After watching Luck and Mallett I would take Mallett hands down (either is unlikely but I'm just sayin'). His passes looked crisper and like they had more velocity. And he looked VERY accurate compared to Luck, at least vs college DB's. It impresses me that: 1.) The Buckeyes were bringing the pressure all night and he still made plays. 2.) The Ark. receivers looked less than all-world

There were some real hair pullers, but I remember the first time I thought somebody was drinking. First Jets game, secon half, down by 4. We had second and goal inside the 5. In the backfield is Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams and Polite. We let Henne throw two incomplete passes then kick a field goal.

Luck - Mostly agree. Last night was the first time I've seen him play an entire game and I certainly wasn't awe-struck. The results were good but as you say his receivers were often WIDE open, when they weren't (early on) his results were very 'Henne-Like'. College accuracy <> NFL accuracy. It also didn't seem like there was a lot of zip on his throws, it was dink and dunk, of course thi

That is the guy we need. Hell to the YES! Look for coaches that have been successful with more than one 'kind' of team. The 72-74 Dolphins were VERY different from the 83-85 Dolphin

Thats Cool A& O, I've got one for Ya. When I was growing up we lived in Boone NC in the same neighborhood as and went to the same church as Bob Matheson and his family. One of the main reasons I became a Dolphin Fan. It certainly wasn't the millionaire gated community players live in today, I remember seeing him mowing his yard! My dad remarked that since he was off all summer he should m

The offensive scheming appears pretty poor, but there is no play that calls for Henne to throw the ball to the other team in the fourth quarter with a lead. Just like there is no play that calls for Henne to NOT throw to Marshall or throw the ball into the ground 5 yds in front of the receiver. I'm certainly not satisfied with Henning OR Sparano but perhaps, just perhaps the coaching staff

Just my opinion and I'm sure you fleet fingered Google-miesters will find contrary examples, but: I don't want a College QB who is feet first and arm second. Whether his physical style is speed (Pat White, Vince Young) or Power (Jamarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, or 'ouch' Cam Newton). I don't like short QB's. If your under 6'2'' You better be Joe Montana (or Drew Brees). I want a tree who c

OK, I'm not a Parcells fan AT ALL, never have been. But in fairness what if Pennington and Ronnie, and Smiley and Garner, etc had stayed healthy? May not have been the total train wreck it is. I see what he was trying to do...

Ricky is almost done but I have to say he has run with more power and intensity than Ronnie this year. I'm afraid Ronnie hasn't recovered from his injury fully. With our luck we'll trade him for next to nothing and next year he'll be back in form with the Patsies or Jests.
