Everyone knows I have not been a cheerleader for MikeO but I am not entirely happy about his banning the same way I was not happy about Thunder's banning. I like the fact that there are people who disagree with me and post different points of view although sometimes they go about in a childish way. A site full of peace loving clones would get boring quickly.

It's simply in my mind. I am a guy on the other side of a key board typing my points, the same is true with them if I let some complete stranger alter my behavior because of what they say or do what does that say about me. They can go on a rant all they want and the minute I feel the conversation is going nowhere I just simply stop responding to them. In the end they have no real value in my life other than some points they put up on this site.

What I would hate to see is some sort of censorship on the site because then I feel like it takes away from the emotion we all feel about football and the dolphins in general. I agree name calling is childish and not necessary but there is no way some guy calling me a dope on a computer is going to upset me to the point that I stop writing. I am happy to see some old timers back in Ghrot and Aqua and would love to see realist and EG back but let’s not kid ourselves these guys have gone toe to toe on several occasions. MikeO kept the site moving all through the off season and even though I had my words with him I believe he added some value and perspective.

Curt has made his comments and I guess the issue is dead but I wanted to make my point, arguing is part of the process and unless some nut starts sending PM's to someone and really harassing them I really don't see a reason to ban someone for calling another person a nut case.
