A Look at Brian Daboll. Is he a secret weapon in the draft?

I know , but we still have 12 days until the draft.Just trying to start some more conversation. I'm actually really starting to dig this place. Can't wait until the draft is over , the Lock out is over , and we really have some good stuff to talk about!
For now hanging out in the "bleachers" is all we have.
Ireland will listen to Nolan. He has a proven record. He was successful before Miami AND at Miami. Daboll, on the other hand, doesn't have that to stand on.
I think this article makes a good point or observance. Last year when we hired Nolan, he got to pick some players he wanted IMO. I think Daboll will be able to pick some players that he wants in this draft. This Draft will at least partially have Daboll name all over it, so to speak. I like Daboll, in that he is able to adjust to his personell a bit, look what he got out of Peyton Hillis last year. I dont think Henning adjusted to his personel very well, as evident of lack of success with just about every offenisve Dolphin player having an off year last season.
My other question about Daboll in cleveland, is I do not think he had much of a say in the draft or picking up players. Holmgren was in his first year, I am going to guess he used his power to control who got picked. SO I would believe Colt Mccoy was more of a Holmgren pick then a Daboll pick, as well as the other FA moves made in Cleveland last year
Cleavland played in a hard schedual, they had Hillis and well Cribbs on special teams!!
Daboll if he can get Henne to turn it "on" and Marshall to get on the same page....
I am excited about this year. I think if we get the O-line in tip top shape then we should be 11-5/ 10-6 no problem.
Also he will bring in somthing differant, and I am anxious to see how Daboll envision's the wildcat and the differant formations he might run from it!!
Now if we can mover Hillis to FB, Thomas to RT, and Mack to center and Cribbs on ST returner and stretch the field WR, we'd be solid.....lol, just wishful thinking from your exercise, it seems the players they have that are good are exactly what we need.......
Daboll is a secret weapon. He ran the ball effectively against many good teams and they new it was coming and he still continued to run the ball effectively(Smashmouth football).
-By being able to run the ball anytime we want that will allow us to control the game and will open up more opportunities for Henne which will allow him to shine and make our passing game effective.
-Add in a tough Nolan Defense that hopefully can go from good to great and we will be all set.
Iam not buying into the hype the fans & Ross are expecting about an all passing game with a new big time passing QB & a passing OC.
This team will be a run first Offense, with a killer defense, and a few more opportunites to pass.

I was being serious
I think Henne gets benched for McCoy and Wallace if both were on our team last year
Watson had a better year than Fasano
I don't profess to be an expert on CLE's guards but I am sure they couldn't have been much worse than ours

I think Cribbs would might get the start over Hartline, maybe. But you are right Phinsfan. Their offense was much less talented than ours.
