I like the cautious approach as well. I would like to sign the center from NE. Jumping into the free agency market with both feet is not always great , remember SUH.

He is considering this situation. Even if we trade down to 8 we will fill a position of need, and get a lot back in return. If you figure 4 QBs, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 OT and 1 LB will probably be the first 10 picked. Any of those will fill a position of need (except Qb I am sticking with Tua)

He also went to Flores High school so there is a lot of history between him and Coach. Along with playing with another Georgia player, I believe this will work out. Like others have mentioned it is really a no brainer and won't cost much if it does not work out. It is the kind of thing that the (you know who) did all the time. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it does not, but I think it

I agree this is a strange move. Yes we have some players that can fill that role, but there is more behind it. Flores is to classy then to tell someone on twitter and to classy to refute a lie about it as well. Something happened and we will never know. As for this "get Watson" crap. Lets go get him and he can throw the ball to no one, hand the ball off to no one and stand behind a

He will either go to Pittsburgh to play with his brothers or jump of the Brady train in Tampa Bay

samsam.... the draft jake long was taken in was a awful draft in the NFl.... Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco were in it but pretty much everyone else was not good.... so yes Jake long was actually a good pick. And yes I do think we could get that from Carolina... potentially more... teams are giving up multiple draft for a QB, so a first this year and next year along with #39 this year is not beyond

70. Re: SB
Once again the super bowl proved that you can have every offensive weapon on earth but if your line is suspect then you loose. Ask Brady, in his three Super Bowl losses he was on his ass a lot of the time. Pick Sewell at #3 if you stay at that position. If not him, then pick Ja'Marr Chase, the best WR in the draft. The Heisman winner would not have won the award if his stats were put up

I keep watching that play over and over. From the front his head looks like it never touches the ground on the tackle. I do wonder if the tackle around the head stretched the artery in the neck and basically stopped blood flow to the head for an instant. That would cause him to get up like that.

Najee Harris was just added to the senior bowl line up. So the Miami coaches get to be with Harris and Smith for the whole week. Even though I would rather have Chase, I would be ok with Smith at 3 and Harris at 18.

There is no way they won't let Mahomes play in that game. I don't care about protocol, I know the protocols and the time frames. Heck I am a Certified Athletic Trainer. I don't think he actually has a concussion. Never saw a blow to the head. I do think he has a neck strain. He will play.

I say don't trade for Watson using draft picks. It took to much to get the draft capitol we have to just throw it away. I would be open to drafting Fields at #3 or as Mizzou15 said trading Tua and Jones for Watson. Just ran a simulated draft and here are the results. #18 Kwit Paye Edge Michigan #19 Najee Harris RB Alabama #36 Rondale Moore WR Purdue #59 Landon Dickerson C Alabama #8

So I decided to do some comparison on Ja'Marr Chase and Devonte Smith Devonte Smith (Nov 14, 1998 -22 years old) Last season stats - Heisman winner - Senior season 117 rec 1856 yds 15.9 ave 23 tds Ja'Marr Chase (March 1, 2000 - 20 years old) 2019 Season stats - Biletnikoff Winner - Sophomore season 84 rec 1780 yds 21.2 ave 20 tds Both are the same height , Chase is faster and

One more thing about WR's, If I think two receivers are close I would always draft the one with the best hands (ie Jarvis Landry - he could catch everything near him) That being stated, I really have not idea how good either of those two players hands are and the number of drops

I do think Chase and Smith are close. Chase was the best receiver in 2019 9he sat out this year), Smith the best in 2020 Ja'Marr Chase*, WR, LSU Height: 6-1. Weight: 200. Projected 40 Time: 4.4. DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama Height: 6-1. Weight: 175. Projected 40 Time: 4.45. Jaylen Waddle*, WR, Alabama Height: 5-10. Weight: 182. Projected 40 Time: 4.45. Here are the stats. Chase

I am glad someone posted about if we don't pick someone there will be controversy. That is what is wrong with a lot of the picks in the first place. "Tank for Tua".... if we didn't pick him south Florida would have gone nuts, but we would have taken Herbert and we saw what he can do. Lets pick Smith over Chase simply because he went to Alabama. Foolish thought process. Heck they

Samsam.... while I like Smith at WR I think Ja'Marr Chase is a better overall receiver because he is willing to block and still has great WR skills. I think any of the top 3 WR will be excellent pros. Moving on to the drafting offensive linemen. Any statement about comparing an average Marino line to every other QB line is foolish at best because he had the fastest release in football, and yes

Samsam I would not give up that much for him. Getting the right OC is a big thing. I always look at drafting players like this. Is the #1 player at that position in my evaluation head and shoulders above the rest or is the #2 or #3 player close to the #1 guy, what is the gap. I think Sewell is way above anyone at his position. There are at least 3 receivers that could go first receive

If we trade Tua straight up for Watson I would be ok with that. Otherwise if we have to give up a draft pick then I would not do it. Huge salary to take on would be one thing but then to loose draft choices over it is to much of a price to pay.

As one of my ex football coaches said one day when I asked him why coaches do things certain ways, his answer was "Because Coaches are stubborn". People wanted Tua because he was putting up great numbers...Well so is Jones at Alabama (even better numbers) and they are not on his band wagon. To many people see what they want to see not what is really there. Allen and Herbert they s

just read an interesting scenerio..... If Fields is there at #3 we draft him and send Tua to SF for the #11 pick and take the player we want. Basically upgrading the QB position and still getting another good player.

I will admit that I did not want Tua. His history of injuries and playing on a team with vastly superior skill players compared to the opposition were a few of the factors. Wanted Herbert or Allen in the past, you can't teach a cannon for an arm, you can teach WR's how to catch a ball. That being said, If we traded Tua for Watson I would only do it for a straight player trade, nothing else.
