Yeah I don't know what to expect either. The only outcome that would surprise me is if everything goes perfectly.

We are concerned with injuries, especially concussions, so we add another regular season game. Okay… We reduce the number of preseason games. Fine…. But we have a gap week between the final preseason game and the first regular season game. WHY. I would have had a much better Labor Day weekend watching some NFL.

I just saw a blurb that Clayton and Kooch are finalists for next year's senior class admission to the HOF. Yes, I'm a homer big time. And of course I'm biased because I've seen both of these guys play a lot of games, on TV and live. But I'm tellin' ya, they both need the recognition. Unfortunately Kooch would be a posthumous induction as he passed away a few years ago, but better late than

Most of us have likely heard about the multiple rip-current related deaths taking place recently at beaches along the Florida panhandle. It has been disturbing for me to read, because I recall many rip current incidents on Miami Beach in my youth. Unfortunately, Ryan Mallett has been announced to be one of the most recently deceased in this manner. It just goes to show that no matter how athl

Lineman are like socks..you can never have too many. I value OL for sure. But having a superstar running back also takes some heat off of Tua (in a different way). if the RB is a threat the opposing D can't expect him to pass as often. Also..he doesn't HAVE to pass as often. Yeah sign him!

Free Agent. Miami native. Wants to play for us. Will he offer a hometown discount? I actually like our running back by committee, but he'd obviously be an upgrade.

By the way it seems (per follow up report on local jock-sniffer radio station) that the infraction that the Pats committed was having a meeting at the end of an OTA session that caused the beginning-to-end time to be longer than rules allow (e.g., they were supposed to be four hour sessions but the extra cheating-meeting brought it to 4 1/2 hours). Not the biggest breaking of the rules by the

New England Patriots Caught Cheating. The Patsies lose two of their OTA sessions for "violation of league rules" (read: cheating). Local article doesn't specify what exactly they got caught doing, but there are two surprising aspects of this story (neither of which is the fact that they are still cheating): 1) They got CAUGHT while cheating 2) They are being penalized (a tiny bit

I saw this headline on espn.com this evening: "Sources: Ohio State hires ex-NFL coach Philbin" My first thought was, well they're gonna suck this year. But upon clicking through to the actual article it was clarifying that he is being hired as an analyst, not as a coach. Okay, that makes more sense. Damn clickbait lol.

I think he was definitely the best running back, and I say that as a Larry Csonka worshiper. Speaking of Csonka, there were some great quotes from him paying tribute to Jim Brown. As a kid in Ohio he grew up being a fan of Jim and the Browns, and also decided to go to Syracuse based on the fact that Jim Brown was an alum. RIP Jim Brown

Everything about that show seems great, except the name (fish? ). It appears to be an official Miami Dolphins show too...as the episodes are posted on the Dolphins' youtube channel. Zach looks good (I only had time to look at the first minute or so of his episode).

Part of me thinks that it was a false rumor planted at the Combine, to create a misdirecting notion that the Phins won't be drafting a QB because we are pursuing Brady. That would lead to other teams' mockups having us not drafting a QB, yet we would draft a QB. Who the hell knows. Jeez the offseason can be boring

Supposedly a rumor flying around at the Combine prompted a Boston news website to headline that Brady Might Go To An AFC RIVAL. And of course that turns out to be the Dolphins. Rationale is that they think Tua might not be cleared to play at beginning of season (or the first time he gets hit) and Guess Who Happens To Live In South Florida Nowadays. Slow news day in Boston...maybe.

oh of course, yes, the national anthem rendition by Chris Stapleton performance was fantastic and I really should have remembered to include it as a choice. They panned the camera to some coaches and players on the sidelines who were moved to tears during this performance. I believe that Chris Stapleton sings with more soul than anyone else alive today. Shame on me for not listing it!

Boston local website says that Brady will not enter the broadcast booth until 2024. Obviously he is leaving the door open for One More Season. Make it the Raiders, Tom. Or he is going to get a 12-month degree in Broadcasting. I can't see him being any good at commentary, but we'll see.

I watched the episode, and of course...I enjoyed it. Then again I'm a sucker for pretty much anything that involves the 1972 season. Did I learn anything new? A little bit, there were some new interviews interspersed with archival footage. Jane Chastain, the original female sportscaster (for real) was interviewed. That brought back memories. I remember seeing her on Miami's Channel 4. As a
