Did you watch the game? Have you seen his college highlights? Sorry, but having some optimism isn't something to make fun of. Now, continuing to hang your hopes on a guy in his 5th season who hasn't done anything significant in his career...that's funny.

I agree it's time to get rid of Moore, but just say NO to Nick Foles.
Doughty should be the starter, he is the future and potential
Rt should be the backup, he's proven that. That is what he is.
Moore should be #3, he's proven that and aging.
The Dolphins should carry 3 or preferably 4 QBs on the roster with 2 more on the practice squad. Preferably all QB should be young to be groomed. The PHins need to become a QB university team. Just like big time college programs have a batch of QBs, the Dolphins must do the same, and draft and replenish every year, always be grooming a lot of QBs.
The two spots that 4 QBs take away from the roster are not important because those can be filled off the street, and the same cannot be said of the QBs.
You know what? It was just 1 exibition game. However I welcome any kudos for our 7th round QB. Competition can only help the Miami Dolphins.light a fire under Tannys ass. I'm all for it.
He is what he is, Treasure. And he and I grew up within a couple of hundred miles of each other....granted it was the 50s and the early 60's for me. He's a gunslinger. And not the Dan Marino kind, let alone the Bob Griese they are trying to make him.
He's Johnny Manziel and say what you will about Johnny, Johnny did have his time in the sun. Tanny has never had his. BTW Johnny also comes from Texoma land.

I'd be OK with this, actually. Tanny and Moore haven't shown me anything in the last few years that justifies either being a starter. Why not start fresh?

Sure. Thats worked so good for us in the past 16 yrs since Marino retired.
I have 4000 reasons why. He deserves the benefit of the doubt. New Coaches and hopefully some instinctual playing after being uncuffed.

I prefer winning over big stats...but maybe that's just me.
Problem is, Treasure, despite those 4000 yards, no one can ever remember saying, "Whew! I thought that game was lost for sure but in came Tanny riding a White horse and threw the winning touchdown pass by threading the needle between two corners!"
So regardless of any stats he might compile, that kind of statement is what is said of a QB that carries a team. Actually, if I were given the choice between Tanny and David Woodley, I'd pick Woodley without a second thought.
Stats were the function of the system, which was awesome. I will miss Philbin, and Lazor. Tanny threw for ~600 attempts per year, yet the ypa were low.
Overall, Lazor was able to implement one of the most prolific passing and rushing attacks we've seen in decades, in just one camp.
One of the negatives about the system was Tannehill, who could not grow into reading the field, playing the game, and out of locking to presnap target.

Who doesnt? But it takes more then just a good athletic QB to win .

Chren is right!
Something like when rodgers beat us in that last second play.....or the qb of the lions did as well....Last second play.....Dont remember if it was last year or the year before.
I was going...WOW this guy is good.....
Never said that about tannehill....I wish i could....And im sure chren wishes he could too but so far we havent.
Id even take a last second run.....like when flacco beat us a few years back remember? It doesnt even has to be a pass......Just a last second run.

he also had camp nobodies on his side of the ball too, it was not like he was playing with our ones.

Noted. I tend to watch a lot of NBA. Must have had Brad Daugherty on my mind when I wrote this.

Doughty looked like a deer in headlights. I hate to say I told you so but...........TANNY IS OUR STARTER. He will bring us to the the Superbowl if the rest of the Team DOES ITS JOB. Stand behind him . He takes hit after hit and made some pretty incredible throws. Guy is tough. Matt Moore......Not so much. Careful what you wish for , we will now see a whole half of Doughty football. Lets see him make up for the pick 6.
