I like Ginn. I supported the pick and was glad we didn't pick Brady. You can go back and check it out.

I have emailed back & forth with his dad regarding some high school prospects. I would LOVE for him to breakout.

BUT....to this point, he has proven that he is a ridiculously fast WR, who has not developed into an 'ELITE' #1 WR. I hope he does. I cheer for him. I like when he is in the return game. But he isn't quite there yet.

You have to admit that is true yourself.

Stop trying to box people into your little logic box.

The fact that he is the best we have does not mean he is GOOD ENOUGH to be our #1 WR.

Why did we draft White and release Beck? Beck was the best QB on our roster! Tell me he wasn't! that logic is so flawed it is a joke.

Why draft a LB in the off-season? Crowder is the best ILB on our roster. Why did we sign Jake Grove and trade Samson Satelle? He was the best Center on our team! Bill Parcells only plays the best.

There is nothing hypothetical about the salary cap and draft picks. If Bill could cut Ginn and sign Calvin Johnson it would be done. he can't. he has to acquire talent through the draft, or following Free agency rules.

He isn't going to cut or bench Ginn, he is going to play him until he can upgrade him. And once he DOES have a legit #1 WR he is going to play Ginn until his pro-rated Cap hit does not exceed the cost of replacing him; at which point he will offer Ginn a contract extension commensurate with his true value as a #2.

Also, you should read EVERYTHING people say. IN my Ginn rest thread ( which was merged into the WR prediction thread) I CLEARLY defended starting Ginn. I have NEVER called for his benching.


I don't claim to know more than our F.O.; but, I do claim to understand the issues that they are factoring and managing.

Oh. and by the way! Mr. "Bill & Tony only play the best" go back and re-watch the game and you will see that on a few series, the 2 starting WR's were Hartline and Bess, and Ginn was on the sideline.

Nope. Cam started the first 3 games and lead our team in receiving today.

I never said that because he was our #1 he was great. That I did not.

But the "Ted Ginn sucks just because he does".....posts are ridiculous. For most people he has sucked since his draft day...well, just because.

Oh wow, I didn't notice that. That's the exact lineup I was hoping they'd go with, and we win by 28 points! Sure, it was Buffalo, but I have a feeling that lineup will continue into next game.

I never said he sucks, and I never said we should have drafted Quinn over him. I just think, at this point, he's our 4th-best WR.

Aqua dude I could not resist the anger was too easy to pick on. We will have to fundemantly dissagree on this one. If you have ever followed my posting you will know that I never bash a rookie or call anybody a bust. One good game by any one player does not translate into a good player. In order to be good in my mind you have to be consistant week in and week out in order to be great you have to be a game changer on any given sunday. After three years I am finally of the opinion that Ginn is just not a very good WR.

I have no idea if Harltline is any good, his catch was good now lets see him do that against a number 1 D. Three years should of showed us something out of Ginn by now. So we dissagree this time but I think reality is reality just cause they wear Aqua and Orange on Sunday does not blind me.

By the way were are you in Iraq, unless is OPSEC

That was my whole point. But people dont bash any other WR....guess what!? They suck too.....but you dont hear about that. All we hear is Teg Ginn this and Ted Ginn that, it is just plain old.

Is he a true #1 WR...no. Has he lived up to his #9 draft pick....no.

But ok, Ive gotten over it...but until Parcells/Sparano start somebody over Ginn...he is still our best.
