The funniest part of the Wells report is this:
"By contrast to Incognito and Jerry, Mike Pouncey flatly denied hearing vulgar language used toward any individual at the Dolphins facility at any time. He said he never heard anyone make statements to Martin about having sex with his sister and commented, 'if someone said that to me I would punch them in the mouth.' In light of the overwhelm

Michael Sam has already accomplished what the entire Dolphins organization couldn't do, bring Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito onto the same page.
Richie Incognito ? @68INCOGNITO
@MikeSamFootball #respect bro. It takes guts to do what you did. I wish u nothing but the best
Jonathan A. Martin ? @J_Martin71
Hats off to you Michael Sam, that takes some guts #resp

short week, Martin's gone AWOL, Clabo's starting, and Pouncey is now a target in the Hernandez investigation.
Tannehill will be lucky to get out of Thursday's game in one piece.

Our two biggest holes are at OT and CB. You can bet that two of our top 3 picks will be at those positions.
Assume Johnson is off the board at #12 (if he's there it's a no-brainer). There's no other OT worth taking that high, no matter what Kiper says, and it's a deep draft at the position. So OT waits until Round 2.
So Ireland will look at two CB prospects, Rhodes and Trufant. I doubt I

I think the play of the offensive line will also factor into it.
I wouldn't start a rookie QB behind the porous line we had last year.
With John Beck, our line was so bad he was getting sacked on running plays. No wonder his hands were shaking so much he couldn't hold onto the ball.
But hopefully with a healthy Jake Long and absent Marc Colombo we'll have better o-line play this year.

Here's another hypothetical: what if Flynn had accepted Miami's contract offer? We'd still have drafted Tannehill, right?
Then Moore would definitely be a goner, and you'd have a pretty interesting QB competition between Flynn and Tannehill.

I'm pretty skeptical of Ireland, but you gotta admit, he did a good job of driving down the price of Soliai. Let's see how this plays out.

No doubt this has been in the works, but the timing--a day after the meeting with Manning--is telling. Most likely they could have made this deal with Chicago or a similar one earlier, but were holding out for more. Then just maybe Manning made it clear in so many words that getting rid of Marshall would improve their chances, and they pulled the trigger.

not a bad haul for the Rams--2 firsts and a second for moving down four spots.
Cleveland seems to be going hard after Flynn, so if we whiff on Manning maybe we're looking at Tannehill at #8. Yikes.

This should be an interesting couple of weeks. Basically the future of the franchise for the next few years--maybe more--hangs on this one decision about the QB. Saban faced the same kind of choice between Culpepper and Brees and failed.
We go into this one better prepared. The choice of Philbin, who then hired Sherman, looks like a stroke of genius right now. Between them, they have a mor

I'm sure there's a sound football reason for this--he probably saw something on the Giants' practice tape yesterday made him think he needs an extra lineman. . .

The problem w/Soliai is that we couldn't get a long-term deal worked out before having to put the franchise tag on him, raising his salary from $550,000 to $12.4 million. Don't know whether that failure was on Ireland or Soliai's agent.
But since Vince Wilfork's 2010 contract pays him $8 million a year, we should have been able to work out something below that.

Funny how Marshall thinks that publicly undermining his own quarterback (Moore) like that is going to make Flynn want to play with him.
Kinda like how Ross thought publicly humiliating his head coach (Sparano) would make Harbaugh want to work for him.

If we are switching to the 4-3, doesn't it point to the fact that we aren't in the market to trade up for RGIII?
We need the picks to retool the defense--don't see how we could do it through free agency alone.
I think Ireland is looking to let our free agents go on defense, preserve the cap space to sign Manning or Flynn at QB, and restock the defense through the draft.

Last year Sparano was a fallback option in case Harbaugh said no.
So true or false, this is in keeping with Ross's history.

Pulling out of the Raiders interview because he didn't want to jeopardize his status as top candidate for the Dolphins is such a bizarre move that I can't believe he actually said it.
First of all, it's presumptuous as BNF said. Secondly, how does interviewing with a rival team do anything but enhance his stature as a candidate? He should have talked this through with Jeff Fisher.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
The combination of having a franchise QB and also the 2nd pick in the draft this year is pretty powerful. If Fisher doesn't like Bradford, they can upgrade. More likely, they'll trade that pick to a team like Washington for multiple picks.
Plus being able to bring in his own people in the FO is huge. When you think about taking any new job, one of the biggest things you think about is the
