I've been a Certified Athletic Trainer for over 30 years...... I have never heard of an athlete still in concussion protocol a month after the incident. Remember he was never diagnosed with a concussion according to reports. In order to be in the protocol you still have to have some sign associated with a concussion..... headache, sensitivity to light, slower motor function test, etc.... somethi

Jason whitlock did a piece on Tua the other day. He told the truth. Tua is fragile, has always been fragile. And all the announcers without medical degrees need to stop saying what was or was not done. Hope he gets better soon. If he ever plays again is another story. The other part of this is he is signed thru next year.... if he does play do we even think of giving him an extension?

I have been an athletic trainer for over 30 years. Tua WAS cleared by the medical professional there including an independent neurologist at halftime of the Sunday game. Now, that does not mean he didn't lie that he maybe had a headache or felt dizzy. Medical professionals can only do so much. Now the injury that happened Thursday night, could have happened to anyone. He was slammed into t

I like that we didn't jump back into the first round, see what we have.....then fill two big holes in next years first round.

The Raiders drafted a kicker in the first round a while ago because "he would get you three points every time he touched the ball". Everyone thought that was foolish, but the reasoning was sound and Al Davis was correct. Drafting Araiza who can flip the field and pin them deep is a true weapon and would be a good choice to draft. The only issue is would our coach want his first dra

Overtime in football is foolish, just because the nature of the game. MY PROPOSAL: Since home field advantage ought to be worth something. I propose that if the game is tied at the end of regulation the visiting team is awarded a point and wins. In other words the home team would not kick a field goal to tie the game at the end, they would be forced to break the tie. If the home team i

Already signed the tag. I do like it. I think he can be really good. My question to everyone is.......Is the offensive line and players really just bad football players or is it the coaches we had? I believe that if we add a few key pieces to the OL and get them playing as a unit and coach them up then they have the talent to be successful. If that unit gets better, then all the skill pl

Looks like we finally have put the offensive line as a priority with the new hiring at OC and OL. The OL coach looks like he really knows how to coach them up. I am excited with these two hirings.

Our head coach is Mike McDaniel not Josh McDaniels. He is Yale educated, so he is extremely intelligent. Time to get good assistants and we may be on the right track.

I think the word on the street was that he was Miami's Guy from the start. No one else figured they had a shot to get him so they left him alone. Remember, he was in the playoffs for three weeks and some of the Head Coach positions were already filled before they could even interview him.

I disagree with him throwing his career away with a bad first season. He was given a 5 year contract instead of a 4 year one because everyone knew the Dolphins would stink in his first year.

NO one cared IF he won a game the first season..... we had dumped our best players and were in rebuild mode. Flores started winning games and Ross wanted him to loose to get Burrow. He refused. Reports say he also refused to meet some QB at a marina. Flores refused to play ball with the owner. That and the seven game loosing streak, in a year we were supposed to do something sealed his fate

I do not disagree with you that a lot of the interviews are sham interviews. Do you think if Harbaugh wanted to be the coach of Miami and Ross new that that the other 4 interviews would be anything but a sham. This happens in every walk of life, at most jobs. Should the nail Ross yes, force him to sell, don't take draft picks or anything like that, because essentially he asked and nothing be

So now we finally find out the real reason for his firing. He would not play ball with Ross. If the owner asks you to do something and you don't want to do it, I can respect that. But you have to know you are going to be let go. I also never thought he would play the race card. Didn't see it in him. Discriminatory practices? I am not gonna get started with that. Every place has weird hi

It could be a blessing in disguise. We could pick one of the top running backs....Kenneth Walker or Isaiah Speller and it would not be a "reach". A position that need an upgrade. I would pick Carson Strong QB Nevada if available, don't trust Tua. Maybe a top OT, Edge or LB will fall to us.

I read that if he retires after Feb 4 he gets $15 million bonus. Look for the announcement then.

I changed my mind on taking a chance on Rodgers. He is still under contract and would cost to much to get. Probably three first rounders if not more. This would not be an intelligent move. If he was a free agent like Brady was when he left New England then I would be in favor of the move, but not with him under contract.

The question was do we go after Rodgers if available..... Yes..... Do I think he would come to Miami.....No I think he is still one of the 3 best Qb's in football and upgrade at that position. So I would go after him and let Tua learn or trade him. Miami is no where near Super bowl ready. Need many parts, but Rodgers would be a good addition.

What do you think about selecting..... Carson Strong QB Nevada with our first round pick...... he's a big (6'4' 215lb) strong armed fairly athletic three year starter with a 70% completion percentage in the last two years. He obviously has played in bad weather playing in Nevada. Here is the scouting report on him. Generally patient and efficient from the pocket, Strong threw 486 completions

I agree with most of what is being said about his personality and that's probably why he got fired. TStamper great post above this one. As to Tua got hurt and we lost 4 games because of that.... He is always hurt, and Flores knew that and wanted Herbert...Taking a chance on a fragile QB was a stupid decision!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever the reason was, there obviously was an issue. So who do we get now? I would say Lincoln Riley but he is snugly at USC. I would not even begin to know who to speculate. The guy at North Dakota State? I am soooo confused.
