I think the PATS hid three things pretty well all year: 1.) They can't run the ball on better defenses. 2.) They don't have much of a pass rush. Did you see the time Sanchez was getting? Crazy. 3.) Like us, they lack speed at receiver. They Jets looked like they were in JJ's 'press' defense underneath, it was lights out, no one could get behind the coverage. Brady had decent protect

I can't imagine the Jets beating the steelers. Sanchez won't have the luxury of all day to throw the ball like he had yesterday. Also don't think they will stop the Steelers running attack as easily. Yesterday exposed some issues with the Pats for sure. 1.) Inability to run the ball against better defenses. 2.) Impotent pass rush most of the game. 3.) like us, they lack a real speed recei

Seems the Steelers ALWAYS have the refs on their side. What a couple of BOGUS P.I calls Saturday keeping two TD drives alive. The Superbowl they won with Bettis was one of the most obvious ref-jobs I have ever seen.

So he can get more FIELD GOALS (fist pump, fist pump, fist pump)! I don't know, I'm willing to give him a chance but so far it looks an awful lot like more of the same (Parcells system V2).

1274. Re: Fox
I had completely forgotten Henning was OC with Fox. Their offense averaged nearly 26 ppg during their superbowl run. What the heck happened!

I thought about Fox also. Class guy and he had a good run in Carolina. Went to a SB. In the end he was done in by not being able to find a QB (sound familiar).

I for one am willing to give Sparano a chance, we really don't know what he has (unlike our sloth, arena football QB ). 'Till Parcells went, Sparano was just following orders IMO. We'll be able to tell shortly whether he is a 'true believer' in the Parcells system or just a friend who needed a job. Sure signs we are in trouble: -No earnest effort to find a real QB -The Wildcat survives

OK Monty, Henne will be a hall of famer shortly, QB isn't important we can win with any old chucker, and Dan Marino is only a household name because he won a Superbowl...whoops...there went that argument. My point is, a good QB <> Superbowl championship, but one does = a competitive, contending, 'relevant' team. We don't have the former and we are not going to be the latter till we get

No, He11 No and No. No more journeymen, no more has beens, and PLEASE GOD no more 'find a lower rounds diamond' philosophy. Trade up, pay the price and at least have a 50-50 chance of getting a winner. The next couple of years look like the most promising in a while for QB talent. Go get one Sparano!!!

After last night here is what I think about Newton: -Newton definitely has a strong arm. But not a rocket by NFL standards. -He is a little less of a 'run first' guy than the highlight reels would have you to believe. -Big and strong, but so are NFL linebackers -Found open receivers sometimes under pressure but lets face facts...they were WIDE-E-OPEN. This doesn't happen a lot in t

Most Likely: 1.) Ricky is history. 2.) Marshall will ask to be traded. 3.) ANOTHER MISERABLE YEAR OF 'Waiting for Henne to develop' UGH!!!! 5.) The wildcat lives on. 4.) Carpenter becomes team MVP. What kind of idiot interviews other coaches while one is still employed? I can't understand how Ross thinks this employer/employee relationship will work now! Sparano will probabl
