He played very, very well.
The thing that impressed me the most was his command of the offense. He was reading the defense, killing plays, calling audibles and he knew exactly where he wanted to go.
Very encouraging. I really hope this wasn't just a small flash of brilliance before he reverts back to checkdown Chad. We have the potential to make a great playoff run if he continues to play l

The penalties definitely are a reflection of the coaching staff.
The team has always seemed under-prepared with Sparano at the helm.

So at what point in his "best ever" college career did Tebow play H-back?
You're going to cut one of our young guys and trade a draft pick for a guy who has never played the position(s) that you want him to play and you think he's going to set the world on fire?
He has been insistent on the fact that he's a QB. He's not going to change his mind for you.

You don't win Super Bowls by being conservative. You must take calculated risks, and this is a risk worth taking.

Henne played very well tonight, but we really need to see him play into the third quarter.
His footwork seems much improved, but he still seems to be afraid of the post route. He passed up a clear TD pass to Fasano on a post in favor of a dangerous pass to Bess.
Still, his performance was encouraging.

Reggie Bush looked absolutely incredible tonight.
His patience was pleasantly surprising. He waited for the holes to properly develop, and made one or two good cuts before taking off. And when he did take off, his speed was blinding. I even saw him bowl over a couple linebackers and drag them a couple yards.
He averaged 6 yards per carry, and if you include his receiving numbers, he average

Some people on this board just can't get away from the "I'm a better fan than you" attitude. It's pathetic.
We all cheer for the same team. We all want the same thing. Some people simply have a different view on players/coaches. Expressing that view does not make anyone a lesser fan, and thinking in those terms is ignorant.

And what about the 32 games he played before last night? How does that fit into the context of "it's too early"?

The funny thing is that realistic people battle this same argument every year.
After his first year, the excuse was "He's a rookie, and is bound to make mistakes. Give him time."
Then after his second year, the excuse was "He's still finding his way. The third year is the true test. Even Peyton Manning needed 3 years."
Then after his third year, the excuse was "O

Yes, I can.
He no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt after 32 games. For once he needs to come out and prove people wrong. He needs to prove me wrong. But he won't do that, because he can't.
Even after two full seasons of being the starter, he's making the exact same mistakes. He still hesitates. He still locks onto receivers. He still makes poor decisions. These are mistakes that exi

He's been given enough chances. In fact, he's been given 32 chances, which is the number of NFL games he's played in. 32 games and zero growth.
At some point, the franchise simply has to cut bait and walk away. Not all draft picks are successful.
The guy has, or had, all the potential in the world, but he never fulfilled any of it. He never even came close.

People are calling for his head after two years, not after one preseason game. This isn't his first rodeo.
How many chances does he get? He played poorly enough last year to be demoted TWICE in the same season. Then he comes out and shows that absolutely nothing has changed.

Tell me, in what areas has Henne visibly improved during his time in the NFL?
What things does he do better now than he did in his rookie year?
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
He's making the exact same mistakes that he's been making for three years. This shows zero growth, regardless of personnel on the field.
Different excuses, same result.

Its baffling to me that this organization continues to give the reigns to a QB who, in his third year, is STILL locking on to receivers. The guy is a complete bust.
When he threw his second interception, he looked to Bess, hesitated, stared directly at him for a couple seconds and made a horrible decision. I can forgive a QB for poor timing in the preseason, especially given the circumstances

They're willing to take a chance on an old, troubled RB, but not on a young, troubled QB.
No wonder we haven't been to a super bowl in three decades.

One thing is for sure, Ross can't afford to make the same mistake twice, so he will surely be unforgiving this year.
If the team does not succeed in Ross' eyes, then both Sparano and Ireland will be out, and he will need to make a bold statement to avoid losing fans. As much as he may value either of these two men, it is very clear that the ticket-buying public does not, and he will not contin

While I've never understood booing on any level, I definitely utter the phrase "Ugh, Henne sucks" every Sunday while I'm watching the game.

I'm not sure paying the best CB in the league a large amount is "blowing" the money.
Ireland has clearly demonstrated that he does not want to pay for a stud QB, as he refuses to draft one early. He didn't even flirt with signing D. Williams, so clearly he doesn't want to spend the money in the backfield either.
It certainly wouldn't surprise me if this did happen.

My problem with Henne is that he's horrible when the game is on the line. He folds like a lawn chair at the faintest hint of pressure.

Lee came up with it. Henning called it, but Sporano never shelved it.
The head of the snake is still calling the shots.
