What makes Ginn better than Bess, Hartline, and Camarillo at this point? He's faster, sure, but he doesn't catch as well and he doesn't run routes as well. I'm trying to figure out where this idea of "better" comes from.

I believe Sparano and Parcells feel Ginn has the most "potential" of all our WRs. That's because he's the fastest and most athletic. They continue to play him hoping he'll break out and live up to that potential.
Bess and Camarillo may have reached their potential already, and Sparano knows that Ginn is capable of more. Still, the fact remains that right NOW Ginn is not our best WR.
I can not see Bill Parcells of all people playing a certain player for potential. I'm sorry. Thats not how Bill Parcells is. He plays the best players, plain and simple. He has always said that. Coach Sparano has always said the best players are going to play.
So, that right there makes your theory all, well, hypothetical and a guess on your part.
So, it seems like we can all agree that Sparano's and Parcells' actions have shown that they feel he should start for our team. I don't think that there can be any serious debate about that, given his consecutive starts since the beginning of last year (and maybe even at the end of 07...I don't remember).
I suggested that I felt he could be benched as a way to ensure that he understands how important it is to capitalize on his opportunities. I saw a difference between his last 10 (and especially his last 2) games in 08 vs. his first 3 games in 09. I felt - and continue to feel - that he needs to somehow 'wake up' and play to his capabilities. Some number of drops throughout the course of a season are acceptable (I don't know how many). Some 'off' games are acceptable. He has underperformed in every game this year, relative to his capabilities. I don't think I'm asking that he do something he's not capable of doing. There's no arguing that he didn't catch the game-winning TD against Indy when he elevated, was in position and had both hands on the ball. There's no arguing that he was targeted multiple times against SD and came away with no receptions in spite of the fact that he got both hands on the ball at least a couple of times. There's also no arguing that he stretches the defense or that he is a very effective weapon on reverses.
I suggested benching (benching = not starting) him as a way to wake him up. I'm not trying to pick on him - honestly. Not to get overly religious, but there's a proverb (Proverbs 13:24, actually) that states "He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him." To correct behavior, the administration of discipline is often needed. I don't know whether it was in the vein of discipline or not, but I saw at least a couple of series yesterday when Ginn was not on the field.
To be clear, I am not saying he sucks. I am saying that he is valuable, but that he is not playing to the level of his capabilities. I want that to be corrected. I entrust that to Sparano & Parcells (and I'm certain they're relieved to hear that from me :-) )
Interresting question somebody will surely produce it. Either way though if the coaches feel you are the best on the squad you will get pretty close to 100% of the plays. Anybody out there that can help my young friend Aqua here rest easy please produce the numbers.
Well, the guys other than Ginn will have the better opportunity than he. FIrst of all he is going to be double covered all game and even on top of that he will be covered by one of the top3 CB's in the league in Darrelle Revis.
So hopefully one of those other guys have a big game, because most likely Ginn will not.
Ted Ginn does not suck because Cam Cameron drafted him over Quinn. Dropping a game-winning TD against the Colts is a better illustration of why Ted Ginn sucks.

No he was banned because he was playing games. Aqua is a dolphin fan just like us. Aqua is not playing games IMO.
For the record, I think I am smarter than both of them. I would be willing to bet my IQ is higher and I know more science and math than either of them. I probably know more about politics and economics too. Having heard them both speak, I'm certain I know the English language better than them as well. However, I definitely know far less regarding coaching the game. They have forgotten more about coaching football than I know. But I bet I know more about coaching basketball.

At ease my hooligan friend. At ease. My point is that coaching football isn't rocket science. The truth be known, I would say the vast majority of football coaches that I know aren't too sharp, but they specialized in simple and fun game.
Phinjim, I did not say anybody needed to respect Ginn. I really dont myself.....I have stated numerous times that our biggest and most glaring need on our team is a true #1 WR.
My point was I dont think it takes 437,987,043,876 posts to bash Ted Ginn. I have to skip over Ted Ginn bashing posts to find a few scattered ligitimate discussions.
