I wasnt trying to change anybody's mind Phinfans, why would it matter to me to want to change your mind? I was just responding to comments made.
I think we agree, but you just like to argue with me, you must want to feel needed when I comment(that was my attempt at humor)..lol
We both like what happened in the draft and why, and we both like the idea of drafting a top QB one day, when 4 or 5 of them are off the board at 15, it wouldnt have been the best move. You are still getting the 5 or 6 best guy at that position by draft.
We both like the idea of building a young talented team.

RESPONSE: Now, did my recent post meet with your expectations?
Who did we pass on that you are so upset about Chyren? Mallett, your whole argument is Mallett?
I am not sure Mallet would have been successful right away in our system. Nurture has a role in a QB being successful these days. NE has taken Brady in the 6th rd, and when did they take Cassell in the 7th rd, he flourished as well, and then they traded him for what at least a 1st rder plus. Mallett was drafted higher then both Cassell and Brady, and both are considered franchise QB's...
So the fact Mallett went to the patriots means alot. His chance of success goes up tremendously. Then if he was placed in a start right away jungle rules type of situation.
So we will never know how Mallett would have done on this team but I am guessing without a better center and rb, and some speed at receiver he would have had some problems, similar to Henne last year...

Factually speaking I wasn't discussing anything, I was just trying to get a chuckle out of Phinsfan and Aqua.............it worked
WOW, Ingrahm over Pouncey, when we still got a RB many considered to be in the top elite and not much difference between them other then THomas had the most versatility. Will Ingrahm be that much better then THomas? That is impssible to predict at this point. I like Ingrahm, as well, but am more then satisfied with the Rb, olineman, reciever and TE. Lets see. TO early to take a position against this draft IMHO. As far as needs and perceived value, we seemed to do extremely well, if these guys can play...

RESPONSE: In short, I'm mad because we could have had A) Pouncey and Mallett or b) Ingram and Mallett
and we ended up with C) Pouncey and Danny Thomas.
That's the 1 second version.
I'm not sure I disagree with anything else, anybody else has said in this whole thread or the rest of what you said in your post.
Those who are worshipping Ireland at the altar have to explain why we have C instead of A or B.

RESPONSE: Got no problem with this part.

RESPONSE: Actually that post about "discussing" was meant for A & O, not you.
You're not going to win any points for either humor or perception if it is shown you can't read.
So we got a 6'0 230 lb 4.58 40 RB In the 2nd round and passed on a RB that is 3 inches shorter and 20 lbs lighter that runs the same speed.
We passed on Vanilla Ice QB who every other team in the nfl passed on...
NE could afford to gamble a pick on potential bust and they have a system in place with team players and vets that can school a head case. Miami does not. They are on thin ice.
I haven't seen anyone here that thinks Ireland is all that or as u call it...drinking the koolaid but some of us understand that Parcels ran this team for the last 3 years and he is responsible.
This is Irelands first year as far as I'm concerned.
Drafting....reaching for a high risk QB is a sure fire way to lose your job. Should he do it bc a couple of fans that are speculating about a guys future thinks he should? To show he has ball? Not really a good philosophy.
Its not like he passed on a quality guy like Matt Ryan....Parcels did that.
