I felt pretty much deflated after listening to the game Sunday, no broadcast here in the Northeast. But after watching NFL Replay Tues. Night, I saw many shades of victory.
1. No doubt, we have finally found our QB of the future. Henne continues to show the poise and arm strength we've desperately been seeking. Even that late pick 6 was better than what we've come a custom to (the sack on 4th down with time expiring). He had somebody up in his mug, but knew he had a man over there, and tossed her up. Shows he's not into stats...just trying to win games
2. When it came down to the officials...you're gonna lose a game or two every year, because decisions and cameras are controlled by humans who gamble.
3. Even with #2, and all our missed tackles and dropped balls...we were still in this dog fight right to the very end, which speaks loud and clear that this team is no slouch...just young.
4. When's the last time we put up 30+ points, three games in a row? You'd have to go back to 1991 for that. No longer are we that 6-13 point scoring machine, praying the defense can hold them off for the ugly win.
5. Nobody gave us a chance in hell going in to this thing, and I would be shocked if anyone here thought the score was gonna be what it was at half time.

All in all it was a great game. I'd of relished a true victory, but still see it as one on many fronts. I also am extremely happy with our new owner for finally ridding our stadium of the visitors 12th man. I have never heard her rocking like she is this year. There is a true enthusiasm and belief once again that we are a good team and a force to be reckoned with. Give it some time fans!

Great post.

Just remember how things were just two short years ago - at this time in the season.
