anyone that knows basketball knows that LeBron is currently the best player in the world. Seriously, its no contest. the size argument is ridiculous. Also, Kobe and Jordan relied on their athleticism heavily until they got close to 30 and had to focus on other parts of their game. As for lacking skill, you don't come close to a triple double every night without skill. He is an elite passer a

true, which is why i like this one because it addresses team needs and gives a couple directions that each team could go with the pick. It's a bit early for Pouncey but Ingram would not be the worst pick. Although, I am not fond of the idea of Ingram in the 1st round. I think Ryan Kerrigan is more of a 4-3 DE. Not sure if he has the size for a 3-4 DE or the athleticism in space for a 3-4 OL

Not so fast on Mallet, he is troubled by a slow delivery and slow feet. Couple that with questionable pocket presence and it is a recipe for disaster. there is a reason most draft experts are grading him out as a second rounder and it is not just his off-the-field stuff. Honestly, he reminds me of Chad Henne. Rocket arm, poor pocket presence, intelligence questions, and slow feet. I would be

thats true and im not saying he is a bad clutch player because looking at two seasons ago he was incredible. i am just saying that he shows huge inconsistency. i mean, why the drop off in production for those situations? This season his overall game took huge strides, but his clutch performances were lacking. The whole team might have played bad but he takes as much blame for that as any play

if they want fisher, it will be interesting to see what he would do with the defense. fisher is a defensive coach specializing in the 4-3. would he keep Nolan and the 3-4? we are built for the 3-4 and we would be set back by switching to the 4-3. it would mean even more rebuilding. i am not for that.

I like Stanzi but he doesn't have great arm strength which severely limits his potential. He could be good because of his intelligence and accuracy but he is also inconsistent down the stretch. Two years ago he was incredibly clutch and this last season he was horrible late in the fourth quarter. he had quite a few opportunities for game winning drives late in the fourth but he struggled. i w

phinsfan2, i like the mock for the most part. i agree with taking a qb if he falls to 28. I would prefer newton or locker but mallet is good value at 28. also i love odowd, he looks like hes gonna be a great center in the NFL. Good choices on the two RBs. Also I really like Titus Young, he could be a great complement to our current receiver corps. Haven't heard much about Jeremey Beal, w

he definitely has problems with his mentality but knowing this is his last chance may help him keep his focus. plus, as i stated earlier, he had no mentor in Tennessee but he will have penny here. his stats are not inflated, thats ridiculous. he was benched for collins because of his injury and because he had problems with jeff fisher. again, a chance of scenery with a new coaching staff an

Yeah good point. he is injury prone (Culpepper coming off a major injury), but otherwise he is quite different. he is more accurate on short to medium passes and more mobile.

I know numerous posters dislike Young and don't want to see him in Miami. I disagree though and would like to see the phins give him a second chance. He is definitely a bit of a head case but he will have Pennington to help him learn to be a professional. don't undervalue this point because Kerry Collins definitely did not provide this service in Tennessee (plus his mentor Steve McNair had

I would agree with no to Ingram or Pouncey. Either trade up for Gabbert or trade down and pick up a 2nd rounder. Pouncey will probably be available later in the first round anyways

Trading down into the back of the first and picking up a second is good idea. This draft is ridiculously top heavy. IF thats the case then I would advocate drafting the RB from Illinois, Leshore i think is his name, in the first and picking up lineman in the second and third. Then adding a QB, TE, WR in the rest of the draft.

We don't need Luck. Are you implying Gabbert is the next Aaron Rodgers and Luck is the next Manning? If so, I think the Luck analogy is somewhat apt but the Gabbert analogy is totally

Chryen B, Not to be argumentative but i must disagree with you on a few points you made. Peyton Manning is the best brain at QB in the NFL. hands down. Also, Luck is extremely accurate. The huge knocks on all the other top QBs of this draft is their lack of accuracy. Coincidentally, Manning and Brady and Brees and Rodgers, are all known for having outstanding accuracy. This is why Luck w

I am posting my ideas for this offseason. Needs: Center: Keep Berger, he is cheap and a good backup. Draft Kris O'Dowd from USC in the third round. Guards: Keep Garner, versatile depth. Keep Jerry, didn't play much last year and should benefit from the off season. Only resign Incognito to a reasonable salary for an above average guard, he was the best interior lineman last season.

My bad on Jackson. Not a possession receiver. His height and good but not elite speed make him a deep threat. But still, we can't afford to put more money into receiver without a better Oline and QB, can we?

I agree about Locker. Luck seems like a lock. Newton and Mallet have potential but also lots of question marks. So lets say that we could move up to about five by giving up this years 1st, 3rd, and next years 2nd. I think its a no brainer to go get Newton or Mallet. It is not going to be an easy thing to get someone in the top 5 to trade with us, especially with so many teams needing Q

Phinsfan Which QB would you bet your hypothetical career as a GM? Which of the Qbs besides Luck do you like? Also, the Jets moved from somewhere around 20 up to 5 to take Sanchez and it didn't cost them two firsts. Just a handful of other picks in that draft and the next plus a few players of little consequence. Would you be in favor of that? Or just using the two firsts?

It seems like everyone agrees that a QB needs to be added next off season but at what cost? This is the issue and lets assume that the FO believes that this QB can be a franchise QB (if not then this discussion is pointless). Also, assume we will pick somewhere between 15 and 19: Draft only if an elite QB falls to us? Draft via a moderate trade (moving up only so far that it will cost p

It's true that getting a top five QB does wonders for your team year in and year out but just remember that its 50/50 on if a first round QB pans out much less becomes one of the best in the league. It's a huge gamble but a gamble that teams must take if they want to be great. It's about time Miami took a risk to become great. No 1st round QB since Marino. . . have to draft one soon. After ne

Great Points. I am starting to sway in my belief that we should address the rest of the offense. If there is a QB in the draft that the FO firmly believes in and he is available within reasonable means then I say we take him and hope he pans out. Or at the very least him and Henne push each other so that one of them pans out. If we did this and signed an elite OL from FA then I think we rea
