mikeo. i disagree almost completely with your previous posts concerning the FO. those free agents misses happen on every team, especially a team that went 1-15 and had almost ZERO talent. Also, you consider anyone not starting to be a MISS. LOOK AT THE LIST OF FREE AGENTS. When you sign that many free agents with intentions of them playing significantly, You will have busts. They had to

fair points on the JT to the Jets. but no one would have given anything for White. Also, this way Camarillo will actually get more opportunities to play in Minny so from that perspective it will be good for him. Sapp provides experience and depth and could emerge as a leader, especially for the ST units. It seems like Dansby and Bell are good leaders for defense. Henne is developing into a lea

I couldnt agree more Phinsfan2. It is unrealistic to have expected parcells to turn around a 1-15 team without taking some risks. Some didnt pan out and they were cut almost immediately. this shows accountability and not being afraid to admit mistakes which is important to me as a fan. Also you cant expect late round draft picks to be anything other than back ups. Draft picks cannot be e

im not sure grove will be gone either. as someone pointed out in a different thread, almost all of the bonuses on Grove's contract have been paid already so cutting him would only save Miami his base salary which is a reasonable salary. im not sure if they will part ways unless they have someone in mind that they are really gunning for. also, i hope ronnie stays but i agree that he will prob

seems to me that Jones will be a nice replacement for Bell whenever his play starts to decline and will provide excellent depth at SS until then. If Clemons cannot adequately play FS this season then I think FS becomes the number one priority this offseason. OLB will also be high priority depending on the play of Misi and Wake and the development of Ike. Also, it seems that the TRI will dr

to trade back into 15-25, miami would not have gotten a second rounder and especially not that high. a rookie wideout generally does not have a big impact right away. also that is a lot of money in the wideout position when the defense is what really needs help.

for cheap he would be worth it. he could help plug the gap in the middle. im against bringing in old OLB tho.

i agree that the defense did lose games last year while the offense performed adequately. especially while ricky and ronnie were healthy. i dont think we are SET on offense but I do think improvements have been made which should help the offense progress. at this point i think the offensive production will correlate with the development of Henne. How goes Henne is how goes the offense.

im not so worried about yardage rankings as I am about games won. Besides drafting Jerry, we addded Brandon Marshall on offense and we will at least start the season with two healthy good RBs. so we did more than draft one player, we added multiple players on offense throughout the whole offseason. also added Incognito. AND all three players added will immediately become starters. that see

jets have better CBs. miami has a better d-line if starks can hold his own at NT. jets have better linebackers now but depending on how some of this years picks turn out miami could close the gap in a hurry. Safety are a push. miami has bell and jets have leonard. other safety position is held by unproven players in eric smith and culver/clemons. offensively it is a push. whichever qb p

i agree that WR, TE, RB, S, OLB will be the focus. possibly NT too if Starks doesnt work out there. it will also depend on how players develop. future looks bright tho.

DeAndre McDaniel out of Clemson next draft is the long term answer at FS.

RB definitely isnt a pressing need offensively. Going into the year with two good RBs. if one gets hurt then the other carries the load. like last year with ricky finishing the year. less pressure on RB cuz of Marshall and development of Henne. it makes sense not drafting a RB if there is little chance of him seeing the field. hilliard is good 3rd RB and cobbs is back. on the other hand

i like adding sharper or hamlin this year then drafting an elite FS in next years draft. unless of course clemons, jones, or culver develops(unlikely). i want DeAndre McDaniel next draft. he is sick.

miami added a lot of depth and youth to the defense. this defense will only get better and S is a piece that can be added next off season. this is a young defense with a good young core. i also want a ball hawking FS but i think that can be addressed next draft.

myron rolle is too slow to be an effective centerfielder. thomas would be good tho. agreed, TE is not as pressing of a need this off season as getting another OLB or NT. wouldnt be upset with a WR tho.

decker is gone to denver in third. i would like gilyard, sapp, norwood, thomas. lots of good players. Pitta and Hernandez left at TE too. lots of good players. would be great to pick up another pick or move up in fourth.

at this point i dont care about getting a safety in this draft. i dont really like any of the ones left. i say sign a vet to a one year deal and draft an elite one next year. like mcdaniel from clemson, he is a bad dude.

if we want a fast and aggressive defense then taylor mays is fast and aggressive and violent. im not a huge fan of mays but im just saying if he keeps falling at some point you got to consider it.

kindle in baltimore is scary. he looked so good on the highlight that just ran. destroyed OT. he is fast and violent and explosive. kinda makes me wish miami had him. oh well.

i agree mikeo. these additions to the front 7 give me optimism for the future. i would say miami has to take bpa from now on. would like to trade merling for that rumored third.

technically we dont need an OLB to only rush the qb. wake will do that. we need a SOLB that can set the edge and play against the run. misi will play SOLB i think.
