB dad had a hand in it

Burrow is basically a one year wonder in the college ranks, we could have drafted him in the 5th round at the start of the year. Herbert has done it for a few years in Oregon. Didn't have a great senior year but has a cannon arm.... remind you of anyone? Burrow could be anything from great to this years Trubisky. I would be ok with drafting Herbert #5, better that wasting picks and trading up

I hear what everyone is saying about getting younger but we also need to consider a few years from now and how to pay everyone. The cowboys are in that hole right now. If we mix some young guys with a few old guys (30's) on the line then we might be able to afford the group for years to come, by replacing the older guys. I love some of the line suggestions, just got to play it smart.

I hope all the reports turn out great on Tua and the Bengals take him. Then they can deal with all the potential problems, or reap the rewards.

I am not suggesting to actually trade up... i say stay where we are and use the extra picks on upgrading the whole roster..... but if Young did fall to #5 then scoop him up or trade that spot to some desperate team for a treasure trove of picks.....this is a project that will not be completed this year.

jsm08 i agree with hoping Young falls to #5 and picking a QB at #18 or #26 (Love, Hurts, Fromm) I even suggested the report we were going up to #2 would be great if we took Young there.

Does anyone else feel like trading up for an injury prone player is a little like jumping in front of a person to by a quick pick lottery ticket?

There is actually an article entitled "Miami Dolphins need offensive line before a quarterback" on the phinsider. I think our issue as Dolphin fans is we had the only QB who could just beat you with his incredible skills. He didn't need a OL because of his release and vision. He damn sure could not run.No he didn't win the big one, but that was the rest of the TEAMS fault. We try t

I would love to see a Harris for Elflein trade straight up. Also read an article about players that need a change of scenery, of those I would like us to target: Zach Fulton (G) Houston Eric Ebron (TE) Indy Graham Glasgow (T) Detroit All good players, not sure if they are free agents or under contract.

I don't get the love affair with some QB'S BY THE media. Lets break down the numbers of the last 3 Oklahoma QB's: Mayfield 285 for 407 70.5% 4627 yds 43td/6int 198.9 rating 311 rush yds Murray 260 for 377 69% 4361 yds 42td/7int 199.2 rating 1001 rush yds Hurts 237 for 340 69.7% 3851 yds 32td/8int 191.2 rating 1298 rush yds The numbers are basically quite similar but two were consid

I am throwing out a few questions for the chat.... I read an article about trading up to #2... what would you think about taking Chase Young? Trade a first for him and with the other pick the best QB available(ie. Gordon, Love or Fromm) Also, we have six picks in the first picks 70 picks. Does it make sense to trade up to 2 or 3 and pick a potential franchise QB that is fragile and give up

If you are in love with Tua or Herbert or Love then you have to take him at 5. I want Simmons but don't think he will be there. If the QB you want (lets just say Fromm, Hurts, or Gordon) will be there at the end of the first round then take the best player from Edge, OL maybe CB (if any of Young, Simmons, Okudah) are still on the board them run up and make the pick. If not, I see nothing wron

They talked it about all year because of it sounds cool. I thing the coaching staff ignored it all year and should ignore it at draft time as well.

For whatever reason Tannehill did not work in Miami.... some guys just need that change of scenery or scheme. I think he got caught up in the mess that was the front office and coaches during his years here. I don't believe he is a QB that cannot be a difference maker...just one that is a good supporting role guy.

You two are funny to listen to and at the same time frustrating. You both make valid points....a team needs a great OL/DL to be successful..... and a team can always use a great QB The draft is a balancing act of who you need, who you can get and what is the best value for your team. We have three first round picks and could improvement across the board. Yes any pick could turn into a ha

I saw a report that the first four picks may be QBs. I say stay put, let the insanity happen around the NFL. If that happens and Young falls in our laps I would be elated. You could hold that pick for a kings ransom or take him and get Gordon at 18 or 26.

Never was a Kobe fan because Boston is my team, but I always admired him for him heart and work ethic. Sad day around the world because like ChryrenB said he grew up in Italy and loved soccer. Was widely known across the pond because of his passion for soccer. Some great soccer players have already given their thoughts on his passing. He had a full life and had more to give. I feel bad for

One more thing , I read he has lost internal rotation in that hip. Meaning he cannot turn his hip inward. All great if you are just walking but playing a sport that requires full movement, I do not think this is a good situation. Like you said .... stay away

Bo Jackson actually subluxed his hip, meaning the hip popped out then went back in and it trapped a blood vessel causing the head of his femur(thigh bone) to die and had to be replaced. Tua broke the socket that holds the ball of the hip in place. Bones heal but the blood supplies could be compromised and the hip socket is lined with cartilage which does not heal well so if he broke the socket t

That injury is new to any professional athlete that I can find. This includes every pro sport in this country, every pro hockey and soccer league and major rugby leagues. So how he will recover is everyone’s GUESS.

Of the 40 something mock drafts only 3 have us taking a player with our first pick other than Tua, and two of them have us trading up to #3 to get him. Has the whole world lost their mind. Maybe if he didn’t fracture his hip, but this injury has never been seen before in the NFL. Yes he has the highest upside of the QBs but right now he has the lowest downside of them. I would rather take t
