To quote superman's dad Steve : 'I'm not sure why your here, but I'm pretty sure it's not to score touchdowns.' WOW, I guess you see things differently @ 24...

For what ever reason, the receiving corps looked better with Marshall on the bench. A lot of open guys out there.

1388. Re: Henne
From a Henne hater… Hats off , good game #7. What I liked: Seemed to see the field better, saw more receivers and got them the ball! I think the best accuracy over a whole game we have seen from him so far. Nice couple of touch passes over the middle early on. Good arm strength (but we always knew this). What I didn’t: Still rattled by pressure. inexplicably errant throws at time

Your right, Woodley sustained the concussion the next year playing for Pittsburg. Despite my poor memory, the point is Woodley, even with his athleticism and scrambling ability, was sacked nearly twice as much as Marino playing behind basically the same line. Dislike of Henne is no more irrational than the inexplicable 'thrill running up the leg' some seem to get talking about this guy

Yea, but Stephenson had been there since '81. Just saying all the parts have to be there, nothing is gonna 'Take care of itself'. Ever think what may have been if that dirty Klecko hadn't chopped Stephenson?

It could be rocket science. If Great OL = Good QB then Great QB = Good OL. Seriously, A QB that can read defenses, see the field and get the ball out quick can make a Avg. Line look good. The 'QB position taking care of it's self' philosophy has been held by every regime since Wanny and has gotten us no where. Who thought well of the Phins offensive line in 1984 till a guy named Marin

Speaking of former players in general, Jason Allen is still screwing the Phins even after being released. The Jets are the luckiest team I have seen since the 2001 Pats...

Agreed, but it's not JUST the offensive line. It's the whole Belicheck system. Hate to pay the aloof, smug, slobby SOB the compliment but in terms of methods and results he has a lot in common with Shula. He is able to adjust his system to focus on the players he has and their abilities and minimize the impact of any weaknesses. His teams are ALWAYS competitive. I remember when the Dolphins

Yes I do want Henne back now so our soon to be punch drunk team and it’s fans won’t forget that he is no better than the other QB’s on the roster. Else, we’ll have to sit through ANOTHER year of ‘…Waiting for him to develop…’

Yea, it was a sad game all around. Not that I think Tyler Thigpen is the next great Dolphin QB by any means. But if anyone thinks Henne wouldn't have been sacked 15 times behind that line, they are kidding themselves. Once the Bears figured out we couldn't block them, which took all of 2 plays, they were just lining up and teeing off on the QB who was starting for the first time in two y

If you look at Parcells career, his success has always been inversely proportional to the amount of overall control he has had. From the Giants where he was basically just the coach to the Dolphins where...well... Lets hope he becomes VP of Football Op's for the Patriots.

Just because Thigpen sucked last night dosen't mean Henne didn't. Let's face facts. At this point there is no viable NFL QB in Miami. Not on the field, not on the bench, not on IR and not on PUP. This is the result of 10+ years of management that has marginalized the QB position and believed that all they needed was a journeyman or lower rounds 'Project' to go with the dominating defense

Your right JC Earl might still be down there somewhere. That would just make him easier to sign (if not find)

@BansheeGoose be glad you aren't on other boards as I usually am. The very mention of Henne not being the Franchise can get you flamed for days! Things look a little more civil here. And I agree with you Henne isn't terrible he's just not getting any better and IMO IS NOT the answer for this team. The old guys will understand this equation: Chad Henne = David Woodley

38 year Dolfan but new to this board. Truth is ALL high draft picks are a crapshoot. I’d rather flip the coin going after a QB that touches the ball every play and runs the offense (or at least he should), than after another dang lineman or defensive back! I don’t see how drafting a QB with enough promise to be a top pick can be any worse than trying out another journeyman or ‘Project’

38 year Dolfan but new to this board who loves seeing some of the old names mentioned (at least some of you must be as old as i am). Really now, what would be the difference between signing Jamarcus Russell and Earl Morrall? Oh yea, Earl's to old to get in trouble on South Beach. Please God no Jamarcus Russell. He's like Rothlesberger with NO ABILITY!

What exactly was the rap on Thigpen in KC? I know they lost 9 of 11 with him, but at the same time they had a bottom 5 ranked D and LARRY JOHNSON was hurt. His stats looked pretty good including almost 400 yards rushing in 11 games. Why did they just dump him? Every time I've seen him take the field for the Phins (granted thats only been twice) he seems to bring that 'spark' Sparano keeps tal
