I think Thomas will look much improved during the regular season because Daboll's system will be fully deployed giving him more opportunities to succeed. Play calling during preseason is rather vanilla, predictable, and limited to prevent injury. Also Jake Long will be back.

Why pull Pouncey off center where he has been doing well and Henne is doing well and probably starting to develop chemistry?Long is a lock at LT, and Incognito is good at LG. IF Columbo or Carey are the problem maybe replacing them with MUrtha or Garner would solve the issue and wouldn't disrupt the chemistry with the guys doing well. I just don't see shifting everyone right before the season jus

I got faith in D. Thomas. With the short season, learning the system, and adjusting to the speed of the NFL. I went back and watched some K-state clips. I must say D. Thomas is a unique style of runningback. He is lean and kinda tall almost looks like Mike Vick running the ball rather than a runningback. He seems to have good vision and is athletic. He seems to be more quick than he is fast. He

We all know what he once was. Does anyone know his skills at this point in his career? If nothing else should be a mentor for the young guys.

-First,it takes a few seasons as an nfl starter to judge if a rookie is great.(as seadevil mentioned above) -Second,every year writers & fans go through the entire draft to see who becomes successful just to make the statement: We should have drafted this guy.(Hindsight is 20/20)

-All our roster has finally been revamped. We are a youthful team.Built primarily through the draft. Accented with some good young Fa's from trades and a few suprise guys(Udfa's and CFL,etc.) -We have a good defensive coordinator. He has had success with building tough defenses. -We have an offensive coordinator who had success against some tough teams last year, including the Patriots, an

A good majority of his passes were like 5yarders(most of yardage was from after the catch) and it helps inflate the stats when T. Bouman keeps giving you the ball right back. He also played against 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Last season everyone was going crazy over vick and their dynamic offense and they seemed to exit right out the playoffs rather quietly.

I read Miami is showing interest in Chargers LB Stephen Cooper. -9yr vet -has pretty many tackles -went to Maine(maybe Sparano connection) Don't know much else bout him.

Sparano and Ireland are doing an excellent job. They inherited a team with virtually nothing to work with and no trade bait. Now we have a team full of young talented players built primarily through the draft. They accented with young talented FA's Fasano,Marshall,Dansby,Bush etc.. The defense looked really strong last year under Nolan. We were able to defeat some top tier talent(a positive sign

M. Barber III could be a suprise IMO. -He's a hard nosed runner wit alot of heart and very comparable to A. Bradshaw in stats and injuries. -He will probably come cheaper than D. Williams and A. Bradshaw. -He knows our staff and our staff knows him. -He is good at picking up the blitz. -He got the shaft from Jerry Jones. -He was used on a limited basis last season which may have

I have constructed a brilliant plan to bring back football, fufill the dreams of many fans, create job growth, stimulate the economy and save the U.S.. Without further ado I give you the U.S.'s first ever reality football league:"America's Got Football" or "So You Think You Can Play Football?" or "American Football Idol".... I 'm still working out the name. The way i

I think Daboll will suprise some people. He was able to run the ball down opponents throats with Hillis and then when teams knew it was coming he was able to run the ball down the opponents throats with Hillis some more. Smashmouth football tell them what you are gonna do and still be able to do it. Daboll learned well under Alvarez at Wisconsin. Alvarez was a god of smashmouth football.

Daboll is a secret weapon. He ran the ball effectively against many good teams and they new it was coming and he still continued to run the ball effectively(Smashmouth football). -By being able to run the ball anytime we want that will allow us to control the game and will open up more opportunities for Henne which will allow him to shine and make our passing game effective. -Add in a toug

I voted neither. Ricky Williams- getting old,his mind is more concerned with other issues in life at this point, seems to have lost the passion for football & is just going through the motions. Ronnie Brown- Poor vision, might break a big run once a year, injury concerns.

Good article IMO. Forcing a Qb just because Ross got his panties in a bunch is only going to cause more problems. We need to stay the course we have been on with rebuilding this team we are almost there.

IMO Parcells is the type of guy that will lead you down a path that winds up back at the begining. I mean when a coach starts saying something about his draft strategy its usually a red flag. Your draft strategy isn't something you just leave laying around on the coffee table. And Long has been nothing but great and a pro bowler so for Parcells to say it was a mistake to draft him doesn't really

I like to shotgun 5 red bulls and wade out into a murky creek(the kind where you can't see what's underneath are the best) for a good noodling session.

Parcells did exactly what he always does.He walks into a situation where a team is in shambles, ownership is clueless, and fans are in panic. He rebuilds the coaching staff, follwed by solid drafts, finds a few diamonds in the rough, and adds key veteran FA's the whole time the panicing fans and owners scream and cry saying we are on the wrong path and there are not enough results. Parcells then

No, I do not think Thigpen will be released. Thigpen is: -Experienced in the NFL. -Experienced with the Miami Dolphins. -Still young & healthy. -Has talents (strong arm,can make something out of nothing, gutsy, has won in the NFL). -Already on the roster. If Henne does not pan out or gets injured Thigpen gives us the best chance at winning. Old vets are usually injury prone & new

How do you guys feel about the new kickoff rules to increase touchbacks? And,if the game continues to change do you think it could get to the point where you don't find the game enjoyable anymore and cause you to no longer watch? -IMO I don't like the new rules put into place. It is too much manual manipulation of the sport. Special teams players such as kick returners and kickers lose impo
